Free Giveaway - Givson Guitar with Built-in pre-amp.

Hi folks,
Decluttering is going on and wanted to giveaway my Givson guitar with built in preamp. It hasn’t been used in about 10 years.

I’m not charging anything. This is free for whoever wants to come and pick it up.

There is one slight problem, the neck has a few cracks. You can take it to a guitar store and get it fixed. Or anyone with decent woodwork knowledge can fix it.

Location: Prakruthi Township, Babusapalya.
I’ll be at this address for another hour or so. Feel free to DM.

Update: The Guitar has been collected by a fellow Redditor

Please support this man - This might be our first step towards holding the government accountable for E20

This might be completely unrelated to this subreddit but the core issue is still the same - I feel with enough pressure if the govt. nudges this might be our first step towards setting a standard towards responsibility of the clown show they perform

This makes a new standard for accountability

All people need is reward - people refrain from getting involved coz they think it's of no use causing a vicious cycle of people not supporting enough to cause enough pressure leading to negative results

If we provide enough pressure and the government nudges people will find the incentive to criticise the government and yea issues related to ethanol can also be raised - but on a much larger scale

Please show as much as support as you can - whichever way possible

Not Just Ethanol. The Entire Fuel Infrastructure Is A Threat To Your ENGINE!

Had posted this in r/CarsIndia first and later on r/indianbikes but in both godi mods removed them almost immediately.

We're seeing it everyday on Social Media–drivers/owners screaming about their engines facing rust, corrosion, stalling—everyone is pointing the finger directly at ethanol.

But chemically speaking, ethanol is just doing what it naturally does. The actual culprit is the massive gap in our supply chain and storage infrastructure.

Here is what is actually happening on a molecular level, and why the government put the cart before the horse by rolling this out without fixing the foundational infrastructure first.

The Science: Ethanol is a Moisture Magnet

As a molecule, ethanol is hygroscopic. Because it contains a hydroxyl group (-OH), it is structurally similar to water (H₂O) and forms hydrogen bonds with it easily. If you expose ethanol to air, it acts like a chemical sponge, actively pulling humidity and moisture right out of the atmosphere.

When ethanol absorbs enough water, the ethanol-water mixture becomes heavier than the gasoline it is blended with. It drops to the bottom of the fuel tank in a process called phase separation. Your car's fuel pump sits at the bottom of the tank. Instead of pumping clean fuel, it ends up sucking up a highly corrosive, watery sludge that destroys engine components.

The Real Problem: The Supply Chain

Ethanol itself is perfectly fine if kept in a completely sealed, bone-dry environment. But look at the journey our fuel takes:

  • Transportation: Ethanol is blended at depots and moved in massive tankers. Every time fuel is transferred from a depot to a tanker, or a tanker to a fuel station, it is exposed to the atmosphere.
  • Fuel Station Storage: Underground tanks at local pumps are notorious for water seepage, especially in a country that experiences intense monsoons, waterlogging, and flooding. Vent pipes on these tanks let in humid air, and the ethanol eagerly absorbs it.
  • Your Car's Tank: If you don't drive your car every day, that blended fuel sits in the tank. Failed or aging rubber seals around the fuel cap, fluctuating temperatures, and ambient humidity mean the ethanol is quietly pulling moisture from the air while parked in your driveway. Hence, why I've begun shaking my cars/bikes for a good 20 seconds to agitate the fuel before I crank the engine when I haven't started them in 3-4 days.

The Testing Disconnect

When authorities test ethanol blends for safety and efficiency, they do it in highly controlled, climate-regulated laboratory environments.

What they aren't accounting for is the real-world Indian environment: 90% humidity during a Mumbai monsoon, flooded streets in Bengaluru, aging tanker trucks, microscopic leaks in underground storage tanks, and degraded rubber seals on older cars. The labs test a pristine product; our engines are drinking a compromised one.

We Didn't Build the Plumbing

Ethanol blending is a great concept on paper for reducing emissions and import bills, but India simply does not have the airtight, moisture-proof infrastructure required to support it at a nationwide scale.

