Apple Watch sleep duration vs Sleep Cycle

I use my Apple Watch SE2 and Sleep Cycle app on my iPhone to track my sleep since they do different things. Sometimes the discrepancy between the two in recording how much I slept is crazy - last night Sleep Cycle says I slept 6h23 and my Apple Watch says I got 8h10. Which is actually more accurate as far as sleep duration goes?

What happened to UFM Fuji supermarket at Phrom Phong? Will it ever reopen?

It’s been “temporarily closed” for over 6 months now I think, not sure of exact timeline.

No dryer and my linen is so stiff and scratchy

I’m in SE Asia where dryers are relatively uncommon. I air dry my linen clothes indoors on a drying rack and they always end up so stiff and scratchy. At the end of the day of wearing it, it softens up but given the heat and humidity here I then need to wash it again after 1 wear. How do you keep your linen from being so stiff and scratchy when air drying it inside? I don’t have the option of drying it outdoors.

The beauty of red dragonfruit

I love the colour of red dragonfruit and have found the intensity of colour varies in different countries. This one is from Thailand and is very small but beautiful and delicious.

Which variety of passionfruit do you prefer?

I’m in Thailand and have found these yellowish green ones (they call them “honey” passionfruit in English here) as well as the purple ones I’m more familiar with. The yellow ones have a very different flavour, less sour than the purple ones.

BTW just bought a kilo (2.2 pounds) of the purple ones for 70 Thai baht (less than €2 or around USD $2)

I love Khlong Toei Market!

This market is huge and very busy and is very much a working market. It’s not a place to really be a tourist per se but it’s wonderful for finding ingredients for cooking and for seeing what’s currently in season.

Sleeping heart rate

I notice that sometimes my Apple Watch records a fairly high heart rate while I’m sleeping. 99 bpm is high for me as my resting heart rate is around 51. Do you get this too? Is it just a normal aspect of the different sleep stages?

Choline not in nutrients list?

I would like to track my choline but don’t see it listed in Cronometer unless I just am not seeing it somewhere?

Choline is an essential nutrient that the body needs to function correctly, impacting liver function, brain health, muscle movement, the nervous system, and metabolism.

Vegans in particular might be deficient as it seems most sources are from animals.

Target HR during cardio workouts if my resting HR is around 50bpm?

I want to do cardio workouts and am not sure what my target HR should be if my resting HR is around 50bpm. It used to be around 55bpm before I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib and started taking Concor (bisoprolol). My doc said not to do HIIT so I try to keep my HR steady during cardio workouts but don’t know what I should be aiming at since normal HR workout charts don’t take AFib and medication that lowers HR into account.

Can I go to JB and back on same day to get new tourist visa?

I am visiting friends in Singapore and my nationality gets 30 days tourist visa on arrival. I would like to stay aprox 80 days total.

I applied for an extension which was granted but when that was almost expired I applied for another extension which was denied.

So do I need to leave the country for a few days before coming back or can I go to Johor Baru and come back right away? I haven’t done any type of “visa run” before for Singapore. Thanks!

I wear an Apple watch and my move ring goal is 500 calories a day. I struggle to reach it if I don’t work out. So I’m curious what other women around my age have as their daily goal. Even if I lift weights for an hour that burns around 100-130 calories, then I usually do some form of gentle cardio (I can’t do HIIT due to heart issues with AFib) for about 30-40 minutes which burns another 150-200 calories if I do around 40 minutes. Then the rest is walking around etc. But if I don’t work out I only get to around 300 calories even if I walk over 10K steps. And my understanding is one should have at least one day off from the gym but I would like to meet my move / calorie goals every day.

I just started using Cronometer a week ago and like it but I’m above my fat macro limit of 51g every day. I’m F, vegetarian, in my early 50s, weigh 60kg and am moderately active.

My main protein sources are pea protein powder, firm tofu, chick peas, greek yogurt, edamame, cheese etc. Fats are from the protein sources and nuts and seeds in small amounts.

My partner says that it must be wrong and that it’s way too low. Thoughts?
