Post run snack

I ran 4 miles this morning at Alki Beach in Seattle then took my son to grab a snack after!

Fruit and smoked trout.

Protein and quickly available carbs made a great post run snack.

Steak dinner

With rice, Jicama, and a salad.

The steak is packed with protein. The rice is my carb source. Jicama is fiberous and delicious and the salad is filling with very few calories.

Pork Roast

Mississippi pork roast, rice, squash, and salad for dinner.

The pork, although not my favorite meat, is a cheap and excellent source of protein.

Butternut squash is cheap and filling.

Altogether this is an ecinomical meal with high protein and hits my macro goals as a whole.

Red Pear

After ove rnight oats, bananas, blueberries, egg whites, eggs, and turkey sausage for breakfast my snack this morning is red pears.

IMO red pears outperform an apple in terms of available energy.

What's your go to fruit for an energy burst?
