Comparing student accommodation options in Edinburgh, United Kingdom — what I wish I'd known before choosing It's iQ Fountainbridge on 114 Dundee Street

Looked at several options before landing on It's iQ Fountainbridge on 114 Dundee Street in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Sharing the comparison since most listing sites don't show you the real walk times or the actual room size in person.
If you're choosing between places in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, drop the names and I'll tell you what I know.

I've toured/lived in student accommodation across multiple cities (Berlin, Germany most recently) — AMA about finding student housing abroad

Been documenting different student accommodation setups across cities this year. Figured I'd open this up since I get the same questions over and over in DMs.
Ask anything about contracts, deposits, red flags, or specific cities will answer as many as I can.

Elite IB school program finds demand beyond India’s big cities

In this Economic Times story on the proposed fixed-term US student visa model , I noted a noticeable shift in student and parent queries. While discussions were previously centred around universities, courses, scholarships, budgets, accommodation, and living costs, visa processes and post-study pathways are now being discussed much earlier in the decision-making journey. If implemented, a fixed-term visa framework could place greater emphasis on advance planning, documentation, and awareness of visa timelines.

s it just me, or is everyone ignoring the £1,800 discount on Calcott Ten?

Hello all, I have been looking out for some accommodation in Coventry for the coming 26/27 term. Everywhere I seem to go, I see people referring to Calcott Ten, which is quite a good location, only a 2-min walk from the university. But it looks like people are making the bookings the regular way via the usual booking portals.

Well, here’s a fact - when you make a booking via University Living, you save around £1,800 along with the £1,670 special discount bundle. They even offer Amazon Prime and Uber credit!

The housing scene in Coventry currently isn’t really great, and I thought you would find this useful. If you were planning to live in Calcott, then why not use these deals and save yourself some money!

I'm studying Masters in Product Design at Domus Academy, Milan. Here's how much student housing in Milan actually costs (and a deal I almost didn't get!)

Something that people don't tell you before moving? Housing near Domus Academy can be pretty difficult to find.

I've been using University Living, and here's what I discovered:

Durando 4.1 miles €999 €754/mo Bills incl., Gym, Breakfast, Social Area

Montebello 2.2 miles €1,500/mo Furnished, City Centre, AC, Washing Machine

full listing here

The Durando one is literally a bargain in Milan – fully furnished and bills included, plus gym and social areas where you can meet up with fellow international students. This discounted price won't last forever, though.

Montebello is high-end – right at the heart of the city but expect to pay a premium price for it.

Feel free to ask me anything regarding admissions in Domus Academy, cost of living in Milan or any other information related to Product Design. AMA 🙌
