Ahoj! I'm looking to move to Brno next year to live there for a while, and I got a few questions :)

  1. How does the job market look in Brno? I'm studying Czech but I'm likely only going to reach A2 at most maybe B1 by the time I move. I speak English, Hungarian and some Spanish/Finnish too. Don't have a STEM (im a law school dropout) I most got experience working as an office admin

  2. Do doctors usually speak English or should I learn some specific phrases for health related stuff? I have an autoimmune disease so I'll likely try to get in contact with a specialized doctor for bimonthly checkups.

  3. What's the social life like? I know there are a lot of foreign students but I was wondering if there are recreational places like parks or gyms or hangout places like board game clubs that are popular and people speak in English there.

Anything worth knowing? I got this opportunity because a friends studying there and they need a roommate and I felt like it's a really good opportunity for me to gain a new perspective.

Děkuju za přečteni! :)

▲ 44 r/CPAP

If you're struggling with the CPAP machine I just want to tell you, it will get better.

I spent the last 2 years before this year's spring sleeping through most of the day. I'd wake up in the afternoon, feel sleepy by 3-4 PM, and nap until the evening. Then I'd stay up until 2-4 AM not being able to sleep and wake up tired the next day again and again.

I brushed it off as depression, I couldn't work, had to move home to my mom's house. Thought that's it, this is it for me, this is my life now. Then I happened across a reddit post about a fat guy not breathing in his nap for over a minute, everyone in the comments were talking about this 'CPAP' machine. I googled it out of curiosity and behold, I immediately dialed multiple hospitals near me, all busy all year, had to be on a 9 month wait list. One day my mom was calling one of them while I was sleeping and she told the nurse that we're thinking about buying a used CPAP to try it out and she freaked out and gave us a 'red light' spot which meant as soon as anyone cancelled I'd get their appointment. After the sleep study the doctor shook my hand and said "Congratulations on nailing the diagnosis" I didn't want to tell him I got the idea off of reddit so I took that glory for myself.

After that I got the machine, never felt so defeated. I tried and tried and I couldn't get used to it. I could only sleep 3-4 hours with it at most a night, usually with the lights on.

Then something in me snapped.

I told myself "This is my safety mask, while I wear this it's like a knight wearing his helmet. I cannot suffocate with it, there is enough air, I am safe."

Once I had this epiphany, all my fears vanished. I gave myself over to the mask and for the first time in a decade slept. I woke up at 4-5 am at first, a bit sleepy but extremely bursting with energy. My mom the first few weeks asked "Did you sleep at all?" assuming I spent the whole night awake, and I told her "Yup!" which was met with a confused look.

TLDR: I went from going to bed at 2-4 am and waking up in the afternoon only to nap again... to going to bed by 9-12 and waking up at 5-6 am on my own. No amount of life hacks or brute forcing worked while getting used to the machine, it was all a mental barrier.

Now I'm not even daring to imply I know how all 8 billion of you feel or think, I just want to offer this post to those who now, or in the future, are struggling with their condition. If you are like I was, angry, frustrated, confused and afraid, and you frantically googled and found this thread. I want you to know that you are not alone. It worked for me, I cannot in good consequence promise you it will be the same for you, we aren't the same person after all. But I want you to find this thread and get some hope that it can get better.

Have a blessed day, thanks for reading.

I have a medium-high level artificer NPC and I have a unique weapon in mind for him but I don't know how to implement it, how should I go about it?

The idea was that this guy would be a medium-high level veteran Battle Smith Artificer who uses metal runes in his body and metal bracelets to conjure up magical items. The weapon I had in mind for him is something similar to Artanis/Zealots from Starcraft, where they have an energy blade on both hands as a weapon. In my story he would bump his fists together and the kinetic energy from the impact would serve as a catalyst to conjure up these blades from his bracelets, my question is can I just use This for it or would it be too powerful?

Ti hogyan oldjátok meg a kemény csapvizet?

Nagyon kivan már hogy mennyire szar a csapvíz teába/kávéba és elegem van a sok ásványvizes palackból. Milyen megoldás lehetne a legegyszerűbb erre?

If your thumbnail is made with AI I'm clicking the "Don't recommend Channel" button.

Sorry if this is a frequent post.

I'm sick of trying to find new people to watch on youtube and this is what I see 5/6 times by smaller channels.

I don't care if you have 4 jobs and 7 kids and 3 wives. If you want to make videos that's awesome but just like how you put in the effort to record yourself put in 5 minutes to google a picture from the game you're playing and open Paint or any other free tool and draw some shitty stick figure guys or something. Compared to the 0% chance that I'll watch a video with a shitty AI thumbnail, I'll be infinitely more likely to watch your video even if it's just the main logo of the game with your channel name written in bold red text under it.

edit: To clarify, if you make an image yourself in Photoshop or whereever and use AI a tiny itty bitty bit to make the image be upscaled or sharper that's NOT what this post is about, this is about really obvious, low effort AI thumbnails, this shouldn't need to be said.

