I originally posted here because I wanted feedback from people who were already frustrated with Trakt and other tracking apps, and you guys gave me quite a lot of it.

One thing came up more than anything else:

“I’d try it if it had a web version.”

Well, it does now :)

It uses the same Movie Paradise account, so all of your existing data is already there. Nothing needs to be imported again.

And since this is r/TraktRejects, probably the most relevant part:

Trakt sync is two-way.

You can keep Trakt connected and use both, or import your Trakt history into Movie Paradise and use it independently. Either way works, and imports are free regardless of whether you have Premium.

Tracking itself is also still unlimited on the free tier.

Some of the more advanced features are Premium, including additional Smart Lists, advanced statistics, provider notifications, integrations and episode-rating charts.

Movie Paradise 5.4.0 is now available.

The main change is badges. Sixty collectible badges now cover the things you already do in the app: watching, streaks, rating, commenting, building lists and more. Most run from bronze to diamond and upgrade the moment you cross a threshold, with a celebration and a sound of their own. Your history counts too, so the first time you open the gallery you get everything you have already earned, going back through your whole library.

Also new in this update:

• Badge notifications, so an award reaches you within seconds even when the app is closed

• A badge showcase for your profile, where you pick the three you want visitors to see

• A badge leaderboard, so you can see where your collection ranks

• Eight new importers: Refract, Cinopsys, TodoMovies, Sofa Time, Moviebase, Eigabox and Medialib, plus a full Movie Paradise round trip that exports one account and imports it into another, category by category

• A library reset that handles huge libraries, and a reset dialog where the scope options can actually be selected

• Airs Today that respects actual airtimes instead of just the date

• Faster bulk actions in the tracker and library

• A long list of community reported fixes

Movie Paradise was voted the #1 TV Time alternative in the recent r/TVTime community poll, receiving 22.6% of the vote with 733 votes.

Seeing the app finish first alongside so many great alternatives genuinely means a lot, especially as a solo developer. The feedback, bug reports, feature requests, and recommendations from this community have directly shaped the app.

The support also created a much larger migration wave than I expected.

Between July 1 and August 5, 2026, Movie Paradise processed:

• 115 million movie and episode records
• 15,461 completed imports
• 5-second median import time
• 99.3% import success rate
• 713,791 comments imported

The main change is the TV Time comment archive. Years of rescued episode and movie comments now live inside Movie Paradise, right next to your regular discussions, with avatars, images and a translate button. The archive is read only and clearly separated from live comments.

With TV Time shutting down on July 15 and deleting everyone's data, I built the migration to be painless. I import your full TV Time export, and unlike the common Trakt and TVmaze imports, that means your comments, GIFs, ratings, and watch history all come across, not just your show list.

Ten days. 46 million movies and TV episodes pulled in. I'm still kind of in shock looking at these numbers.

When I started building Movie Paradise, I had one goal: let people move over without leaving years of memories behind. Not just a list of titles, but the whole thing. Watch history, ratings, comments, GIFs. All of it.

And over the last ten days, thousands of you did exactly that:

July 1 to July 10

• 🎬 46,000,000+ movies and TV episodes imported
• 💬 225,000+ comments, with gifs and pictures
• ✅ 7,905 imports completed
• ⚡ 7 second median import time
• 🎯 99.7% success rate

That last number is the one I'm most proud of. Migrating years of history and getting it right 99.7% of the time is not easy, and I sweated every detail to make it feel effortless on your end.

Thank you to everyone who believed in this early, reported bugs, requested features, and spread the word. This is a solo project, so all of that reaches me directly and it genuinely keeps me going.
