Veeramani is the president of Dravidar Kazhagam, (from which Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam emerged as a major political party in 1949).

This speech cannot simply be dismissed as a “Sanghi” or “North Indian” interpretation.

For a long time, many people have argued that "Sanatana Dharma" in this context only refers to casteism and not Hinduism itself. But in this clip, Veeramani himself references the 1916 book Sanatana Dharma: An Elementary Textbook, which explicitly states that Sanatana Dharma is known today as the Hindu religion.

This is the same "Eradicate Sanatana" conference where Udhayanidhi made those remarks for the first time

Defending that Sanatan Dharma had different meaning in North vs South where south it means Casteism... Which is just spin of words

So, all those people spinning the meaning of the word "Sanatana Dharmam" to mean "Caste system" are just disagreeing with the Dravidan head's statement... It's just an excuse to mock Hindus undercover

With the president of Dravida Kalagam himself clarifying Sanatan means Hinduism I challenge you people to find a better defence now!

A 31-year-old Muslim man, identified as Zaib Zubair Ansari, stabbed two security guards on duty at an under-construction site in Mira Road, Maharashtra, around 4 a.m. on Monday

Ansari approached the guards, questioned them about their religion, and demanded they recite the Kalma (an Islamic declaration of faith). When they refused or were unable to comply, he attacked them with a knife.

One of the victims sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, while the second suffered minor injuries and later filed a complaint. Police reviewed CCTV footage from the area and were able to identify and arrest the accused within an hour.

A case has been registered under sections related to attempt to murder, along with provisions concerning promoting enmity between groups. The investigation, initially handled by the Thane Anti-Terrorism Squad, has now been transferred to the Mumbai ATS. Authorities have not confirmed any specific motive and have urged the public to avoid speculation as the probe continues.
