Goku's ability to copy and adapt to abilities is part of what makes him such an amazing character & martial artist

People always see Goku as just someone who's really capable of martial arts that knows an extreme amount of techniques, even considered a genius, but something that has been a valuable trait of his since early on (as early as Chapter 15 as I recall) is how he can overcome any obstacle.

He learned Kamehameha, which took Roshi the greatest martial artists in the world *by far* 50 years to create and master, when he was like 12 without any knowledge of ki. And throughout all the Budokai Tenkaichi tournaments, he's always overcome what he was capable of prior to going into a battle by learning his opponents moves or just copying it.

It's just such a cool ability that he has where he can learn anything combat related as long as he sees it himself.

Who possesses higher Battle IQ, Goku or Gojo?

Goku (DBS) or Gojo (by Shinjuku. Here are just *some* feats listed off from VSBattles (since im lazy lol):

Gojo

  • He learned Simple Domain through his genius, and learned how to change the conditions of his Domain on the fly, being able to increase and decrease its size, and he immediately understood the principle of Domain Amplification after seeing it once.

  • During his bout against Jogo, Hanami, Choso, and Mahito, he was shown to be capable of conceiving multiple battle strategies while fighting at blinding speeds, protecting civilians, and keeping property damage to a minimum, all while dodging and evading the attacks of the four curses.

  • During his battle with Sukuna, Satoru proved superior in hand-to-hand combat and showcased great tactical intellect, consistently prevailing every time his opponent pressured him, making the most of limited attack options to slow Mahoraga's adaptation, thus keeping the King of Curses on the backfoot during the latter half of their fight. He was hailed by Sukuna as magnificent not only for his power but also his skill and mastery, with the King of Curses stating "he'll never forget him for as long as he lives."

  • During his bout against Jogo, Hanami, Choso, and Mahito, he was shown to be capable of conceiving multiple battle strategies while fighting at blinding speeds, protecting civilians, and keeping property damage to a minimum, all while dodging and evading the attacks of the four curses.

    • He can do everything and anything he attempts, due to his Six Eyes working akin to a supercomputer, and is able to comprehend things beyond a sorcerer's understanding (i.e. the ability to distinguish techniques with 6E alone before its even used)
  • And his most impressive feat, but the capabilities he had to match up on a 1v3, against 3 users that could use RCT, with an adapting demon who learned how to use ranged attacks whilst having already countered his two major abilities. Comfortably beating H2H the greatest sorcerer to ever live who has thousands of years of knowledge, then utilized Blue to take one out, and set it up as a collision attack with Red to wipe out the 2 summons, making it a 1v1 with him having the health advantage.

Goku

  • As a child, he was able to beat martial artists on such a level as Grandpa Gohan, who was stated to be an unparalleled master in all martial arts, with martial arts in Dragon Ball exceeding real life towards Dan/Level 30 where there is only 10.
  • In his battle with Master Roshi, was able to copy and improve upon a technique on sight, later in that same battle once faced against the Sui-Ken, a martial art he couldn't copy because he had never experienced inebriation, Goku generated and created his own style known as the "Crazy Fist" in response to perfectly counter it off the top of his head, with these styles even specifically noted to be a variation of Kenpo. He also, as a kid with no knowledge of ki learned how to do the Kamehameha first try.
  • He is a genius in combat and is capable of devising new applications of his techniques on the fly, such as using Kamehameha with his feet, and Goku's training with King Kai was directly noted to be worth thousands of years of his prior accomplishments, experience, and skill
  • He as able to go toe to toe with Cell, a being created by the genius scientist Dr. Gero to be the ultimate warrior, taking the DNA and footage of every fighter on Earth and on Namek, copying their techniques, their mannerisms, and their skills to create him, including Goku himself, also having knowledge on how he approaches battle as well, down to real-time strategy. Cell was even noted by others to perfect the martial arts and techniques of those who comprised him such as Tien's Multiform Technique, removing their flaws, and yet Goku was able to face four copies of Cell whilst their physical ability was identical off of his own raw battle intelligence and skill.
  • Capable of analyzing and copying Beerus' fighting style, allowing him to match Beerus' attacks and cancel out the shockwaves that threatened the universe.
  • Was able to beat Hit's timeskip, a technique of 0.1 seconds, said to have been unparalleled and undefeatable for thousands of years, WHILE Hit was actively improving it. He also learned how to revive himself from Hit's attack with a preemptive ki blast.

Naturally these are kinda just the baseline of things, but Gojo has Six Eyes that are capable of understanding sorcery (jujutsu & curses in general) and an understanding far beyond even GREAT sorcerers, without even seeing it. He is a genius amongst geniuses in the series, with only a pinchful of characters smarter than him.

And Goku has Saiyan's innate ability to adapt and overcome in-midst of battle, with simply the ability to understand everything at a rapid rate & zenkai boosts existing to overcome insurmountable walls.

What is your favorite 1v2 fight in DB?

We all know the more famous ones such as Goku & Piccolo vs Raditz, Goku & Vegeta vs Buuhan and so on, but one I find somewhat interesting and underrated is Vegeta vs Frost/Magetta.

It was incredibly short but seeing a strategic 1v2 in DB, where Magetta was used as the shield and Frost as the sword was pretty damn neat. Just a small fun fight with a cool aftermath of Vegeta acknowledging Roshi as someone legitmately strong.

Are there any real differences between 'good' ki and 'evil' ki?

According to the wiki:

Normal ki (通常の気 Tsūjō no Ki): A type of ki that is used by anyone that holds no evil intentions. The appearance of this type of ki is usually a white aura around the user.

Evil ki (邪悪な気, 悪の気, 邪気 Ja'akuna Ki, Aku no Ki, Jaki): A particular type of ki that is manifested by beings with evil hearts. Usually, the villains have this type of ki. This nature of ki can be changed if the user holds no evil intentions. The appearance of this type of ki is usually a purple or pink aura around the user, like Vegeta (during the Vegeta & Namek arcs) and Frieza.

The only notable thing the differentiates the two is that in the Buu saga, Babidi needed good ki to ressurect Buu as evil ki was too corrupt and not pure.

However, outside of that nothing is really ever talked about regarding good and evil ki, and it's kind of washed away with the introduction of god ki in Super. So is there a real difference between the two outside of how they look?
