I don't feel confident enough to call myself a woman in public even though I'd like to be called a woman

I'm MTF pre transition and I'm living with transphobic parents and I can't come out to them because of that. They also limit how I express myselfthey don't even allow me to shave legs/arms hair because they think you shouldn't do that as a guy. I'm literally doing nothing rn to look like a woman so I feel it would be stupid if I said I'm a woman when I look nowhere like one. All people immediately assume I'm a guy cuz there's barely anything feminine about me. Is anyone going through something similar?

Is it realistic that lots of websites still say "people with DMD die at 20s or 30s"?

I really hate doing research on DMD online especially as someone who has DMD. Searching literally leaves me feeling miserable for the rest of the day. But I genuinely feel this line is very unrealistic with today. Lots of people with DMD are living well into 30s, 40s, and I've heard some even live till their 50s.

Is there any other trans people like me who don't want to do any surgery?

I do feel some dysphoria from my thing down there having a bulge that appears when wearing trousers/shorts but I don't feel dysphoria about the part itself if this makes sense. Additionally the idea of surgery terrifies me as I had to do a big spine surgery and my recovery was very rough so I left the hospital feeling a bit traumatised. Does anyone relate to this? I see everyone talking about getting surgeries but I really don't want to do any. I only want HRT and that's it.

Is it weird to be trans and not have my story be something like "I always knew since I was 8 and I never felt like a boy/girl"?

I've realised I'm a trans girl about a week ago but I noticed a lot of trans people say they've always hated their gender since childhood but that's not the case for me. I used to be comfortable being seen as a boy when I was a child. I've always hated body hair ever since it started growing out tho and when I turned 16 I started wanting to dress femininely but was never able to because of my parents. I've also had thoughts at this point like "what if I was a girl".

Last week these thoughts became more like "I wish I was born a girl and I'm uncomfortable being a guy". Does this still make me trans? I really love being a girl and I do not want to be a guy...

I'd like to add that i enjoyed role playing being a mum as a child tho so maybe that's related.

Looking for trans friends

Hiii I was questioning my gender a few days ago and I realised I'm a trans girl! ✨️🏳️‍⚧️ I'm 18 and I'd love to get to know some fellow trans people and chat together. I'm into gaming, nature, hanging out with friends, going to the cinema, listening to music, and some photography! I don't actually own a camera but I do enjoy taking pictures with my phone lol 😭😂

Here's a list of game I played and bands I like:

Games: Hollow Knight, RDR2, TLOU2, GTA games, GOW 2018 and GOW Ragnarok and lots of other games

Music: I'm mostly into rock but don't mind experimenting with other music here's a list of bands I listen to: Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Metallica, and Radiohead. I do listen to some other bands but those are main ones.

I'm not that much into TV shows but I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Drop me a DM if you're intrested in talking :)

I think I might be trans...

I'm an 18 years old guy (currently still identifying as one) and for the past year or so I've been wanting to look softer and present myself in a feminine way. It started as just wanting to be feminine and not wanting to change my gender. But for the past few days I really feel something is changing and I feel excited, scared, and confused about all of it. I feel I don't want to be viewed as a "man" and everytime someone calls me that I just feel irritated and don't like it. If I woke up tomorrow as a girl I genuinely wouldn't mind it in fact I feel I'd be very happy and if there was a button that would make me a woman I'd press it without thinking if everyone around me supported me.

I also don't have the strong feelings of gender dysphoria that a lot of trans people go through which is making me question whether I'm truly trans or not. I absolutely hate being masculine and beign seen as a "man" but why do I not feel feel a very strong desire to immediately chane my gender identity? Is it because I'm still new with these feelings? Another factor that is making me a bit hesitant is my parents not being supportive of LGBTQ+ identities, they already don't know I'm pansexual and I know they'd hate me for it but then knowing I want to transition would make them even more mad I'm scared of their reaction.

Am I trans?

I'm so scared that I might have to open up to my parents in the future and I don't even know how I'm gonna do it...

I've got homophobic parents due to religious reasons and it really hurts a lot to live in a family like this. Add to that I'm physically disabled and currently depend on them for care. I'm planning to move out and im doing everything I can to do but unfortunately I don't get any benefits or housing support so it's even harder for me to move out... but even tho I'm planning to move out and have carers I'm still scared of opening up even when I do move out like I feel socially anxious lots of times too and I don't know if I can really hold an argument with them.

At the same time I want to build a life with a partner eventually and live on my own terms. My parents expect me to live like they want for example I can't even get a piercing, tattoos, or even paint my nails (I'm a guy) and basically they just have a lot of religious expectations and I'm so tired of this. I can't just keep hiding my true self forever... I want to express myself the way I want to and have a relationship with any gender. I don't think a relationship is even gonna be possible if I'd be closeted about the partner for my parents forever. I've heard people saying they wouldn't want to be with a closeted partner but I totally get it.

Still tho I'm really scared of actually telling my parents and it really feels like a nightmare that I actually have to tell them to actually live the way I want. I genuinely can't live like this anymore and feel constantly scared from my parents it really sucks...

I just thought I'd vent here because I'm pan and I live in the UK and I think a lot of people here would relate to me and I'm sure most people here are very understanding.

Also I'm 18 so if there's anyone who is around 18-25 I'd get really happy to talk as I don't really have LGBTQ+ friends 🙃

Is alcohol actually worth all that hype?

I'm 18 and I never had a sip of alcohol in my life, is alcohol really worth all that hype? I've got a medical condition that makes alcohol much more risky to drink than a regular person so I avoid it but I'm really curious how drinking actually feels. I've tried taking puffs of vape several times does it feel similar to that when you drink?

What's the best way to get to London as an electric wheelchair user?

I'm planning to go to London with a support worker but I've got an electric wheelchair. I don't want to use a taxi because it's very expensive and I'm scared of using trains, are bus coaches a good option? I'd appreciate any advice!

Hi. My dad has a skilled worker visa and I'm dependent on his visa but we're having a problem linking the travel document. We have a travel document for Palestinian refugees which was issued by the Lebanese government so we don't really have a normal passport. We currently use our expired BRP to get a share code but we can't use it after the end of June so what should we do?

Would UKVI be able to give us share codes if we called them and asked for a share code to prove our immigration status?

I'm 5 months and few days post op and I have an appointment to check my back next month but for some reason I'm really terrified of the possibility of having to do surgery again. Like I'm not having any pain except some discomfort sometimes but I'm still really scared. Does anyone else feel the same? The idea of going through surgery all over again sounds absolutely horrible

Edit: I know there's a spelling mistake in the title but I can't edit titles

Idk what subreddit is suitable to post this but anyways. So I'm an 18 years old pan guy and idk why I get so anxious around women my age. Like I feel much less anxious with female staff at my college and older women in general for some reason. How do I stop being anxious around women my age? I've never really had female friends before irl so that might be the reason but I really want to start befriending anyone no matter their gender so is there any tips? Thanks!
