Any must haves that I missed?

Any must haves that I missed?

Car has 92k miles and I made a post a few days ago on what you would do with some cash to the FiST. I decided to wait for the timing belt only because I have about another 10k miles till due. So this is what I picked up for now. I already have an intercooler, radiator, diverter valve, symposer delete, intake and off-road turbo back exhaust. It's on stock suspension right now and it's honestly a little scary above 80mph because of how stiff and bouncy it is.

Next month I'll pick up the timing belt kit, trans fluid, radiator hoses and the other two vibra-tech mounts. Am I missing anything super important in the list I pictured? And besides what I'm getting next month, are there any must haves I should get?

What would you do?

I have a budget of 3500. I already have a mishimoto intercooler, radiator, catless down pipe with exhaust, symposer delete, short ram intake, short throw shifter assembly and an access port running a Stratified 93 octane tune. The car has 92k miles on stock suspension and stock wheels and tires.

I know 3 grand isn't a lot of money but I'd like some suggestions. I want the car as dead reliable as I can get it and have a great stance with a nice ride. I'm planning on a dual catch can. Should I do the timing belt and a tune up? I was going to go with whoosh coils and plugs. I realize that's going to be more than half the money right there....

Just looking for pointers because I'm new to the platform. Thanks y'all.

For sale.

Letting it go. 2010 r design m66. 137k miles. Continental black series timing belt kit with water pump, cam and crank seals replaced less than 100 miles ago. Car mysteriously sprung an oil leak from head gasket after timing belt job. The car runs and drives great, you just can't get into boost or the pressure will cause the oil to leak from the driver corner of the head gasket. I'm just throwing in the towel.

Timing belt job has about 40 miles on it.

New parts installed with less than 5k miles:

- genuine Volvo pcv assembly with dipstick o-ring and hose.

- thermostat housing assembly.

- upper and lower radiator hoses.

- coolant reservoir.

- spark plugs.

- genuine Volvo motor mounts, transmission mount and ipd torque mount with bracket.

- swaybar end links.

- genuine Volvo tcv valve.

- ipd magnetic drain plug.

- timing covers

- timing belt with tensioners, water pump, cam and crank seals.

- ac belt tensioner

- drive belt

- rear brake pads.

- driver rear brake caliper.

- alg dark ice designs short shifter.

- exhaust tips with polished stock muffler.

- yellow fog lights from ipd.

- checkered floor mats

- led parking light bulbs and license plate bulbs.

- new front grille custom professionally painted gloss black surround with cosmic white Volvo slash and emblem.

Parts that I have not installed but will come with car:

- all new gloss black emblems.

- high quality yellow metal moose badges.

- high quality metal Swedish flag emblem.

- alg front rubber lip

- can of Eastwood 2k spray paint in Java brown. (I was going to redo the front lower cladding)

- set of jaguar f pace 19x8 wheels with red center caps.

I'm just exhausted with the car. I love this car but after all the money I spent restoring it, the head gasket just made me throw in the towel. The car is not perfect, the front bumper cladding needs to be refinished, it has 2 very small hardly noticeable dings in the passenger door. The headliner is sagging, the front seats need to be refinished and when I was putting in the short throw shifter, the shift knob came apart on me so it just has some duct tape wrapped around the handle for now.

I was going to build a big turbo motor for it but just lost the motivation. It's got cold AC and the dynaudio system but there's a Fleetwood Mac CD stuck in the player....I guess it could be worse lol. It's a very beautiful car and it drives wonderfully. I'm really really bummed about seeing it go but I just can't put anymore money into this right now.

Clean and clear title in hand. Car is located in New Orleans Louisiana. I really don't even know how much to ask for this. At the least it needs a head gasket.....3,500 firm??? I really don't know what this thing is worth to someone. My work is crazy so I'll try to answer any questions during 8-5pm but will definitely respond after work to any questions you guys may have

I have receipts for EVERYTHING.

Again, asking 3500. Thanks y'all. This was a great sub and I definitely want another C30 someday.

Cobb v3 tunes

Hey y'all. As I posted the other day, I'm a new owner of this car and it has a lot of tasteful mods one being an access port v3. I'm the third owner and the guy I bought this from really did not know everything this car had done to it, he just drove it as a little weekend fun car.

He told me it had 2 tunes, 1 was a 93 octane tune and the other was a e85 tune. After doing some digging on the v3, I've actually found a bunch of different tunes, none of which I can see is a e85... I've posted the available tunes and the last picture is the current tune that I'm running now.

