Why do Muslim men refuse to yield when walking towards another non-Muslim man on the same path or sidewalk?

I'm not Muslim, but live in an area of the US with a growing Muslim population and I'd like to better understand this. I've stopped moving aside, and I'm now presented with a number of various responses ranging from the other person just moving at the last moment, to having them stop and stare at me. It's admittedly annoying, but I'm trying to understand any cultural significance. Just male dominance, or something else more nefarious? For the record, I'm a white, Christian American of European ancestry.

Best road-tripper ever?

I've owned a lot of vehicles over the years. I think I can say with confidence that this is the best for road trips. Even over the 2022 Wilderness I just traded in for this one. While I'd have been a bit more daring off road with the Wilderness, the Limited XT didn't break a sweat on the light off roading I needed to use to access hiking and fishing spots, and it definitely has the Wilderness beat on the 1,200 miles of highway from Chicago to Colorado and back. I couldn't believe how effortlessly it handled climbing steep mountain grades.

From a volunteer pepper plant I chose to let grow.

Can't say I've seen this before, but after much anticipation while I waited to see what kind of peppers it was going to give me, she did not disappoint.

Cabin rattle on new 2026?

It's not constant, and it's not loud, but once picked up, it's really annoying. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere around the driver window or rear driver side passenger window. Sounds almost like a subtle knock, as of one of the windows is slightly loose, but there's no vibration and I can't make it stop when I apply pressure to various parts of the windows/doors.

Anyone else find this? Or just me?

I have a few pothos around my house. One pot is scarce. Can I plant cuttings directly into the soil or do I need to root them first?

[WTB] Prada infusion D'Iris (bottle)

Hoping to get my hands on a new or partial bottle of this. I may have a couple of trade options available, but prefer to purchase.

Anyone else with a '26 Outback who cannot get the remote start to work consistently?

Absolutely frustrating especially when it's over 100° in the middle of a heatwave. The 2022 Wilderness I traded in had zero problems. I'm using this in all the same places, so I know it's not a coverage issue. It fails at least 9 or of 10 times. I just got transferred around to 5 different people at Subaru support. No idea what the problem is.

Interesting take...

...looks badass

I wouldn't do it, but it does look badass. And it almost looks like a wagon again!

Tinted front windows and pillar delete planned for tomorrow.

I just traded my '22 Wilderness for a '26 Limited XT and absolutely love it.

I think it looks so much better after wrapping that silly pillar and tinting the front windows. Thoughts? I have an appointment for tomorrow morning to get this done.

Someone talk me down. It's time to trade and I'm considering a Mazda CX50 Meridian or CX70...

Anyone have experience with either of these? Thoughts? I'm considering a new Wilderness too, but I just can't love the body refresh. I'm still playing to drive one, bit I'm feeling very indecisive. Help?

Hello! I'm considering trading my Subaru Outback Wilderness for a Meridian Turbo

Has anyone here owned the Outback Wilderness? I'd love some feedback. What do you miss from the Subaru? Are you glad you made the switch?

Grip Module for Glock 43

I'm about to purchase a grip module from Grit Grips for my g43. It's a striped down frame that I'm moving all the internals into from my g43. Because it's serialized I need to transfer through an FFL. it's only $70 and Range USA wants $100 for the transfer. They're making it not worth the purchase if I'm paying more for the transfer than the grip itself. Kicker is I'm a member and I pay them $40 per month. If I had their next level membership I'd get 1 free transfer per month. Any way around this?

Brake job?

I'm curious how many of you have done your own brakes. I'm in need on new brakes, according to my oil change place, even though I only have 25k miles on my '22. But it's mostly all stop and go local rides, so I guess it makes sense. I changed my brakes on my Jeep before I got my Outback. I enjoy doing work on my own if I have the time, and I do have the time.

Just wondering if it's just as straightforward as I'm thinking, or if anything was unexpected. Also, not sure if I'm going to affect my factory and extended warranty by doing this. Appreciate any feedback.

What can I do with my semi-finished basement? See details...

I used AI to put the ceiling and floor in. - I need this to be a multipurpose room. It's approximately 1000 square feet. I need to build some wardrobe closets, a secondary dining/social area, and a gaming area for my kids with mounted TV and seating area. I just keep hitting an interior design brick wall. I'll define the project and then not start because I want to make yet another modification. Suggestions? I want to keep it bright as well. For a basement, I have a lot of windows and don't want to lose the bright, warm feel of the space.

Help identifying this SW Michigan find?

Found in southwest Michigan at a Lake Michigan beach. My first thought and hope was mastodon tooth, but I'm pretty sure it's not. I'm thinking some kind of fossilized vertebrae or other bone, as it seems to be very porous. Definitely fossilized, as it's heavier than bone and has calcite deposits.
