Over the years I've used my Steam Deck, I've had one very consistent frustration with it: the keyboard. It's always been buggy, but recently it's been even worse.

# Issues:

1. Sometimes, when pulling up the keyboard with Steam + X, the keyboard does not show up. When opening the Steam menu, it will pop up behind the other UI menus, but is inaccessible and disappears upon going back into the game. The only way to fix it I've found is to go to the home screen, put the Deck into sleep mode, power it back on, wait a second after the wake animation, and then go back into the game and open the keyboard.

2. Often, when in-game, the keyboard is laggy as fuck when using both trackpads to type. This caused weird typing issues too, where it will duplicate letters I'm typing or not register a click at all.

3. Honestly the most annoying out of all of these, sometimes when opening the keyboard it takes a second for the little trackpad cursors to show up instead of the typical mouse, making me wait 1–5 seconds before typing anything.

Does anyone else have these issues, or a way to fix them?

Honorable mention to Fallen to Paradise

The fact that it has almost exclusively female MCs is part of what I love the most about OI, but what are some good female-oriented recs that have a male protagonist?

Just peak with respect to the quality of the plot, storytelling, art, etc.

Like, it looks fantastic, but I'm wondering where it comes from.

I'm struggling with 6AG, mostly because of the Badeline fight. Any tips on how to get through it, or resources/guides pertaining to that section?

*SO* many MLs are walking red flags disguised as green ones, constantly abusing those around them and the FL or neglecting their children or a million other things.

But Hades is the exact opposite of that. He's kind of an arrogant prick, but fundamentally he's working for the happiness of his family and the people around him. He puts up an arrogant front—well, to be fair, it's not really a front but you get what I'm saying—but is willing to get real and listen to others when it matters. It's really charming.

Also, it's not often that you can say a black-haired, red-eyed male lead had a unique design, but Hades' facial structure, expressions, and mannerisms give him a really interesting flair that makes him stand out amongst the other Dukes of the North/Tyrant Princes.

I also love anything Otome Isekai-adjecent, but have seen pretty much everything in the genre already (not on my list because it's my guilty pleasure :/)

I was so stoked when I first saw the trailer for it, but the more and more I actually use it, I'm getting the sinking feeling that it's AI. It didn't seem like it as much from the trailer, but it just feels really uncoordinated.

First off, there are a lot of customization settings, which is good, but they almost feel like an LLM just decided to make every variable a slider or toggle? It's not entirely clear what each one does. The UI is great on any one page, but is just differently designed on different pages for some reason, and the mod is just unstable overall.

I also noticed, in the Grass Blades settings, there's a toggle for tapered or segmented grass, which doesn't appear to do anything. I'd assume it's just broken, but actually, the Grassier Grass mod happens to have the same toggle and very similar generated grass, almost as if the dev just sloppified the Grassier Grass mod's code. Again, I don't know for sure if this is the case, but it's just one factor in a large pile of them that are making me worry.

It's closed source too. There's only one GitHub commit from 5 months ago, and it's from 5 months ago for version 1.

The last thing that makes me suspicious is the development speed and number of developers. The way that tapeQ talks about it, it sounds like they made it by themselves. The last update, when it only really had rim lighting, removed shadows, and bloom, was only like two months ago. How does a single dev implement ALL of this in two months? It's possible, but it feels wrong.

I don't know, it's all just a little fishy and I have a bad feeling about it. It's too bad, because I was so excited about this mod too. I don't want to do witch hunt or anything, but I can't shake the feeling that something's off. I truly want to believe it's not vibecoded, and I don't want to make any firm accusations until we get concrete evidence.

I've been away from the game for about a year and want to get back into it, and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for some modded maps to try as I get back into the swing of things.

It's been a long time, so I'm going to be really rusty. Last time I played I was trying to beat my first GM map, but it took me many hours to get through just a few rooms, so I definitely wasn't anywhere above expert level skill-wise.

Does anyone have any recommendations for fun maps?

I'm so sad, I was SO immersed in this one and suddenly there isn't any more. Why is it always the best ones that I forget to check? :<

I was wondering if anyone had any "cinderella story" or other trauma recovery recs.
