I don't have a kid , but I do have a car that o got with my current boyfriend and it has put me 4k in debt , while I'm working full time , while I go to school for my masters. My boyfriend sits on his as and tries to conjure up ways for him to make money .
I got him an interview and hopefully he will be working soon. But but but how do I get it into his head that I can't survive like that ..

I wanted to ask a question. How to motivate my boyfriend ?
For starters he's 31M. I believe he had a rough start in life like we all & I am very empathetic to that, we aren't all given the same chances. However we've been dating for 6-8 months, I work full time, got the car, job and studying for school & taking the load of the financial burden.
He tells me to be patient with him that time will come and we will be " up".
I got him an interview for a job & hope that that goes through. Am I enabling him ? What can I do to encourage him to just be more ambitious ? I think he feel stuck you know , no real education background , food experience .
What would you want in a situation like this ?

I've applied to Fulbright before the teaching program in Vietnam and made it to the finalist level.
I want to go for it again , doing research in Africa ( Ghana , Senegal Nigeria ) specifically to explore their community based organization on the ground.
Any advice regarding the research portion of the grant ? How detailed should my research be? Has anyone had to find a host institution? If so what was the process like ?
What advice do you recommend to me ?
