Has anyone had kenalog steroid injected for graft thickening? And does this type of thickening ever resolve on its own?

I am a little over two months from Mohs surgery/skin graft and as you can see the graft is noticeably raised/thickened at this point.

The plastic surgeon wants to inject a kenalog steroid but I'm nervous about it after researching some of the side effects/outcomes, though there is also not a ton of information online to work from.

Wondering about others experiences with it, and whether anyone knows if the graft might flatten out on its own with enough time...I want to trust the surgeon but feel like it's a tough call

DOG literally co-starring with Brad Pitt: Hollywood making full-on nutter movies now

Friends if you have not yet seen this atrocity it will truly blow your mind.

So I decide to take in a movie by myself yesterday which I don’t do often… I smoke some weed and get myself settled in the theater,  it’s the afternoon and there are only about five other people there…
The first trailer that comes up is for a movie starring Brad Pitt and yes, a GERMAN SHEPARD. Watching this thing high, I was laughing under my breath the entire time but struggling to stifle full-blown guffaws at the idiocy I was witnessing (not that it would’ve mattered but I didn’t hear anyone else laughing so it seemed awkward) I literally had to look down from the screen to keep myself together.

Unless you think it will trigger you I encourage you to see this for yourself (just search 'Brad Pitt dog movie' on youtube)...but here's a little breakdown of what I sat through:

The trailer starts with Brad cooing over his dog in a tent- then an explosion happens and he wakes up in a full on PTSD flashback to some middle east conflict that he AND the dog were in- at the end he hugs the dog telling it that they’ll both be okay while the animal stares vacantly into space

In the next scene we see that the dog has a metal bionic leg and some metal teeth (!) while Mr Pitt explains to a scraggly J.K. Simmons how the dog suffered those injuries at the hands of the enemy in war.  When Brad says that he shot the guy who did it in the head Simmons laughs with delight. (We are starting to get the idea that this dog is Bad. Ass.)

Next Brad is taking off into the deep deep wilderness with the dog for some reason when his small plane goes down in a river. But don’t worry, we see the dog dragging Pitt out of the water and saving his life (hero dog!)

The rest is just them going through increasingly absurd obstacles/action stunts further solidifying in your mind the fact that Brad and (mostly) this dog are BADASS.

So apparently Hollywood is making movies EXCLUSIVELY for nutters now, because who else in their right mind would pay to see this dog pandering drivel.  I can completely imagine a theater full of nutters cheering at the dogs badassery and tearing up when he almost dies or whatever the fuck

Comrades this is not a good sign, especially if it does well at the box office, but damn, if you need a good laugh...

Been keeping my Pompeian EVOO in plastic bottle next to my kitchen window like a dope for years...

I mean, not the same bottle for years obv- but I probably go through one every couple of months

oh well- I know better now and at least it apparently can't sicken me...FWIW I only use it to scramble my eggs and I've never noticed a taste issue... I suppose the sunlight could have been degrading the nutritional quality/polyphenols but I would have no way of knowing that

When Pete Townshend sings how he's "going to drown an unsung man" in Bargain...

don't you ever feel bad for that unsung man?

To be senselessly murdered by Pete Townshend because he's trying to prove something to God???

AND be unsung!? smh

EDIT: obviously Daltry is singing it but Pete wrote it so he has to answer for it

I swear at best it's a 50/50 coin flip every time whether I get someone who can insert the needle with virtually no pain and no issues or someone who just jabs me like they're playing pin the tail on the donkey and then I end up with my arm looking like this...

is it bad training? lack of experience? laziness? their mood that day? I really want to know

 https://www.cancer.gov/news-events/cancer-currents-blog/2015/antioxidants-metastasis

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4094884/

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24241129/

This article kind of had me freaked out-it suggests at the end the people with cancer or cancer risk should not be taking antioxidant supplements.
I’m 48 and have had 5 basal cell skin cancers show up in the last 4 years…

I’ve also been taking 800mg Quercetin (w/bromelain) a day for 3 years, with breaks, and I consume a tablespoon of olive oil and 2 cups of decaf coffee a day… but the information on how to even quantify what would be a problematic dose of antioxidants isn’t just scant, it’s nonexistent. Nevertheless I tried to do the deepest dive I could on this and I’m curious what anyone else knows.

It occurred to me that that article is 11 years old and considering how popular and available supplements are, I find it hard to believe that if this was a real concern we wouldn’t have more science on it by now and possibly even warnings on the packaging

Quercetin itself as many know, has been shown in over two dozen studies (mostly in vivo) to have cancer protective and cancer eradicating properties.

However Quercetin also has a very poor bioavailability, and considering I also have SIBO, it’s very likely that a relatively small percentage of the dose I’m taking is even reaching my bloodstream.

Which just brings us back to the initial conundrum: no one seems to know or has ever studied what a dangerous level of antioxidants would be and how that level would be measured

It’s also worth noting- I realize antioxidant is a broad term and not all polyphenols are the same and this shit can get pretty complicated
