Hey, so my boyfriend and I are in town and we wanted to try some fried chicken (not sandwiches) proper fried chicken with some coleslaw, french fries and some fresh bun and some soda.
Is the KFC, Popeyes, Jollibee chains here any good? or if you know any boutique shops or stand alone restaurants please share with me! thankyou sm

Question: Searching for the richest, creamiest most desi chicken recipe.

hello everyone. im new to the sub. i discovered the sub to ask this specific question. im all of a sudden craving for a chicken curry but i want the base to be creamy and oily. yellow color base. spicy but not overpowering. nutty and creamy taste a hint or sweetness.
i tried searching for a recipe on insta and i cant seem to understand what the curry tastes like. i thought if i ask here i might get some suggestions.
i wanna have this curry with a nice flaky soft doughy parantha. id also like to pair it with kerala porotta, idiyappam and appam. my fav carbs.
i have some chicken in the fridge and thinking about cooking something nice for breakfast tomorrow. hopefully i get some good suggestions <3

craving fried chicken. need all the best tips and tricks!

hey everyone!
ive been craving some real good’ol american style juicy fried chicken with some coleslaw and french fries and a crisp coke and a soft bun!
i live in liverpool and there’s quite literally no good spots here so i think im going to have to just cook it. ive made fried chicken in the past and it’s mostly been alright but so many times the chicken is undercooked in the inside. i dont have a thermometer so idk how to make sure the chicken’s fully cooked but not to the point it’s over cooked and dried out all it’s juicy moisture and fat.
it’s overwhelming to decide on a recipe from the plethora of recipes online. im trying to narrow down a couple and merge all the recipes together and sort of wing it.
if you have or know any recipes or tips, info, hacks, useful info pls lmk! i would really appreciate it.

Best American Fried Chicken in Liverpool

Hi ya’ll
Im craving some good’ol American style broasted fried chicken with some nice french fries, coleslaw and a bun!
I know KFC, Popeye and Jollibee’s are the classic fast food chains in the city. Ive never found a conclusive answer to that question. If I were to order from one of these places, which one is my best bet?
Or if you have any suggestions - absolutely anything! bars, hotels, boutique cafes, chains - im down to going and picking up if i have to.
but i need to know where i can get some juicy fried or at best grilled (pref halal its fine if its not too) chicken.
thanks <3

edit: so many people saying nashvile - their online menu doesn’t seem to have fried chicken though? am i looking at the wrong menu? they only have fried chicken sandwiches and tenders

Semi-fit woman - needs help with fitness

The pictures attached would be the goal! Or some versiom of it. I don’t want like 6 pack abs or anything, but Id like a fit tummy even when I sit or bend etc

Im 5’5, 50 kg, South Asian.
I have always been on the leaner side I guess. I have been heavy (64 kg being my heaviest weight)
Now I look visibly skinny
I work out occasionally. Ive hit the gym continuously for about 3 months with visible changes.
I live alone now and not at home. So following a strict diet is a bit hard to manage.
Overall I don’t really have much problem with the way I look. But the thing I can’t seem to make peace with is my bshaped tummy or tummy with a little pouch. The lower abdomen is chubby. and when I sit down, my tummy looks like I am fat. My arms, lege and waist are all thin. My measurements:
32 - Chest
23 - waist
34 - Hips

I can’t diet or cut calories anymore because I already eat very little. My everyday calorie intake is probably somewhere between 1200-1600 calories depending on the day. and what i eat is mostly protein and carbs. I don’t eat sweets or candies. I do snack a bit of crisps and I love fast food unfortunately lol

On most reddit subs people are advising people with similar issues to just build muscle and that the puppy fat around the mid-section and here and there will shed with muscle and that thats the only way considering how low my weight already is. As a south asian i think i am biologically bound to store fat in my midsection.

Also - there’s no gym near where I stay. the nearest gym is a 20 min walk and then a 20 min bus ride away. 40 min of commute one way to the gym. which feels like a bit much to me. I have 2.5, 3.5 and 5 kg dumbells and a walkpad at home. I do like 10 pushups and some stretching daily that’s about it.