Before mandating E10 and E20, the government should have mandated and subsidized a massive overhaul of transport tankers, underground storage tanks, and pump filtration systems. We are treating a highly sensitive chemical compound like it’s regular old crude oil, and consumers are paying the price in massive repair bills.

No one asking the authorities asking the government the hard questions on a molecular level.

I've only been witnessing everyone pointing to a damaged engine or fuel tank–and then Gandkari defending saying that it is propaganda and that their lab tests didn't reveal any damage.

Until we fix the supply chain to respect the basic chemistry of ethanol, our engines will keep paying the price.

35yo Marketing Director, scaled SaaS from 0 to $1M ARR solo, but facing an equity breach. Do I stay or pivot?

I am at a professional crossroads and looking for perspectives from those who have navigated high-growth startup leadership.

I have spent 15 years of experience working across Automotive, Hospitality, Fintech, and SaaS. I evolved from a boots-on-the-ground Event Manager to a Marketing Director; this path gave me a rare practical edge. I have handled everything from complex product launches to large-scale trade fairs and industry conferences. I am a full-stack, "most complete" marketer—I don’t just "run marketing." I own the entire GTM pipeline from strategy through to customer acquisition and closing. I write, script, design, shoot, edit (Adobe Creative Cloud stack), and handle web development.

I am an ISB, IIMB, and SIBM alumnus.

My current situation: I joined this SaaS company in Nov 2023 when it was pre-revenue. The hiring process was an informal chat with the CEO at a mall; no CV needed, he just knew he needed me. Within 30 days of me joining, he fired the rest of the marketing team.

For the last two years, I have been the sole contributor, scaling us to $1M+ ARR and setting us up for our first round of funding.

The conflict: My salary is 31.5 LPA. During negotiation, I was promised 1% equity (vesting 0.25% annually over four years). After two years, the CEO unilaterally decided to cap me at 0.5%, claiming I "didn't meet expectations," despite the clear revenue growth. He refused to discuss it further. I accepted it quietly at the time, but the trust is gone.

I’m currently feeling maxed out as a solo contributor.

My dilemma:

  1. Stay: The product is growing and I’m a key driver of the upcoming funding round. But the equity breach and lack of support are a major red flag for the long term.
  2. Switch: I want to move, but I’m struggling. My skill set is too broad for a standard one-page CV, and I feel like I don't fit into the "specialized boxes" that automated HR filters look for today.

How do you package a "full-stack" career that refuses to fit on one page without being dismissed as a generalist? Any advice on how to navigate this move at 35 would be appreciated.

Worst embarrassment of my life at a house party

Had the worst embarrassment of my life a couple hours back and I’m unable to fall asleep because of it.

I’m not a DJ by profession but I cover for my good friend who is a DJ every time he is at a private event. I fill in for him at the pubs that he hosts Karaoke and DJ set every week. He doesn’t pay me for it and I do it for fun. And I do a pretty kickass job at it.

Tonight, I hosted Karaoke followed by a DJ set for 400+ people in a pub in Bengaluru. After that my wife and I headed home. We had driven only 3-4km when a mutual friend (let’s call him friend 1) called and said our DJ buddy invited us to a house party close by. He (the dj friend) insisted that we come.

So we turned around, headed there, found parking after a little back and forth and went inside. It was a huge house with some high-end folks. The house and the party belonged to an esteemed real estate family. We went to the dance floor, met with our DJ bro, said hi, met a couple of known faces and shook their hands. DJ kept insisting we grab a drink despite we turning him down a few times. Finally we caved.

Another friend (friend 2) who was with our DJ accompanied us to the bar. They had bartenders serving drinks at 1am. I just asked them for a beer even though they had the best of liquor. While my beer is being handed to me, my wife calls me and asks me to put the beer down.

Turns out the host of the party approached her and asked her who she was and what she was doing there. She responded by saying ‘DJ’ invited us, he was like so what? This is a private party. It was at this moment she called out to me.

I explained to the host in the nicest way possible that we didn’t gatecrash and that we were invited. He then eased up. Then couple more guys walk in and one of them an elderly gentleman who seemed like the host’s dad or uncle. The DJ also came to the bar at this time and he was explaining to them that they’re my people and I called them.

