Bought a second-hand OnePlus 7 Pro Is this small black circle on white backgrounds normal?

Hi everyone,

I bought a second-hand OnePlus 7 Pro (Android 12). Everything works perfectly (90 Hz, fingerprint, no green line, no burn-in).

I noticed a small black circle on white backgrounds at high brightness. It disappears in dark mode and isn’t noticeable during normal use.

I’m attaching photos from the OnePlus Community because I don’t have another phone to take a picture right now, but it’s the exact same black dot I’m seeing.

I also tried enabling/disabling DC Dimming using:

adb shell am start-activity -a oneplus.intent.action.ONEPLUS_LAB_FEATURE_DETAILS -e oneplus_lab_feature_key oneplus_dc_dimming_value

but on OxygenOS 12 it says “unable to resolve Intent”, and I couldn’t find any DC Dimming setting via ADB either.

Is this black dot just the proximity/light sensor that every OnePlus 7 Pro has, or could it indicate a replaced display? Any help would be appreciated

Whatever Happens Tonight, Thank You RCB ❤️🖤

RCB vs GT.

One more final.

One more chance to defend our title.

Before the match starts, I just want to thank this team for an incredible season.

Being defending champions isn't easy. Every team wants your crown. Every fanbase wants to see you fail. Every mistake gets magnified.

But that's RCB.

It's always been RCB against the world.

And honestly? That's how we like it.

This season had everything.

Virat doing Virat things. As always.

Our captain, our Dhurandhar, Hamza Ali Rapa, leading this team with courage and composure.

Phil Salt giving us explosive starts before injury struck.

Then came Bethell.

And when Bethell got injured too, Venky stepped in and gave us exactly what we needed. Positive intent, fearless cricket, and crucial starts when the team needed momentum.

Tim David with his "no f***s given" attitude, walking in and changing games with pure power.

Duffy came in and impressed.

Suyash stepped up and delivered important performances throughout the season.

A special thank you to Bhuvi and Krunal Pandya.

Whenever things looked difficult, whenever we needed experience, whenever pressure was at its highest, these two were there.

Thank you for saving us again and again this season.

You may not always get the headlines, but every RCB fan knows your value.

And then there are players like Jitesh and Romario.

Let's be honest.

They haven't delivered as consistently as we'd hoped.

But this is a final.

Finals don't care about league-stage statistics.

One catch.

One over.

One innings.

One moment.

That's all it takes to become a hero.

Maybe tonight it's Virat.

Maybe it's Tim David.

Maybe it's Krunal.

Maybe it's Bhuvi.

Or maybe the heroes are Jitesh and Romario.

That's why finals are special.

And Hazlewood?

Maybe he hasn't been at his absolute best this season.

But that's Aussie blood.

We've watched enough cricket to know what Australians become when finals arrive.

You never write them off.

Whatever happens tonight, whether we lift the trophy or fall short, it doesn't change what this team has given us.

The excitement.

The stress.

The comebacks.

The memories.

The belief.

This season has already been worth every second.

So thank you to every player, every coach, every support staff member, and every RCB fan who stayed with this team through everything.

To all the rival fans cheering against us tonight—

Thank you.

Because RCB has never needed the world behind them.

It's always been us against everyone else.

One last battle.

One last dance.

Win or lose, I couldn't be prouder of this team.

Always RCB. ❤️🖤🏆

Script of 31st may final

31st May 11:45 PM

GT chasing 240 need 4 off final ball

Sai Sudharsan batting on 115(61)

Romario Shepherd dishes absolute trash full toss outside off missing the wide line yorker.

Sai creames it over point and it races to the fence..GT players come charging out to celebrate..

Sai looks back and sees the bat has gone back to the stumps.

GT players collapse..rcb players start running.

Umpire calls it a no ball as Romario overstepped.

So rcb players collapse. GT players wake up and start dacning as it is a boundary off a no ball.

But the ball is actually dead the moment bat hits the stumps. So they go to third umpire to see if the ball reached the boundary before the bat hit the stumps..

The replays decide GT/RCB win

Android Auto freezing on crDroid Android 16 (OnePlus 6T)

Anyone facing Android Auto freezing issues on Android 16 / crDroid?

Using a OnePlus 6T on crDroid Android 16 and from the last 2–3 days, Android Auto has been freezing randomly.
The weird part is:

Car screen freezes

Music keeps playing

Google Maps voice still works

Both wired and wireless affected

Sometimes reconnecting fixes it temporarily.

Tried:

Different cable

Rebooting

Android Auto resolution changes

0.5x animations

Disable HW overlays ON (seems to help a bit)

Currently on Android Auto 16.8.661854-release.
Is this an Android 16 issue, Android Auto bug, or crDroid-specific problem?

Second-hand iPhone 17 Pro Max shows AppleCare+ until 2033 — what should I tell my uncle?

Hey Reddit, my uncle (not very tech-savvy) went out and bought a second-hand iPhone 17 Pro Max while I wasn’t home. I just checked the AppleCare+ coverage online, and it shows it expires on 2 October 2033. The model number is MFYA4J/A, which seems to be the Indian variant.

All I know is that AppleCare+ is not sold as a 7-year plan Apple limits coverage to 2 years.

What should I tell him to check with the shop he bought it from? Should he carry the bill and box when asking? What questions should he ask to confirm the coverage is real before relying on it?

Any advice would be really helpful.

Can I swap OnePlus 7 red back panel on a OnePlus 6T?

Hey everyone,

I have a OnePlus 6T as my secondary phone and got a bit bored of its black back panel. I was thinking of replacing it with a red back panel from a OnePlus 7 since they look really similar.

Has anyone tried this? Will it fit properly, or are there hidden differences I should be aware of? Thanks in advance!

Avoid this 2 wheeler repairing shop in 10 no pulia.

Bought an Amron battery from this place a year ago. It kept failing, and I had to replace it 2-3 times. Each time the guy tried to charge me 200-300 Rs even though it was under warranty.

I called the official Amron agency in Nagpur they told me clearly no charges, replace as many times as needed.

Told this to the shop guy and he flat out refused, arguing nonsense. I was done wasting time, so I told him “Gand mai bharle 300 rupee and payment krke” and walked out.

Seriously, if you live in Jaripatka, Indora, Bezonbagh, Qidwai, or Kashmiri Gully, stay far away from this place they will try to scam you under the guise of nominal charges.

Official X app stopped logging in after installing Piko

I’m on OnePlus 6T, LineageOS 15 . The official X app was working fine before.

I installed Piko X/Twitter to try it, and after attempting to login there, the official X app stopped working too. Now it always shows: “Please use X.com or official X apps to proceed with log in/sign up.”

Browser login on x.com works fine, only the app is broken. I already tried reinstalling X and clearing app data/cache. Anyone faced this after using Piko? Any fix?

I’m on LOS and want to hide my 6T’s teardrop notch.

• Developer options only let me change cutout shapes, no real hide

• Overlay apps like Nacho Notch or Roundr freeze the phone

Is there any way to actually hide the notch on LineageOS without breaking the phone?

I’m facing an issue with my OnePlus 6T after trying to update it. I was on LineageOS 22.2, and then I got an update, so I installed it. After rebooting, the phone showed a Qualcomm Crash Dump message.

I tried pressing the power button for 15 seconds, and the phone restarted, but the update didn’t get installed, as you can see in the screenshot.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
