While I was mid-series I remember coming across a post that said the entire gleeman's tale of "Mara and the Three Foolish Kings" was spread throughout the series in reverse order.

I didn't look into it then because I was avoiding spoilers, but is that true? If so, has anyone compiled it into one place?

edit: apparently this isn't true. Maybe it was a theory as the series was being written? And I misremembered it as fact.

now I want to know if the full story was ever found in his notes, or have some clever fanfic writer write it, lol

I remember them saying it cost a lot of money to power the gate each time. Or am I misremembering? Maybe the Gate was free, but the operations costs surrounding it was huge. Because the primitive worlds they visit don't have the gate connected to an electricity grid.

When I knew it, it had been a WIP most likely on AO3, probably abandoned.

The girl-who-lived Iris (?) Potter has been outed as a subject of prophecy. (Year 5? 6?). To help her, the Order does a ritual to find someone from the multiverse to help. Only they screw up the ritual so Harry is badly hurt upon arrival and unrecognizable when healed. He can't be sent home, either. So he's pissed.

He pretends his name is Harry White. He refuses to help but is threatened into sticking around as the Divination professor. He doesn't want to be a fraud like Lockhart so he uses the Room of Requirement to actually learn the subject. Lavender and Parvati hate his teaching methods, but the new methods are far more practical.

Iris sees his name on the Map and is pissed as a relative abandoning her. Harry explains he was kidnapped from another world. She keeps his secret and they become friends.

That's as much as I remember.

I was just thinking about how that would change things. Katniss' heart wouldn't harden. She wouldn't become burdened. She'd go on singing. She'd be loving. She'd let herself fall in love. Possibly with Peeta, even before he's reaped. And she would still be brave enough to volunteer for Prim. (Of course, Katniss would never have taken tesserae so the arrangement of slips would be different, but let's handwave that away).

In some way she might be less prepared. She'd have spent less time in the woods overall and certainly less, if any, alone. But the time she did spend in the woods, she'd be getting more advanced lessons from her dad.

And the similarities with Lucy Gray might be even stronger if she sings for her reaping and interview.

I've only seen the series once and I'm sure I missed a lot of detail. But I remember Azula seemed a lot scarier and more precise, except when she was losing her mind.

So in what way is Katara a better fighter than Azula, and vice-versa? What are their strengths and weaknesses?

Given that whole legend become myth thing and how in our Age we remember Lucifer as a corruption of Lews Therin, etc., is Luthair meant to be a corruption of Luther or Luthor (i.e. 16th century Martin Luther or comic-book villain Lex Luthor)? Or am I reading too much into things?

Or maybe it was chosen for having some similarity to his father, Arthur.

I watched the series a long time ago but only got as far as season 2. Then I guess Cartoon Network had to wait for new episodes to translate and censor. So I started reading fanfic but all the best ones were abandoned. So I abandoned the fandom.

So, I'm looking to get back into fandom. Any completed fic you can recommend? I'd love one that focuses on Kagome in her own time having Mike adventures, like The Soul Piper episode? (Like this abandoned fic. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/1084561/1/Present-Time)

Well I badly misremembered the timeline. I thought Albus was 10, Abe 6, and Ariana 3 when she was attacked. Turns out, according to the wiki, they were born in 1881, 1883-4, and 1885, making them 10, 7-8, and 6 when she was attacked. The gaps between their ages was much smaller than I thought.

Regardless, I got to thinking, I see all these time travel stories about Harry and his friends, and some about the Marauder's generation, but what if Albus got a chance to relive his life and save his sister? I'd love to see what Ariana could grow to be if she'd never become an Obscurial. What else could Albus do with knowledge of the future?

1897 - He could stop young Gellert. Maybe cool his ambitions instead of fanning them.

1897 - He could "invent" the wolfsbane potion.

1924 - He could convince 17 y.o. Merope she's able to leave home without becoming a rapist kidnapper. Maybe Albus marries Merope in a marriage of convenience to whisk her away. TR Jr would never be born. Would another Dark Lord take his place? Would it be Albus's son?

Would Albus inadvertently become the Dark Lord and never even realize it until Harry is taking him down a century later?

I already had the posters, but then my twin sister made me a Rizzo amigurumi for our birthday, so I want to display that too. Then I figured I could also display my Figment plush.

My only concern about having the dolls in the middle is the shadow that the shelf might cast on the lower posters. In some I have the 3 white and 3 black grouped together. In some they are alternating.

(The posters are a bit slapdash as I put online copies of the posters together with frames in powerpoint, but this gives a general idea).

My mother and his mother live in the same retirement community and are setting us up on a date. He and I talked on the phone for about 20 minutes and he mentioned he does hotel reviews and sometimes gets free or discounted hotels. This was after we both mentioned we enjoy visiting an amusement park which is a few hours away, so it wasn't completely out of left field. But I wondered if he was hinting at wanting a sexual relationship by bringing up hotel accommodations.

For various reasons, I've decided I want to wait until marriage. I know it's not the right choice for everyone, but it is the right choice for me. At what point do I bring this up?

I don't want to lead anyone on, but it feels weird to bring up on a first date. If we make it to a third date, should I mention it then? If so, how do I bring it up? Or should I wait for some kind of signal that he wants more than getting to know each other? Assuming he's even that kind of guy. Maybe he's waiting too, how would I know? I'm super shy and not sure what to expect or how to talk about this with a guy.

Does the fact that our mothers are friends change things?

I want a Hybrid SUV that also takes gas, not a full electric vehicle. I live in Florida, so neither snow nor mountains are an issue here.

I've previously owned the 2005 Acura MDX and 2015 Honda CRV, kept both for 10 years and loved them both. Neither was hybrid since I don't think that was an option back then. I would have kept the Acura longer if I hadn't been badly rear-ended.

I don't drive a lot. My 2015 Honda has only 90k miles. I was going to keep it until it died, but with the changing legal landscape forcing car manufacturers to add what I consider Orwellian-esque surveillance in 2027, I want to get a new car before those changes go into effect.

Now I've looked at the Honda CR-V Hybrid and Subaru Forester Hybrid and thought both looked great. However, the Subaru only gets ~35 mpg. I'm going to look at Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. Mom wants me to see if Buick or VW have Hybrid SUVs as well.

Any suggestions for other brands to look at, or feedback about any of these I mentioned?

I don't know where I read it, it was so long ago. Most likely sources are ff net and AO3. I literally remember nothing except Harry was trying to invent spells that could get past the traditional counter-spells for the thing they were mistaken for. So he invented "Stubefy" which I think could get through a Protego, and whose color was very close to "Stupefy". He was proactive.

I don't think it was time travel, but it could have been. Pretty sure he was a Gryffindor. I think this fic has a Gringotts shopping spree where he got a trunk with a training room in it where he invented the spells, but I could be conflating this with other fic.

This movie always moves me to tears. It's like all the sadness Lilo, Nani, and Stitch can't express comes bubbling out of me. This is a hard movie to watch, but it's beautiful.

Does anyone else turn into a snot ball when watching?
