+7ft sandbar shark

Caught a 7-8ft sandbar shark in 160ft of water. Pretty sure it was the same shark that was taxing us hard. Hit the jig on the 1st pitch, hooked perfectly in the scissors. Heavy fight for 15 minutes but decided to cut line after the 3rd time I had it by the boat.

I was very impressed how well my basic spj outfit handled. Just let the reel do the work, not the rod. Honestly I didn't have many options.

Rapala Magnum 26 repaint advice

My neighbor would like me to repaint this lure to his favorite color scheme. The rivets holding the lip show some corrosion. Should I remove the lip and attach afterwards? Is the lip glued or epoxied in?

Tarpon from the beach question

Starting late last summer I've been trying to catch a tarpon from the beach at https://maps.app.goo.gl/Jos334KRCCpjVbyy9 . It is a marginal area for tarpon due to no hard structure. However its 2 minutes from home and I am now seeing them regularly on the right tide and time. 50% of the time they are out of casting distance.

I am using a 12ft 2-4oz rod with Twinpower 10000, PE3 mainline to 18' PE6 casting leader and 80lb Varivas mono leader. Pic is what was in the bag this morning. Some of them are painted by me. I do like sinking pencils for their casting distance and ability to work the water column.

My question is what retrieves with which lures would you use if the tarpon are spread out and the visibility is 0-4ft? The tarpon are in the 30-60pd range.

I'm aiming for current seams as that is where I'm seeing them but also doing a lot of blind casting. I do have quite a few other lures.

Glitter Pumps- what size glitter?

Hi! I would like to know what size glitter is used in dry glitter pumps? This is not for decorating cakes, but for fishing lures. I'm looking for alternative ways to apply metallic flakes without spending $$$ on a dedicated dry flake gun, and not making a huge mess.