I met dad again after 13 years... I don't know what I expected

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post I'll delete it if it is.

I have a pretty shitty family, my mom is a sociopath with narcissistic tendencies and undiagnosed autism(?) and my dad probably has full blown narcissism. To elaborate, my mother remembers every event that ever happened (according to her) things like her saying how I on 2009 September 8th didn't say thank you to her when she baked me something I asked for, or how in 2011 February 15th I didn't do the dishes (fully expecting me to remember these events and respond as if it happened yesterday) she also has a massive superiority complex at work and everywhere else, she has zero friends and talks about people she talks to as if they were tools shes currently using. She only shows love to our pets, we have 2 right now and in the past when my childhood dog died she was so devastated she overdosed xanax through multiple days until I called everyone on her phone (how I found out she had no friends) until one of the "tools" came here and told her she'll take her shopping to snap her out of it (not long later she cut ties with this person due to her political views).

When I was young, my mom treated me strangely, she really hated my dad because he wasn't earning as much money as she was and he was desperately jumping between gigs to make money and climb the social ladder. My dad and her drifted away and started hating each other. My mom groomed me to on her side to the point where she'd often terrorize me by randomly telling me how "Dad's going to leave us here to starve, go and count how many toys you have so we can sell them to not have to sell our house for a while longer" one vivid memory of mine is me being 8-9 crying and shaking with a kitchen knife she gave me at the door psyching myself up "I'll stop him from leaving."

A bit later my dad announced that he can't stand living here anymore and left, I was maybe 14 at the time, my dad quickly found a new family and seemingly moved on. My mom continued her ways but with my dad out of the way I had to take the role of the villain in my teenage years and the pets became her new "children" I remember how anytime I did something bad she'd very loudly talk to the dogs/cat things like "Look my darling do you see how bad OP is? He is such a cruel person I think he wants to see you suffer!" Long story short after a really bad time at school (that came from me not being socialized at all in a home like ours and having become bullied over not knowing how to interact with others) I lashed out by yelling at her, which she responded with by trying to pepper spray me, and as I was a scared 16 year old I did what I thought was right and covered my face with one arm and started swinging with my other hand to knock the spray out of her hand, but instead I ended up decking her and she fell over. She started screaming and wailing about how she'll get me arrested or killed for this, our neighbor was a nice couple and they came over and assessed the situation and the husband took me to one room to talk with me as I was crying and the wife stayed with my mom as she was cursing.

After this, my mom passed me over to my dad saying she was terrified of her life, my dad was pretty pissed having to deal with me in his new family so I felt like a black sheep, I had my own room at the far end of his house and I just stayed there most of the time, he has a massive mansion like house (no idea where the money came from, it turned out he was the CEO of a company and was quite loaded) and he even had a stable where I was forced to clean up after the horses, to this day I can't forget how disgusting those stables smelled.

After a few weeks I was allowed to have my phone again, my mom was texting me vehemently all this time, telling me how she didn't mean what she said and all that, I was a foolish kid so I believed her. I told her how I felt at my dads place and she immediately told me to go home. My dad was livid for this since this isn't what they agreed with, so after that incident I stopped all contact with my dad and settled for the hell that is my mother's insanity.

Fast forward to the future, I'm nearly 30 with multiple mental and physical health issues. I'm obese, cannot sleep without a sleeping device, can barely walk, have an autoimmune disease and I have PTSD and anxiety from people speaking my native tongue (due to repeatedly being bullied in school since I had no socialization whatsoever) and I coped with it by constantly telling myself "It's okay the world isn't cruel it's just this country and it's people that are cruel" and before I knew it I started getting anxious just by hearing my native language, I went abroad a few times and I had none of these issues so I can confidently confirm it's because of the fear associated with the language.

So after all this hell, I decided maybe my mom was wrong and I called my dad's company's number and asked for him, he picked it up and we talked, he seemed understanding at first. Sadly that changed.

