I am graduating 2027 with my BS, and although I want to apply to vet school, I really want to focus on backups in case I don't get in my first cycle. I have a 3.4 GPA, so I want to focus on doing stuff to boost my gpa. Idk if I should do a master's or just take individual classes online after I graduate or do a graduate certificate. I have less than 1k animal/clinical hours but a diverse set of experiences (the schools I am interested in, I already meet their hour reqs, so I am not going to focus on that rn). I will be moving to Europe for a year and I cannot work due to my visa, which also limits things. Does anyone have any plan B or plan C in case they don't get in the first cycle? I know I will keep applying but I want to genuinely do smth during this gap year/years.

When I get anxious, my heartbeat goes up really high, really fast. Is there any tips on how to bring it down? Drs tell me to exercise and Ive been trying along with therapy but I was wondering if anyone else deals with this and how they manage, especially if youre a student like me

I thought I had a great amount of diverse experience, but now reading everyone else's experiences I am getting worried. Most of my expeinces have been during the summer, not year-round. They have been unique so I think I get points for that but nothing has been long-term. I tried to focus on school but I have a low gpa so idk what to say in my applications.

I am moving to Albania next summer with my family right after I graduate from college. I plan on going to vet school after a year and was wondering if there's any wildlife volunteering in Albania I could do. I have some wildlife experience (Wildlife Rehab and zoo volunteer summer internships). Any advice appreciated :)

What is the difference between these classes and are the labs hard?

I have a 3.4 so I am trying to mentally prepare myself because I know my chances are not great of getting in the first time. My plan was to take online classes as a non-degree-seeking student, since I know I will likely be rejected because of my GPA. Has anyone else done this? It will be a gap year of online classes I guess?

Hi. I am about to finish my 4th yr as an AS Major in the usa. I want to go to Australia for vet school, but I have a 3.4.

I don't know what to do. It seems like all vet schools only care about GPA. I have been volunteering with animals since middle school and have a diverse set of experiences. I volunteered at a zoo in my home country last summer, the summer before I volunteered at a shelter clinic and a wildlife rehab center, I worked for a month at a dairy farm, I have volunteered in shelters in different countries, ect. But due to anxiety burnout, I have a low gpa (ironically its because I was/am so worried about not getting into vet school).

I know that I want to be a vet, but the only thing holding me back is my gpa. I have traveled my whole life, I have a strong stomach, and I love taking care of sick animals. I know this is what I want to do with my life but it seems like my dream is out of reach.

I am wondering what I should do. I am trying to decide whether to take easy science classes for my last year or do my wildlife ecology minor. I am also thinking about what I can do if I don't get in the first time I apply. I plan to take science classes online after I graduate if I dont get in the first cycle and maybe do some more volunteering but I will be moving to Europe so idk for sure what my options are.

I appreciate any advice.
