I've been wanting to pull the trigger on my first Combustion setup (Predictive Thermometer + Giant Grill Gauge bundle, $329) and got as far as checkout. Then shipping came in at $116.24, about 35% of the product price, bringing the total to $445.24. And that's before Swiss import VAT and customs handling.

I'm in Switzerland but I also have a parcel box in Germany, so I tried both addresses. No difference at all, same $116.24 either way, which surprised me since one of them is inside the EU.

So a few honest questions to the community and to anyone from Combustion reading along:

• Is this expected for European orders, or is there a shipping option/carrier I'm missing?
• Is there an EU distributor or reseller that makes more sense than ordering direct?
• Has anyone here ordered to CH or DE recently, what did you end up paying all-in?

I genuinely want the product, the tech looks great and the reviews here are what got me interested in the first place. But at that shipping rate I keep closing the tab. Would love to hear how others outside the US have handled it.
