hi! looking to buy a faulty vx1000, the issue is some times the tape deck will work perfectly and other times it won’t produce a picture at all. like if you turn it on you won’t know wether the tape deck will work or not. any help? thanks in advance.
it only appears when i press the “ok” button from an universal remote, any clue? (also, pardon my poor drawing skills lolol)
preferably without buying anything. i thought about using the connectors between the grip and the camera but i don’t think i can do that. any help?
hi! is there any way to set my fire stick to an aspect ratio of 4:3? or just to stretch it horizontally and then de-zoom, i’m trying to set one up on an old crt tv and the tv doesn’t have any options for widescreen. is there any program i could install to fix this? i’m handy with soldering if i have to mod it the hard way. any help? thanks in advance
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice on an Olivetti Lexikon 82 that I recently got.
The machine is in pretty bad cosmetic condition, but at first glance it seems like most of the mechanism is working properly. The carriage moves freely, the carriage return key works as it should, the platen rotates correctly, and the carriage advances normally when using the functioning controls.
However, there’s one major issue, none of the letter keys work, and neither does the space bar.
When I press any letter key, the “letter ball” doesn’t move at all, it stays completely still. The same happens with the space bar. pressing it doesn’t advance the carriage. It almost feels as if those keys are disconnected from the mechanism somehow.
What’s confusing is that everything else appears to function normally. The carriage isn’t locked, it travels smoothly, and all the other controls seem to behave as expected.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a Lexikon 82 or another Olivetti typewriter?
I’m attaching some photos in case they help identify the problem. Any suggestions about what to inspect first or which linkage might be stuck, disconnected, or locked would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
last one is edited, as the scan originally had a line in the center