The pictures attached would be the goal! Or some versiom of it. I don’t want like 6 pack abs or anything, but Id like a fit tummy even when I sit or bend etc

Gimme your best advice <3

Sefton park’s fallen angel tree

idk if this particular tree that looks like it’s fallen and is crawling into the water already has a name? but in my opinion it is the prettiest tree in the park. so much character and endless possibilities for the mind to make up imaginary stories. it genuinely looks like a creature.
and the park itself is so picturesque! ahh i love sefton haha

The scale of St Paul’s Cathedral…

The scale of St Paul’s Cathedral is easy to miss until someone sits beneath it. Oh to casually sit with your favourite person on the steps of St Paul’s cathedral while the rest of the city rushes by.

the first puff on a brand new day is the best feeling ever

By the end of the night the high becomes indistinguishable tbh and the head weight is too much and you just become this high mush lol
but the first few puffs of a new joint on a new day - you can feel yourself become high. it’s almost tangible. slowly you start smiling and then your eyes start becoming heavy… god im so excited hahah
happy tuesday <3

The Bar with the best view? St.Paul at Sunset 🌅

We were having drinks at one of the bars in this street. We didn’t realize the view until we stepped out for a smoke and immediately was in awe. Just how beautiful does this view look. I will always be in love with London

People who get financial aid and help from their parents shouldn't be looked down upon by self made people

im 26 and im trying to find a job and it's hard. my parents help me financially to pay my rent as I am living abroad. I am in the process of starting something of my own to just bring in any kind of income at all because I just wanna stop asking for money or receiving help from my parents.

having said that, i dont understand why we villainize this whole situation of parents helping their own kids out? i have seen so many posts and people saying "if your parents helped u pay for your college and rent etc i dont wanna hear anything from you" like I get it if you did it on your own - amazing! but I'm not stealing or borrowing money from fucking strangers? it's my PARENTS?

I dont have kids but i imagine if i did i'd help them out till the day i die. i have even told my parents that im really fucking sorry for still depending on you financially, and they told me it's their honor to look after me and they wanna do it as long as they can. and id assume most parents who are financially capable would want to help their own children out if they are struggling, so then why tf are we out here making people feel bad for figuring it out with whatever help they can get?

I can't help but feel there is a sense of resentment or even envy from people who made it on their own? and im sure id the same people had an option to get help they would? but your struggle doesn't give you the right to belittle someone else's journey.

2026 Best Pizza in Liverpool

Ik pizza related questions are plentiful in this sub but most of them are atleast a couple of years old - or atleast the ones I have read. im trying to order a nice pizza for my boyfriend and i for the argentina vs egypt which is happening in 30 mins!
so far from what ive read the following are the good pizza places:

  1. Rudy’s
  2. Tops?
  3. Dominos
  4. American Pizza Slice

I am not a big fan of thin crust pizzas for delivery cuz they tend to become so floppy by the time it reaches home.

What do you think is the current best pizza in town - soft and juicy pan pizza with some good side options (if condiments are good + points)

Pizza Express looks really tempting online but the reviews on reddit are sooo bad, almost like it’s banned from ever having the spotlight lmao.

I live near Anfield and I’d love to hear options that’s available on UberEats and/or Deliveroo!
Thanks a mil <3

edit: just read on here that Casa Italia is great! whats the verdict on Casa Italia’s pizza yall?

edit 2: CASA ITALIA IS BANGER! def recommend. posted picture and review in comments <3
thanks everyone for the suggestions ive saved them all

Fever feels kinda nice

Idk, I just think lying in bed with fever is the coziest thing ever. Some of my best naps were fever naps. Fever causes your muscles to relax in a way they normally don't. It raises you body temperature making the environment feel cooler by comparison and that feels great under the blanket. I've also associated the feeling of fever with skipping school/work and eating comfort food which definitely enhances the feeling.

Also a second unpopular opinion: I like fever dreams. I like liminal spaces, horror and dream analysis, so they're right up my alley.