My question is; is there anyway I can find out what these tunes are? Like boost pressures and such, and what mods they require? I see a few stratified custom ones on here as well as some stage 3 93 octane ones. I'm excited to learn about this thing.

The car runs absolutely amazing on the one I'm on currently which is the stage 2 93....I just really want to see if I can turn this up SAFELY. Thanks everyone......the pictures are what I found.

Hey everyone. New owner here.

What's up guys. I just purchased my 2017 fiesta st last week and it's the most fun I've had driving since my built foxbody notchback. I love it and I'm looking forward to learning all I can about the platform.

Just need to get this out. I'm sorry it's a long read....

Hello all. I'm at a major crossroad in my life and really need to just get this off my chest. I lost my job Monday over what I think is absolute bs. I don't know what to do or where to turn. I have no one in my life that I can talk to. I really have no friends and I only have two family members left and they've already told me to "call a hotline"

I am a recovering addict that has two years clean from heroin, fentanyl, alcohol and cocaine/crack....I would inject it. I had a very messy breakup 5 years ago in another state and had to move back to my childhood home. My mom passed away and left me and my brother the house. I lived with my ex for about 7 years and had that time clean from opiates. I was a heroin and cocaine addict before moving in with her and got clean from that while living with her.

The relationship was extremely toxic so I started drinking and became an alcoholic which ruined any chance of that relationship working so I moved back to my home state and back into my childhood home. While here I tried to stop drinking but I just wasn't strong enough and ended up back on heroin. Then it became fentanyl as it took over.

I got to the point where I realized I was done with getting high and ended up getting clean. (It was extremely difficult to do and was not an easy road)...but that's for another conversation. So I managed to get and stay sober, get my driver's license back, which had been suspended for 10 years, get a job, a car with insurance and everything seemed to be looking up.

So I had just made two years clean and sober, had a job, a car and was in a career I always loved and was thriving. The job was rough because right off the bat me and my boss butt heads. I'm not blaming anyone here, it just didn't work out and I ended up getting fired after a disagreement between him and me. I was devastated because I really tried very hard and got along with everyone else there except my boss. I loved what I was doing so I took the firing in stride and started immediately looking for another job.

A couple of weeks into the job hunt I got a call back from a place I applied to, did an interview and ended up landing the job. I was so excited because this was the kind of place I had been looking for and imagining always working at. This was 4 months ago. I did my job well, showed up early everyday and genuinely loved my life.

I work in automotive and the shop I worked at was an independently owned repair shop. I really don't want to give too many details here. Well anyways, I needed a timing belt for my car and I purchased all of my parts and asked the owner if I could get it done there at the shop. I believe this was my mistake, I should have left my personal vehicle out of the equation all together but am now only realizing this in retrospect.

The owner agreed and I had a technician who was not employed by the shop, but worked on the particular kind of car I have come after hours one night and do the job. He is sort of an independent contractor for the shop and would come in after hours and work on the customers cars that had my type of vehicle. I drive a European car that needs specialized tools and training to work on so my boss had this guy in his back pocket for any cars the same make as mine come and do the repairs they needed.

The technician that worked on my car messed something up and I developed an oil leak immediately after the job was done. I had been working at this place for 4 months, made it through my probationary period and genuinely loved what I was doing and where I was working. I went to my boss who was a master technician, and had been for over 40 years to look at my car and he said to call the tech that did the work back and have him come take a look at it.

I did exactly that, and the guy came back after work to look at it. There was a definite leak but we couldn't find exactly where it was coming from so he replaced what he thought was leaking then left. I drove the car home and noticed smoking from under my hood, popped the hood and the leak was still there.

For the next two weeks I would try to trace this leak down and periodically, my boss would come and help me. We never could find where the leak was coming from. Me and one of our top mechanics found something and we replaced the part. This was on a Thursday. I left the car there at work because we put a silicone sealant around that needed to dry overnight. So I got to work last Friday and took my car for a test drive and the oil leak was still there.

I was devastated about it, and had a panic attack and an emotional breakdown so I talked to my boss and left work early. I drove the car because it's still drivable, just leaking oil. I get to work Monday and my boss calls me into the break room where he tells me that it's not working out and I'm fired. I was shocked. I asked him to please say again because I thought I heard wrong. He says it's just not working out and he's terminating me immediately.

I was paralyzed with emotion and asked him what went wrong. He tells me that it's "cultural" and that I did not listen to instructions. I asked him to please give me an example and he lists one time he had to correct me from warning a customer about another shop. Basically I told the customer that she didn't want to take her car to that particular place and he heard me and corrected me and I corrected myself to the lady and said oh no they do great work.