As he was talking the elderly gentlemen was shaking his head like it was unacceptable and saying no by moving his hand back and forth. I couldn’t hear them talk as the music was loud. But the body language was enough to know that we didn’t belong there.

I put the beer I had in my hand back on the bar (I didn’t even take a sip of) and my wife and I and friend 1 walked out while they were still talking. It was embarrassing as hell. The drive back home was quiet.

I sat in bed and gamed for a bit. My wife fell asleep but I’m unable to digest what happened. We didn’t ask to be at that party. We didn’t ask for a drink. We didn’t deserve to be shown the door.

My DJ buddy didn’t call or text after that either. I’m guessing he is as embarrassed as I am. But I’m not sure how to handle this.

Travelling from Riyadh to India soon? Need a huge favor for an upcoming anniversary

Hey everyone, I am looking for someone who is traveling from Riyadh to India, preferably Bangalore, in the next 2 weeks. I want to get my wife her absolute favorite perfume which is only available in Riyadh for our upcoming first anniversary on 7th July. It is available on 'Noon' and can be home delivered. There's no ship to India option or I would've used it.

You can bring it in your check-in luggage. It's only a 100ml perfume bottle.

I can meet you anywhere in Bangalore to pick it up, or I can arrange a pickup if that is easier. I will happily cover any extra hassle and treat you to a good meal or drinks as a massive thank you for helping me out.

If you are flying down soon and have a little bit of space to spare, please DM. It would really make her day.

Thanks in advance!

Full-Stack Marketing Head - Looking to Join as CoFounder

I am looking to join forces with a solid technical founder as a marketing co-founder. I am not here to demand a massive team or burn through your runway. Over the last 15 years, I have built GTM engines from the ground up across SaaS, Fintech, Automotive, and Multi-Unit Brands. Evolving from an event manager to a Marketing Director on both the agency and client sides gave me a highly practical edge.

I am Bangalore based and an alumnus of ISB, IIMB, and SIBM, but I do not sit in an ivory tower. I am extremely hands-on and own the entire customer journey, focusing strictly on actual revenue rather than vanity metrics.

Because I am highly frugal with marketing spend, I handle the heavy lifting myself. I script, write, shoot, and edit my own content using the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects). This allows me to test aggressively across international markets without agency bloat. I recently reduced my (current SaaS organisation's) marketing expenses by 50 percent by shifting our acquisition strategy toward AEO. Capturing high-intent leads through AEO is currently driving a 68% conversion rate.

I never shy away from a challenge, but I need a partnership built on mutual trust. I deliver the absolute best results when allowed to be the master of my domain, driving the marketing vision without heavy micromanagement or constant boardroom intervention. If you have a brilliant product ready to scale and need someone to take complete ownership of your growth, drop me a message.

[Hiring] My friend is a single mom & Customer Success expert in a desperate spot. 7+ years exp, needs work ASAP.

I’m skipping the Mother’s Day flowers and getting straight to it. A close friend of mine—a single mother of two here in Bangalore—is in a tough position. She took a risk on a cloud kitchen last year that unfortunately failed, and now she’s struggling to cover her kids' school fees.

She isn’t looking for a handout; she’s looking for a seat at a table where she can deliver value. If your startup is scaling and needs someone who actually knows how to handle complex operations and US clients, please read on.

The Specs:

  • Experience: 7.5 years in Healthcare IT (EMR/EHR implementation and project management).
  • Core Skills: Interface integrations (Mirth Connect), provider onboarding, customer success, and high-compliance verifications.
  • Track Record: Managed projects for US hospitals and handled data for Fortune 500s (BofA, Walmart, FedEx) with 99% compliance.
  • Roles: She’s a perfect fit for Implementation Specialist, Project Coordinator, or Customer Success Lead, but she’s at a point where she’ll take any stable role to get back on her feet.

She’s technically sound, resilient as hell, and used to fast-paced environments. I’m not posting her CV publicly for privacy reasons, but if you’re hiring or know a founder who is, please DM me. I’ll share her details immediately.

Let's actually help a mom win today. Thanks, guys.
