Regarding GPA

Hey everyone, I'm a Grade 12 student from Nepal finishing my NEB board exams. Planning to apply for Stipendium Hungaricum 2027 for a Bachelor's in Robotics/Mechatronics Engineering.

My GPA is around 3.10 out of 4.0 — but important context: on Nepal's NEB grading system, the minimum passing grade is 1.6, so 3.10 is solidly above average, not a low score.

A few things I have on my profile outside academics:

- Google Cloud Legend (80+ badges, 93k+ points)

- Built multiple web projects including a Three.js 3D solar system

- Coursera certifications

- Scout volunteering certificates

My questions:

  1. Does SH committee actually look hard at GPA or is the motivation letter + profile more important?

  2. Has anyone with a similar GPA from a South/Southeast Asian country gotten accepted?

  3. For Nepal specifically — does anyone know how competitive the quota is?

Any insight from people who've been through the process would really help. Thanks
