Second-hand iPhone 17 Pro Max shows AppleCare+ until 2033 — what should I tell my uncle?

Hey Reddit, my uncle (not very tech-savvy) went out and bought a second-hand iPhone 17 Pro Max while I wasn’t home. I just checked the AppleCare+ coverage online, and it shows it expires on 2 October 2033. The model number is MFYA4J/A, which seems to be the Indian variant.

All I know is that AppleCare+ is not sold as a 7-year plan Apple limits coverage to 2 years.

What should I tell him to check with the shop he bought it from? Should he carry the bill and box when asking? What questions should he ask to confirm the coverage is real before relying on it?

Any advice would be really helpful.

Can I swap OnePlus 7 red back panel on a OnePlus 6T?

Hey everyone,

I have a OnePlus 6T as my secondary phone and got a bit bored of its black back panel. I was thinking of replacing it with a red back panel from a OnePlus 7 since they look really similar.

Has anyone tried this? Will it fit properly, or are there hidden differences I should be aware of? Thanks in advance!

Avoid this 2 wheeler repairing shop in 10 no pulia.

Bought an Amron battery from this place a year ago. It kept failing, and I had to replace it 2-3 times. Each time the guy tried to charge me 200-300 Rs even though it was under warranty.

I called the official Amron agency in Nagpur they told me clearly no charges, replace as many times as needed.

Told this to the shop guy and he flat out refused, arguing nonsense. I was done wasting time, so I told him “Gand mai bharle 300 rupee and payment krke” and walked out.

Seriously, if you live in Jaripatka, Indora, Bezonbagh, Qidwai, or Kashmiri Gully, stay far away from this place they will try to scam you under the guise of nominal charges.

Official X app stopped logging in after installing Piko

I’m on OnePlus 6T, LineageOS 15 . The official X app was working fine before.

I installed Piko X/Twitter to try it, and after attempting to login there, the official X app stopped working too. Now it always shows: “Please use X.com or official X apps to proceed with log in/sign up.”

Browser login on x.com works fine, only the app is broken. I already tried reinstalling X and clearing app data/cache. Anyone faced this after using Piko? Any fix?

I’m on LOS and want to hide my 6T’s teardrop notch.

• Developer options only let me change cutout shapes, no real hide

• Overlay apps like Nacho Notch or Roundr freeze the phone

Is there any way to actually hide the notch on LineageOS without breaking the phone?

I’m facing an issue with my OnePlus 6T after trying to update it. I was on LineageOS 22.2, and then I got an update, so I installed it. After rebooting, the phone showed a Qualcomm Crash Dump message.

I tried pressing the power button for 15 seconds, and the phone restarted, but the update didn’t get installed, as you can see in the screenshot.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Performance is smooth as hell no random stutters, no lag, everything just works the way it should’ve from the start. What surprised me more is the battery life. I’m easily getting noticeably better screen-on time compared to stock. Standby drain is also way lower.

Also slapped on a matte screen guard and damn… it completely changes the vibe. The phone looks clean, minimal, and lowkey premium. Plus no fingerprints, no glare it just feels better to use overall.

Didn’t expect a 6T in 2026 to feel this fresh. Anyone else still running Lineage on older devices? How’s your experience been?