My dad after over 13 years still exhibits the same narcissistic behavior my mom said he had, he constantly talks over me, he listens to what I say for about the first 15 seconds then he decides he gets the picture and finishes my thoughts for me and starts talking about what to do (for example, I told him about my anxiety issues and feelings of inferiority due to my circumstances and he referred to this as "I know you think you're ugly, but") I told him about how I get anxiety and immense stress whenever I'm out in public and how it took me 5 years to be able to start using public transport again after the events at school and he just said he cannot accept that I'm not patriotic, he says that all this will happen abroad too (it hasn't in 4 different countries when i visited friends) and I need to find a place to work here, I told him that in my last local job I tried to kill myself after 3 weeks due to being surrounded and forced to interact with other people of my nationality and he just said that's not true (despite there being medical records of me being brought to a clinic after my DIY suicide device was discovered) and then when I told my dad that I take meds daily for my autoimmue disease and mood stabilizers for anxiety/depression he asked if i'd be better off not taking any meds (including those for my autoimmune disease). He also was mad at me for not asking him how he felt when he was "forced" to get a second family, and was upset with me when I didn't talk about him and what I remember from my childhood (I have almost zero good memories from my childhood)

So to TLDR it: My moms a sociopath with narcissistic tendencies and undiagnosed autism, my dad has full narcissism and he told me that my issues aren't acceptable for him, he doesn't want me to take medicine for either my physical or mental health as he doesn't believe in medicine, and he disregards everything I tell him and just responds with whatever he assumes is related to what I'm talking about instead of hearing me out first. After a traumatic childhood at home, school everywhere in this country, I developed severe anxiety and I get in a state of panic just by having to hear people speak my native language near me.

I want to move out of this country and not be in contact with either of my biological parents but I need their money to get started abroad, so I'm forced to lick their asses until they are open to the idea of lending me some. Sorry for the wall of text.

Opinion: Attacking Asmongold's looks, hygiene and physical health will never make any of his fans change their minds about him, if you truly want his fans to wake up to how much of a loser he is, attack where it hurts.

I don't know many leftist streaming/gaming culture subreddits so sorry if this isn't the right place for this type of stuff.

Disclaimer: If you want to just shit on him for all the stuff mentioned above I'm not trying to stop you, you're an adult you do you, this post is for people who want to get his fans to reconsider supporting him.

To begin: I don't like Asmongold and haven't liked him for over a decade, but as a kid, I did watch his DECADE OLD world of warcraft videos (before he got into politics) and I wanted to offer some ideas to those still in the twitter and reddit trenches trying to get people to stop supporting the hate Asmongold spreads daily.

The people watching Asmongold are very often people who relate to him in more ways than just hate: low income, red state/balkan rightoid people, and often they share his physical demeanor, as well as his denial towards balding, nearly rotten teeth and dental hygiene, how he has given up on sex and romantic relationships, and also what we're going to look at to try change some of his supporters mind his veteran gaming rep!

Asmongold started out as a mere MMO gamer, for years he just stayed in his lane and made youtube videos of him playing Wow then eventually started streaming it during one of the worse expansions of the game The Warlords of Draenor due to how boring the game got. We are going to try and attack Asmongold through his inability to meet fans expectations when it comes to his gaming prestige in the one game he was adamant he is good at. Going back to 2014, for instance, in this playlist, we can see him showing how he got carried or boosted through dungeons during Mists of Pandaria on one of his characters while labeling it as a 'guide' despite how little he contributed in the video In the [one guide he made related to endgame raiding at the time], the guide was lacking at best, surface level and pretty much just reading out loud what was available on online guides already. He also hasn't done his rotation correctly as it was common to use the mobility spell "Heroic Leap" during the burst window every 20 seconds as a Fury warrior due to it being "Off the GCD (global cooldown)" and usable near bosses massive hitbox all the damage amplifiers would easily cause the mobility spell to deal nearly a million extra damage each use, something as huge as that was missing from his guide and more.

some of you may just say "yeah he may have been bad at the time but that was forever ago he got better later!"

In the next 2 years, he continued raiding during the Warlords of Draenor expansion, sadly I myself have not, so I can't speak much about his performance at the time, maybe he hasn't taken the game or gaming all that seriously and it was a hobby? Well... at the time he had very strong opinions about women who streamed themselves gaming for their 'sexuality' and he vowed that he will continue taking gaming seriously so we can safely assume even back then he was giving his all trying to work on that gamer rep!

Come Legion, the game and Asmongold became really popular, sadly Asmon's long time guild fell apart during this expansion and he was sad to announce how he had to give up trying to hold it together. I don't want you to use this as ammunition as once again many of his viewers experienced having to give up on a guild or group of people in a game and it'll just make fans who went through this themselves want to support him more.

Instead what we should focus on is his #1 personal raiding achievement... the [Rank 1 DPS (damage dealer rankings) on the boss Star Augur.] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXNm5mJA6Hg)

Now, while we cannot dispute the numbers, let's look at what caused this to happen. Was it his insane mechanic skill and his unrivaled ability to build the perfect character? Was it him awakening his true potential as man and gamer?

Nope.