That time and it being cultural are the reasons he told me. I think it's about the car and him not wanting to take responsibility for it because it looked like I may need another engine. I don't know. The owner is semi retired and having his son take over the business and so I texted him and politely asked him if he could give me a pink slip with the written reasons of my termination and I'm still waiting.

I'm devastated. I feel like my life is over and that I'll never work in this industry again because it's a small community here and everyone knows everyone else. I was given no warning, no "being talked to" about changing the behaviors that apparently were so egregious that I was fired on sight. I'm constantly thinking about relapsing, that my life is over and a lot of other really bad thoughts.

I have no one to talk to except my aunt, who I called and asked if she could just stay on the phone with me because I didn't feel safe and was told by her to call a hotline. I feel so alone and I've already applied to 4 places and of course I've heard nothing back. I have no other training or certification in anything else, this is all I know how to do and I do my job well.

I feel like climbing the tallest tower and just screaming until I pass out. I'm lost, alone, and have nowhere to turn or go. I don't know what to do. I'm at the end of my rope. I just needed to write this out somewhere and I'm sorry for it being so long.

The Greatest Ford Focus Ever Built

I just finished writing a long post on how frustrated I am with my car. Then, I remembered this. We really do have a special car. I hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I did.

I'm at my wits end. Long read.

Guy's I need some moral support here. I bought my c30 t-5 r design m66 in the beginning of March and I really didn't know or realize the rabbit hole of repairs I was getting myself into when I bought it. I really didn't know anything about the car except that I've never seen one around town and I really always really liked them so when I saw one come up for sale I jumped on it.

The seller stated that it was well maintained and the A/C blew ice cold "on the hottest of days".....keep in mind I'm in New Orleans where A/C is a must. I test drove the car around the block and it had some squeaks and rattles and the AC blew cold so I bought it. By the time I got home I realized I may have bit off more than I could chew. The rpm at idle was around 2k and there was a high pitched noise that I thought was a pulley going out.

After much research and doing the pcv suction test I realized it was the common pcv failure. I committed myself to fixing it so I got the OEM Volvo unit, with hose and dipstick o-ring. I had a good tech I knew that did side work do the repairs. While I was at it I bought the passenger motor mount, plugs, upper and lower hoses, t-stat housing and rear swaybar end links. After the repairs the car drove like a new car and I was so happy.

A couple of weeks later I noticed smoke from the under the hood and noticed a cracked coolant reservoir so I replaced that. Then I got the iPd torque mount and bracket and replaced that. I did a full paint restoration and purchased a new wheel moulding and front grille and had it custom painted. I refinished my Atrius wheels, sanded and polished the faces. I purchased a continental contitech timing belt kit with cam and crank seals, and transmission mount.

I'm having a Volvo foreman do that job but he keeps putting me off blowing me off with excuses. I've been trying to get it done for 2 months now. My check engine light came on and I'm like Jesus what now?? It was the intake vvt solenoid so I replaced that and cleaned the exhaust so that took care of the cel light. Now my air conditioner started blowing warm so I hook it up to the machine and the compressor is shot.

I'm really just tired and worn out with this car now.... it's been raining here everyday and of course I have water leaks inside the car. I cleaned out the sunroof drains and it's still leaking. Like the title says, I'm just at my wits end. It's my only car and transportation to work. I'm myself with no help from any family or anything and I just can't afford a new car. I'm already so invested in this it would be foolish to get rid of it and I wouldn't get anything for it anyway, maybe 4 grand.....I have an short throw shifter kit and rear diffuser coming from Alg performance....I'm just at a breaking point.

I'm so sorry for the book guys and thank you to anyone that got through to the end. Happy father's day to any dad's out there.

Sunday history lesson.

Happy mother's day everyone. I fixed an issue on my car and had to put a few miles on it and decided to come to the Chalmette battlefield. It's just something really cool we have here in our backyard. I took a field trip here in highschool but really wasn't interested in the history at that time but reading everything today and remembering all the men and women that lost their lives defending our home hit hard. I recommend anyone that is a history buff or just bored to come and check it out. It's free to get in and very peaceful and relaxing. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and again, happy mother's day to all our beautiful mommas out there.

Made off the same mold

First picture is our beloved Emby Mellay from Touch of Satan and the second picture is unbelievably another actress Vanessa Ferlito from the masterpiece Death proof ☠️☠️ I just think the resemblance is uncanny. When I first saw Touch of Satan I was certain that the actress from Death proof was her daughter. Thought I'd share.
