Optic for Henry Big Boy X in 357

Looking at buying this gun as a multipurpose rifle. Primary use will be Whitetail hunting, range toy, and a little bit of home defense.

Not sure what optic to run, been looking at red dots like the vortex SPARC or the Romeo5 but I'm not sure if a LVPO is a better choice.

Would appreciate any opinions.

Too good to be true Romeo5 ebay deals

Looking on eBay for a red dot for one of my builds and there are some deals on these that seem to be too good to be true.

Has anyone bought a Romeo off eBay and had good results? My concerns are that they are fake.

Problems with Qidi Box and Filament being loaded

So I have had the Qidi Q2 and Qidi box for a few months now and love it. But I have an issue currently. I switched out the box for the external hub to print something in TPU and now that i have the box as the main way to feed filament into the machine it does this odd thing while loading filament.

Once the filament hits the little black box on the back of the printer(the one the four tubes connect to) it pushes the filament at an absolute snails pace for so far before it thinks it has pushed it far enough, when in fact it hasnt even gotten into the chamber of the printer, let alone the extruder.

Has anyone experienced this before? I am not running cardboard spools, I am running a Sunlu PA6-CF spool and have done so in the past with no issues.

Save me from my dumbass self

Printed a can from the ftn pack months ago but i forget which one it is. I believe it is for 556 as that is the last can print in my printer history, but i cannot recall if I started a can and stopped or uploaded it to the printer and never started it. The main issue is the print job directly before it is a 30 cal so I would like to figure it out.

The exit hole is ~7mm according to my calipers if that helps.

Of course for any Federales lurking in here, I do have the appropriate Form 1 for both calibers.

Planet coaster wrror

I have tried downloading planet coaster from fit girl and cs but I get the same error either way. When I try to open the game it appears on my toolbar(windows) and my cursor turns into the in-game style cursor but the game itself doesn't appear on the screen. When I hover over the game icon on the toolbar it has a mini gray window appear and that's it

UL 4.5ft spinning rod or 7ft l rod for crappie, bluegill, perch etc

Looking to get into fishing for this species of fish. I have a 4.5ft ul rod but I'm not sure if it's what's best for my fishing needs/style. I fish from both shore and kayak/boat and I would be using zman micro wormz, Johnson 2" paddle tails, mini spinner baits, inline spinner baits. Rebel crickhoppers and strike king bitzy minnow cranks just to name a few.

What do you guys think?

Also what line would you run? I run braid to fluro on my bass rod

Additionally, open to lure suggestions give me your favorite jigs, rigs, etc

Just got the Barnett Recruit XP. Need recommendations for things like bolts, type of broadheads etc.

Basically title. Looking for some decent arrows, I see at my local walmart they have barnett headhunter and bone collector. The bone collectors are fairly inexpensive (on sale for 6.48) a five pack of headhunter are on sale for $55. would the bone collector be sufficient for just practicing and getting the scope sited in?

What is a good grain weight for this crossbow?

Combo gun

Looking for a combo gun for small game, maybe deer etc. I have seen the TPS M6 in 357, which I like because I can shoot 38 out of it and also get an adapter to still shoot 22lr if I wanted, but it appears to be out of stock everywhere. I was just curious if there are other options that exist out there that I missed.

New HW tank has water around relief valve

Put a new electric water heater in and I noticed water pooling around the valve down where the valve goes into the tank.

I tightened the valve a little bit more and I noticed a few hours later a little water has returned. It doesn't seem to overflow the area, just fill the gap around the valve and tank.

Barnett XP400 as my first bow

Looking at picking up the XP400 for 200 on marketplace as my foray into archery. I was curious about what people thought about this brand and model as a friend of mine says they are not great due to limb issues.

I also am looking at the Killer instinct that BPS sells

Thanks

Stumbled my way into a Tech position in my DOT

So I previously worked for a small (3 people including me and the PLS) survey firm. Due to the changing landscape of health insurance in the US I had to move on from there and I applied to my state DOT. I got the job but I have quickly gotten the feeling I may be a bit over my skis on this as I was mostly a field crew member( located pins, and important field data along with placing corner pins) I would like to pursue this job into a career getting my seal. But i have no formal education, and continuing my education in getting an education in this isn't really possible.

Where should i start with self teaching? I imagine I should freshen up on math but what other resources should i begin studying?

I know I'll get sent through a state training on their CAD program so I want to focus my time on other areas.

A couple of questions

I typically wear Ariat Ropers, mostly because thats what is readily available to me. I was looking at going with Cowboy heels for a change, but I am not sure if that would be best for work (land surveyor for DOT)

Would cowboy heels be a bad idea for work? Not too worried about slopes and gravel as I'm mostly on roadways, I also already use insoles as I have fallen arches.

I wear Carhartt and Rural King work pants, and when I sit in a chair or vehicle, the pant leg rides up over the boot shaft. Is this a pant cut style issue? If so, besides the cowboy cut, is their another cut/brand you recommend?

FTN Reinforcement opinions

Looking through the instructions on the FTN 5.1 pack and I see that he mentions JB Fiberweld in the baffled rifle section.

Has anyone tried this for a 30cal (308) before? Obviously aluminum pipe would be the best option, but has anyone tried it?

Annealing FTN.5

Looking for advice on annealing.

I have an air fryer with dehydrate mode that I used for drying the roll. The PA6-CF is made by sunlu, would you bury it in sand? Not anneal it at all? What about water annealing?

Thanks

Got this 14' boat for basically free. It has a 4 HP Johnson with it that runs just fine.

But I'm looking to upgrade it a bit if anyone has any suggestions.

First thoughts were a fresh coat of paint and a trolling motor setup.