In Legion there were a lot of interesting passive skills thanks to the Artifacts we were given, each class and specialization having unique ones. Asmongold just so happened to be a lifelong Warrior main and Warriors happened to have access to an infinitely scaling damage buff in Juggernaut! For context: 'Execute' is a spell you can only use on a single enemy once they're under 20%(think at the time may have been 30%?) health.

So here is what happened. Asmongold himself will tell you in the video above "During the fight we opted to kill the 2nd add, everyone swapped to it, except me, I kept stacking (Juggernaut) because that was our strategy." Then, half the group died to a mechanic. Luckily Asmongold survived! Even he said "Everyone else is dead which is good for me!" And Asmongold continued to ignore responsibility as the raid leader, making others do non personal mechanics during the encounter so he can spam his 1 (near)infinitely increasing damaging spell. Thanks to half his group being dead, the time he can spend in the 'Execute phase' increased substantially, the time where his damage keeps scaling due to nothing from his own skills.

To translate this into non gamer: Imagine you're playing soccer, and you (who happened to also be the coach aka raid leader) said: "Let me stand by their goalpost and let me just score goals." since the opposing team is the computer, imagine a cardboard cutout goalkeeper, so you have 10 people passing the ball to Asmongold, and as the time gets closer to 90 minutes, his goals start counting for more and more, in the last 10 minutes, half his team moves off the field so he has even more chances to score goals. Then he finishes the match with a world record and brags about how great he is.

I could go on about buying Gladiator titles, getting boosted once he became popular, but there is too much to cover and by then he was a "retired hardcore gamer" so people won't really care, so the point is: Asmongold's fans will take it as a personal attack if you insult something they share in common with him, but if you tell them that Asmon is a casual and larper who despite spending his first two decades gaming as a 'hardcore World of warcraft gamer' has no real outstanding achievements from his own mechanical skill, they might just start reconsider his gaming legacy, and once they're doubting that, they may reconsider his politics too.

Thanks for reading!

If you're a new player and you want currency heres a farm that netted me 1 divine (at the moment almost 400 exalts) in 10 minutes at lvl 2 in act1.

Disclaimer: Only works in the current league Runes of Aldur.

Whether you're a late starter or a newcomer, you probably want some nice pieces of loot while leveling. People who are playing alts want to get them going asap, so they need some items only lvl 1 characters can use, this is what we're farming.

Disclaimer 2: You do need around a thousand gold for this, or if you want exalts you can try asking in global for anyone to trade the divines(s) with you in person.

Step 1: Go to the first zone and find and help Farrow.

Step 2: Find the Mud Burrow on the right side of the map and clear it until you find the current league event mechanic (Verisium remnant aka blue stone thingy)

It should only offer you 2 options: Skill Gem and Skill Support Gem. Take the SKILL GEM option. Not the support.

Step 3: Finish the event and loot the stone. Run to a checkpoint and teleport to the start. Leave the area and CTRL Left click on the entrance to select a fresh instance and enter it to repeat this as many times as you'd like.

Step 4: Go to the starting town and in your browser go to https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2 and type in literally anything into the search bar while you have "INSTANT BUYOUT" selected in the top right. It doesn't matter what item it is, you just want to borrow their hideout.

Step 5: You should be teleported next to a shopkeeper NPC called Ange. Talk to her, click on Currency Exchange, CTRL + Left click your Skill Gem in your inventory, and select Divines at the left side. At the moment I'm writing this [I sold 3 for 1 divine.] (https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1380544685604339857/1520364827095203840/image.png?ex=6a40ed95&is=6a3f9c15&hm=0239c242df8b7e4754a86988a47baa67eca7bb858d745eb3a1e064a89270f3eb&=&format=webp&quality=lossless) for 1000 gold.

Step 6: Either spend your divine as it is on whatever you want or ask in Global if someone could exchange your divine for exalts (make sure you ask for around ~50 less exalts than it is worth so people don't just find you annoying and actually get something out of the trade)

Obviously this farm will get worse the more people do it so I'm advising you to check the price on these gems before doing this.

Dear GGG, if you're designing an entire mechanic around requiring you to kill every single mob to finish said mechanic, maybe don't use maps that can spawn mobs outside the map, turning them undamagable, bricking the mechanic and the whole map in the process.

Trying to play a KB Elementalist build, stuck on what to do next

Hey! I wanted to play KB this league and started a few days ago, I've reached a point where I felt like I should be doing fairly well in t16.5 harvest/breach maps but even little investment maps can end up with rares just chain killing me, or projectiles during harvest insta killing me. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

https://maxroll.gg/poe/pob/4i41oz0n

I was following a leveling guide I found on google but I realized it too late that the guide was made for Keepers so I had to progress with my own limited knowledge of the game. I was planning on getting a better cluster and a second one with Storm drinker and Sadist.
