EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 12gb blinking out on HDMI connected to a TV. Need help.
Hey all, so recently I wanted to hook my PC up to my Sony X90L TV to play some games on it. I have the proper HDMI 2.1 cable, and have tried plugging it into a HDMI 2.1 rated splitter, and even directly into the TV with the same results.
Every 30 to 45 seconds, the screen will just blink out as if I unplugged it, then back in again. It's driving me nuts because I seriously can't figure out what is wrong here.
I used to use the HDMI port on my GPU to go to my secondary monitor that is sub 1080p, and it never blinked out like this, so I know the port is fine.
I've tried multiple cables, all my drivers are up to date, I disabled CEC on the TV, I went into the Nvidia control panel and changed the "content type reported to the display" from "automatic" to "gaming", and nothing has made a difference. It still blinks out.
I'm at a total loss here after digging through google searches trying to troubleshoot this, so I figured I would ask here to see if anyone has any insight/solutions to this.
My PC specs are as follows.
- MSI MPG Z690 EDGE Wifi DDR4 Motherboard
- Intel Core i7-12700K CPU
- Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3600mhz 32gb Ram
- EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 12gb GPU.
- Corsair RM850x PSU
- Windows 11, with all current updates.
Any help here is greatly appreciated!
