Living Fossil villains: Gorgonna, Moth-Woman, Maracas, Coyote-Man, and Brown Recluse

Another motley crew of rogues this time, for The Living Fossil. I have already shared the Rocky Mountain Devil and Dr. Dragonfly. This time, I shall share the rest of the crop of terrible mutated supervillains.

The first is Gorgonna. She is the result of tampering with the Living Fossil's own blood and giving it to another person, tainting her blood and soul. It unlocked prehistoric primality, her body reverting to the genetics of pelycosaurs and the reptilian therapsids. This has led to vastly decreased intelligence but larger size, speed, and strength, as well as venomous spines and saber teeth to be a counter to the Living Fossil. Of all these antagonists, she is the only one who can truly match the strength of the Living Fossil.

Moth-Woman is a descendant of the very Moth-Man who terrorized West Virginia. Her mutations were latent at first until first growing her wings as an early teen, to which she then became a circus sideshow act. Her mutations worsened until finally fully resembling the old Moth-Man and starting to get obsessed with lights. She is able to produce strange pheromones that cause people to go into catatonic states. She can also fly, and has spit highly corrosive acid out of her mouth.

Maracas is a strange one. Once a singular rattlesnake within the Colorado, exposure to toxic waste and strange radiowaves gave this creature increased size and the growth of an additional head, and an extra rattle! He also gained human-like sentience with his brain mutating. This strange creature now gives off two-rattles when nearby, getting the name "maracas", but don't let that fool you: their powers also involve telepathy through radiowaves, being able to read thoughts and control minds.

Onto the Coyote-Man, who is not like these other supervillains. He is explicitly a powerful trickster spirit of old mountain folklore, taken into the flesh, who exists to be a slippery and cunning foe for the Living Fossil. He enjoys tricking him and trying to ruin his already-bad reputation further, all the while laughing at his misery.

The last is the Brown Recluse, a rich woman who had a very troubled upbringing and thus remained hidden from the world with her deep wealth. In her insanity, she would experiment with different poisons, particularly those of venomous spiders, and lure people into her abode to kill with poison. In a sample mixed up with Dr. Odonata's experiments and her own poisons, she was mutated into the very thing she already was: a venomous recluse. With her terrible mutation, she gained an insatiable hunger for human flesh, being able to create terrible webs and gained a terrible necrotic touch, disintegrating the skin of her enemies and desiring to consume their blood. She would become more bold in her killings, kidnapping people in the darkness and poisoning and consuming them in the shadows, hidden from many and becoming ever elusive.

Thank you for enjoying these characters, folks!

Psi-Wraith!

Here is a dangerous super villainess for you. Psi-Wraith! Jessica Jackson worked as an engineer in an atomic collider until it was switched on as she poked her head out in the middle of repairs. Her atomic structure was altered, as well as her brain capacity. She can re-arrange her atoms to become absolutely intangible, as well as invisible. Using this power extended to her brain, she can also manipulate people psychically, having limited mind control and the ability to read thoughts.

With these powers, she finds herself absolutely undetectable. If she is not already being completely unseen, she will ensure you forgot you ever saw her! And she is absolutely comfortable living in the shadows amassing wealth she stole by simply walking into a bank and taking money without anyone remembering they noticed.

The Rocky Mountain Devil and Dr. Dragonfly

Ignore the name on the picture lol

These are some enemies of The Living Fossil.

Dan "the Devil" Colt was a casino owner in Montana, running his own organized crime ring with the casino as a front. He became desperate as he was diagnosed with a consuming disease. He went to the services of Dr. Henry Odanata, AKA Dr. Dragonfly, who promised to cure him of his terrible disease. The cure worked, but with a terrible side effect: be became a bat creature with additional limbs, boils, and a scorpion tail and eyes that terrorized the Rocky Mountains. He began to be called the Rocky Mountain Devil for this reason, starting to consume cattle and terrorizing the night. He desires to return to normal and has begin stealing money in order to pay anyone to help him.

Dr. Henry Odonata, in contrast, willingly became Dr. Dragonfly. He believed that morality and human fears of mutations were holding them back, and that he wanted "spontaneous, controllable evolution" to improve the human race. Because of his experiments he mutated into a fly and reptile hybrid, and continues to want to make more hybrids like him, believing it is the future of the human race!

The Living Fossil

(Marked NSFW due to creepy transformation sequence)

Dr. George Jones is a kind and humble paleontologist who hides a terrible secret: he is cursed to turn into the ravaging LIVING FOSSIL! After excavating a cave in the Colorado, he was possessed by the spirit of an ancient theropod kept alive by cosmic radiation. Now he fights for control of his bodily form between his own soul, and the spirit of an ancient predator. When terrible evils come across the rocky mountains, he unleashes the Living Fossil to terrorize them, at the cost of losing his own humanity.

He is assisted by the biologist Amber Shale, a woman fascinated by the existence of cryptids and seeks to prove their existence. She helps Jones control his terrible transformation, while also being a leading lady in her own right to capture and study other supernatural beasts of the American wilderness.

The Emerald-Man, Sapphire-Swan, and the Blue Moon!

Two of my characters, Emerald-Man and Sapphire-Swan, who appear in my graphic novel I made on Amazon, called "The Mystical Emerald-Man". Blue Moon appears in her own little online adventures, which may get a printed compilation in the future. People can read it on Amazon, and check out my other comic books on my GlobalComix page!

Phyiscal copies of the Emerald-Man first volume: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H157RDQ7

Digital issues of Emerald-Man Volume 2, and Blue Moon: https://globalcomix.com/a/collin-lamping

I would describe Emerald-Man as a geomancer, he has the ability to manipulate carbon-based materials, as well as limited control over wind. In general, he has power over "creation" itself, but largely sticks to carbons. He gets his power largely due to keeping a faithful oath to protect creation. It is largely based off faith in what he can do.

Sapphire-Swan is a half-fey, her powers are flight as well as the ability to mend wounds on herself and others. Her powers come from the fact that she is a descendant of the celtic fey Lir, which is where she gets her swan powers.

Blue Moon's primarily ability is what I call 'tidal force manipulation', so she has manipulation over gravity, and limited regenerative powers. This however fluctuates in power as she relies on moonlight for her powers. She can use these powers to increase the strength of her punches, she's used it to make herself move faster, and also levitate objects and people.

The Mystical Emerald-Man Volume 1 [OC]

My own superhero graphic novel which is a compilation of my first 17 digital issues! Emerald-Man is a comic that likes to homage back to the silver-bronze age of comic books. It also explores elements of Irish Christianity and Irish pagan folklore.
