I’m in the process of upgrading my home theater and one of my goals is to be able to get AC-3 audio from my laserdisc player. So I thought this would come in handy. Plus I just wanted it for the novelty! 😁

I may be showing my age but I feel like Gunsmith Cats isn’t talked about enough these days. It had some incredible production values for the time, especially in the sound design!

Yet another episode where I feel genuinely bad for Genta! This kid just can’t catch a break!
Also poor Genta! As someone who got frequent nosebleeds as a kid I genuinely felt bad for him here.
I really miss the old music. I adored the score to this series right from the beginning but I’m about 464 episodes in and they changed the music recently. I don’t mind new tracks but I really wish they had used a combination of the old and new cues.
I had to look at another episode to see if I was crazy or if he was just off model.
Sherlock Hound is the MVP this year! Given how few booths were actually selling anime I was shocked to find a copy!
I had a surprisingly hard time finding booths that actually sold anime.
Gonna watch Boyz N the Hood because I never got the bluray so seeing it in 4K will be awesome! Also I haven’t seen Poetic Justice in years so I’m looking forward to rewatching it.
Wall-E is my favorite Pixar film and while I initially was planning to stick with the original Blu-ray since that represents its original resolution, once Criterion announced they were releasing it in 4k that was a no-brainer! Hoping they do Up as well.
No blind buys here. This was intentional.
My next pickups will be House Party and Sweet Sweetback’s Badasss Song.
