Does anyone else really love merch that exists in-universe?
Sorry the photos kinda bad.

Sorry the photos kinda bad.
I have a baby dragon figurine that's really cute, so I decided to draw her (it's the Schliech baby rainbow dragon, for those curious). It was good practice because I don't have many feathery or furry dragon OCs. Her name is Rose. Does she count as an OC if I named her and came up with her personality and lore, but I didn't design her?
Day 6 features my fursona Rainstorm and her hoard of plushies, all of which are real stuffed animals I own. I really love how this one turned out, it's so cute and colorful.
Day 7 is a character I've actually never drawn the full body of, but I've had the idea for quite a while. They are known only as The God Of The Stars. They are broken into pieces, so the night sky behind them shows between their cracks, and they seem to glow from within. I'm also incredibly happy with this drawing, especially with how I used negative space, even though it has plenty of flaws. I don't regret staying up late to finish it.
I totally didn't write number 4 by accident and then scribble over it. I'll do the coloring on this one tomorrow because it's late and I have a headache. Even though it's not finished, I'm so in love with how the pose turned out. The characters pictured are Ivy and Queen Gloria, who you may recognize from day 2. Despite how it looks, according to lore, Ivy actually did not win this fight, and this is the closest she ever came to Killing Gloria or taking the throne.
On a different note, I got a new set of black gel pens and OH MY GOSH they are so much smoother to draw with than the crappy ballpoints I was using. Good art supplies can't make you good at art, but they can certainly make your life easier.
These are my OCs, Skye and Silverpaw. Wouldn't you love to have a huge pair of wings to use as a blanket?
This was a hard prompt, and I'm not entirely sure my drawing matches it. The character pictured is Queen Gloria, one of my OCs. I'm already excited for day 3. That looks like a fun one to draw.
I finally finished my drawing at 10:40, but it still counts, at least. The character pictured is my OC, Evergreen. I'm going to try to do a drawing for every day, even though I'm not good at sticking to that type of goal. Feel free to shame me if I miss a day, it might help.
This is a book I read years ago and forgot most of what happened in it, so I would like to reread it, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Here's what I do remember: it was a children's chapter book, set in the modern world, and the main character was a female dragon. I'm pretty sure this dragon had a pet human who died, and then she got a new pet human that was a young girl that was related to the other one. I also think the dragon cried pearls for some reason? Does anyone know what book this is?
I'm making a dragon fursuit (specifically a Rainwing from Wings of Fire) and I'm planning on using these wings I found on Amazon, but replacing the fabric with my own. The fabric is slightly striped, so I'm wondering if you think the stripes would look better horizontal or vertical.
I love how this turned out! It's one of my most realistic and my favorite miniatures yet!
I decided to challenge myself and draw my oc from different angles. The first one turned out okay, but I don't like the shading, especially on the wings, and how the legs looked. The second one turned out better, and I even got carried away and added a background. The third drawing I did in paint pens a while later, but I included it so you could see what my oc looks like from a normal angle. My oc is named Skye btw. I'm writing a book about her.
The first one is a puppet, so you can open and close the mouth. It probably came from a dentist office or something. It also will probably haunt my dreams. The second one is a unicorn slipper mounted on a wooden plaque. I have questions.
I think I bought all six of these just this year and last year. It's okay though because I'm only spending like $5 on each basically new plushie that would cost at least $30 in a toy store. You gotta buy what brings you joy, even if it's silly.
I am very happy. My hoard of dragon related items is always growing.
Picture this scenario: two women are on a road trip and they both really need to pee, so they stop at a gas station. It has two identical bathrooms, each only big enough for one person. However, only one woman can use the bathroom, and the other is forced to wait, simply because one bathroom has a sign on the door that says men. It's a very common situation, for both men and women, that could easily be solved by simply making both bathrooms accessable to all genders. It would also make things easier for trans people, especially non binary people, and parents with children of a different gender. There is literally no reason to gender them. There is no difference between them, except in the rare case one contains a urinal, which could easily be installed in both, or not used at all. To be clear, I understand why gendered bathrooms as a whole exist for privacy and safety reasons, and some larger societal changes need to be made before they are eliminated entirely, but in this case they are just plain stupid.
Sorry the photo is so bad. They loved seeing everything out the window and dangling from my backpack. I got to walk through a beautiful rainforest, and I really felt like I was a Rainwing.
There is a local pride festival in my area, nothing too huge, just a bunch of vendor booths and food trucks. In previous years, I have seen lots of people wearing furry masks, and at least one wearing a fursuit head, so I was thinking of wearing mine. This will be my first time ever wearing it in public, and I am an incredibly shy person and am terrible at talking to people, so naturally I'm nervous about it. Maybe being anonymous will make me more confident though?
My other concern is the heat, because it's summer and I live in Colorado. My fursuit currently consists of a dinomask with a fleece neck, fleece paws, and a large fleece tail. I would guess that makes it less hot and more breathable than a normal fursuit, but still.
I want to try being more confident, and finally be able to wear this thing I have worked on for so long. So? Should I go for it? Update: I did it and had a lot of fun and I got a lot of compliments! It was insanely hot though, so I wasn't able to wear my fursuit for the whole time I was there. It was so hot that I was worried the hot glue on the mask would melt. Thanks for encouraging me to go for it!
I've been working on this off and on for a couple months and I'm so happy with how it turned out! I'm especially proud of my hidden zipper in the back. I don't like there's a bit of a weird lump in the back because I wear my hair in a ponytail, but I guess that can't be helped. My fursona is a Rainwing from Wings of Fire, so I'm planning on adding ears and a ruff next, which will hopefully make it look less bald from the side. I used 2 different patterns (last two slides) and I think it actually worked pretty well, especially considering that I used fleece instead of fur like the patterns intended.
It looks so silly. Hopefully it'll look better once it's attached? Still, given that I combined two different patterns and sewed a zipper for the first time, I think I did pretty good.
That's all I have to say.
