A hadith about Prohibition of Despising Muslims from Riyad Al Salihin

Jundub bin 'Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Once someone said: 'By Allah! Allah will not forgive such and such (a person).' Thereupon Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, said: 'Who is he who takes an oath in My Name that I will not grant pardon to so-and-so? I have granted pardon to so-and-so and rendered your good deeds fruitless."'

[Muslim].

What's your favourite activity to do when you need to unplug?

I'll try to make it brief inshallah.

I feel I'm on the edge of burnout because I made the mistake of turning my hobby to a side gig and now it feels like an obligation rather than something I genuinely enjoy doing.

Did anyone else experience this?

I'm curious to know what do you all do to unplug your brain from daily activities and working hard in attending the dorous?

Google two seconds after finding out the user is a woman

Translation of those questions :

- Summarize the conditions for a woman’s marriage without a guardian in Islam.

- Compile a comprehensive list of the qualities of a righteous wife in "contemporary contexts".

- Write a detailed analysis (they probably meant dreams tafseer here) of seeing one's husband with another woman in a dream.

ps: This showed up after I searched for the marriage story of the prophet peace be upon him and Safia may Allah be pleased with her.

(For those of you who are interested those Ahadith were about the ease of Islam and how its orders are compatible with human nature.)

Ahadith like these two are a proof that there's no religion that reaches Islam's understanding of human nature

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The religion (of Islam) is easy, and whoever makes the religion a rigour, it will overpower him. So, follow a middle course (in worship); if you can't do this, do something near to it and give glad tidings and seek help (of Allah) at morn and at dusk and some part of night".

[Al-Bukhari].

Is anyone else getting spammed with stuff like this on their YouTube/Facebook feed?

I was wondering if anyone else is annoyed by how often they get posts like these on their feed. I hate Facebook but I need to go in there for my small business to find trends and stuff that are selling ...

I've opted out from receiving political posts' suggestion just to test what would happen and nothing changed. I keep getting these posts where hijabis are getting discriminated or treated badly on video.

I reported the post in the picture attached (this is from Youtube) twice today so that it gets taken off my sight and was still shown to me AGAIN after a while.

Is the algorithm doing this to you too?

edit: corrected a word + added photo's source

A response for the brother who posted a thread that was stressing on a daily basis about kufr

The brother removed the thread so my comment couldn't go through. This is the comment. Inshalah it helps a bit with the doubts:

_____________________________________________

Are you a Muslim? According to what you said in this thread and the definition of what a Muslim is according to Sharia then you're a Muslim. You witness that there's no one worthy of worship except for Allah سبحانه و تعالى and that Mohamed صل الله عليه و سلم is his messenger and you fulfill all of pillars of Islam أركان الإسلام.

You're a Muslim.

Does a Muslim have to be sinless? No and it's impossible.

Translation: Anas (RAA) narrated that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: “All the sons of Adam are sinners, but the best of sinners are those who repent often.”

And repenting doesn't mean you're not prone to doing it again.

There's a very beautiful hadith qudusi about this:

Translation: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: 'O son of adam, I forgive you as long as you pray to Me and hope for My forgiveness, whatever sins you have committed. O son of 'Adam, I do not care if your sins reach the height of the heaven, then you ask for my forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of 'Adam, if you come to Me with an earth load of sins, and meet Me associating nothing to Me, I would match it with an earthload of forgiveness."'

Is it normal to stop studying ilm or not as much as you used to? COMPLETELY normal and happens to the best of us and it's normal because we believe that iman level goes up and down. It's perfectly normal to not have the same energy for ilm everyday. The number one way of increasing it is by listening to quran, reading it, thinking about how accurate and how it's full of miracles.

Translation: The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely

There's this lecture I recommend that helped me a lot in combating perfectionism. It's in Arabic but I think I've seen AI tools that help translate from YouTube or at least resume) : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K2LhLD3ZBYQ&t=4s&ra=m

As for worrying about sins. Making Dua with سيد الإستغفار. The meanings in it are very beneficial inshalah.: Admitting that we as humans are weak but at the same time saying that we're still trying to keep the promise as best as we can "خلقتني و أنا عبدك و انا على عهدك و وعدك ما استطعت".

End of comment.

ps: Sorry if there are any mistakes in meaning/conjugating. English is not my first language.

How to set up shipping with two different options?

I don't have a lot of experience in this so please bear with me.

I have an item that has two different variations :

- variation 1: is a simple item I can ship as a flat.

-variation 2: same as the first but with a wooden item added (obv can't be a flat).

and here's where it gets complicate: I want the shipping to be free ONLY if they choose the non express shipping option.
Is this possible?

TIA!

Does having a bad first year on ETSY means the shop is screwed?

I created a shop a year ago and because of many many reasons (some I noticed and A LOT I'm still learning about) I couldn't get sales and I'm still making effort to make it work but sometimes I get discouraged because all successful shops I know were successful from the get go.

Did anyone here saw success in their shop after a disastrous first year?

Does having a bad first year on ETSY means the shop is screwed?

I created a shop a year ago and because of many many reasons (some I noticed and A LOT I'm still learning about) I couldn't get enough sales (only 10 and about 140 item favorites for some reason).
Did anyone here started seeing traction in their shop after big failures like this?

Do people actually buy expensive patterns?

I do embroidery and I'm pretty skilled at this technique called thread painting and I want to make patterns of it.

There are 3 issues I'm thinking about:

-It takes waaaay too long to make a pattern.

- I'm afraid that when people see that they would think they can't do it.

- AI patterns taking over embroidery.

I'm in many embroidery groups on fb and I see most people using the cheapest kits.

Do people buy expensive patterns? especially in this economy (I'm in the US) when I say expensive digital patter I mean above 15$.

Disclaimer: the piece in the picture is not mine.

Limits on what we can list

I stumbled upon this print (which I kinda liked) and was thinking: are we allowed to list things like this? etsy won't falsely flag it as promoting self harm?

Help me draw on this fabric using cricut maker 4

I want to draw on this fabric called kona cotton but I'm struggling to get shapes drawn accurately.

I'm using a cricut maker 4.

I tried to test it against muslin cotton on all settings I could think of and all types of mats I have but this kona does horribly in all of them and can't draw a simple small circle. Is it a setting option? Did anyone here tried to draw on a fabric that they could easily sew on later? Because the muslin is lovely but its holes are very tight for me to sew on. (yes I tried the smallest needle)

Best variegated floss?

Which brand makes variegated floss with the smoothest transition between colors? I've tried DMC's variegated, color variations and coloris collections but the colors change abruptly. 😞

I'm trying to make a piece that has thick lettering and I want the transition to be seamless.
