Super big fan of the human designs for Youkai and Fairy in the recent Jin mv
Especially Youkai, his design just scratches an itch for me (I also think its very funny how much he fails throughout the MV while fairy remains composed)
Less ZZZ related, but I also noticed that the mv had references to Yobanashi Deceive and Daze from Kagepro, which is probably one of the series Jin is mostly known for which was also nice!
The actual MV is here for anyone that hasnt seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL-anosD6FI
Very recently started trying out Vindicta and immediately learned what kind of stuff people will pull on you
I always thought "Yamato tether can't be THAT bad to deal with, right?" And got harassed to hell and back this match by her
After the second tether I thought "well at least its over" until I heard her ult and knew it was wraps LMAO
Edit: Before the 5th comment going again "Just buy dispel magic/use counterspell", you see. I forgot I had it until it was too late. whoopsie. This isnt a complaint post I just thought the lengths this yamato went to to murder me was funny
I hate Rudeus immensely
Im more than sure this is not the first nor will be the last post about this guy but I keep seeing him around and man he just sucks.
I usually see a lot of people talk about his past life as a reason to hate him, and yeah, but the thing is I can usually look past a character starting off as a pos if I enjoy their growth past it, or if they make for someone I can love to hate
Rudeus just...isnt though?? The way I described him before was as "A pervert background character that was somehow the main protagonist"
You have character like Mineta in MHA that people dont really like but he was, again, at least a side character
My time watching this show I thought "Man this guy sucks" ->"Hes actually learning his lesson and growing into a better person from his previous life even in his new child body, thats nice" -> "Man this guy sucks"
And like, I know character regression exists, I get that, but I just dont really get the punishment of him regressing.
At one point in the series, he gets erectile dysfunction, and after telling off accidentally a girl he liked, he straight up tries to stab himself on the street. The scene im talking about is actually probably one of my favorites, the swiftness that he pulls the knife to his throat only for it to get kicked away IMMEDIATELY by an ally was really great and sudden, he hit the worst point of his life and its clear
But after that moment I cant recall him actually like, changing from being just perverted. If anything he acts better when he was younger than when he grows older and even goes on to cheat on his wife just like his father in his new world did, and I just dont get the appeal of it
Obviously not everyone changes in good ways with age, but I dont find a protag that just seemingly gets worse particularly interesting and especially one without an actual goal I think is enjoyable to follow. I dont get what people ENJOY about the anime and this character!
I can see the appeal in villians who are awful, abusive people, but when the mc themselves is a cheating pervert without much redeeming qualities and isnt even fun to watch in a way that they suffer or get worse, whats the appeal of it?
Full transparency here, I did give the show a genuine try. I cant recall the exact episode I just...stopped finding it entertaining, but it was soon after Rudeus entered the academy arc and met someone else that had reincarnated into the world, I remember seeing him keep up his perverted antics to two girls and just went "alright thats enough"
Anyway can the studio drop this show and make a ruri rocks s2 or something
Overall funny enough I think I would be able to stand him much more if MT just marketed itself as a comedy more than anything, but it tries to take itself seriously, and it just doesnt work for me
Delete one card from the game for ANY reason, no matter how petty, which is it?
Was talking to someone about archetypes we hate fighting (she hates tempo forest as a dragon player) and wanted to ask others on what exactly they hate fighting in some classes
Starting with my own, probably Zooey, since there is no worse feeling than being stalled and chipped down while being unable to damage the opponent knowing for a fact they have an evo and erntz in hand ready to end your life the next turn
Started playing Sinclair JUST do to this to a paradox
Honest to god just started laughing so hard I cried while in vc with friends getting to hit this on someone. I might start actually playing Sinclair too they are just fun
Chances of them doing a togh keyoh based set for wb?
The aesthetic for it is right up my alley, I am kinda sad that we just get el from it as a BP leader but no actual set dedicated to it
Kaori is even a default leader and her story had released but evolve got it as a set, I really hope it comes over to wb eventually
Do abilities not knock people off ziplines?
I know for sure that shooting people do, but usually I dont actually manage to catch anone with an ability while they are ziplining, it didnt SEEM like they fell off but I was sure it was the same case
Started playing shiv recently
Repost since other one was taken down for not including images
Is there any character like shiv that lets you live an insane power fantasy
I started playing shiv recently and the thoughts that cross my mind mid match are
2 minutes: God Damn I dont feel impactful in lane and my aim is ass I should kms
8 minutes: ooh sinners
10 minutes: ooh boxes in mid
From there I either just Exist or my favorite: Get strong enough to absolutely murder the enemy team whenever we are in a tight area
Are there any other characters that just let you go absolutely insane on the enemy team if they arent careful? I either win a 1v6 with the enemy team or slightly misplay, die, and feel worthless
Not because I particularly want to switch off shiv since I cant really get better at aiming playing graves and rem all day, but because im kinda curious on what other characters let you go insane like this in the right conditions
Why IS dragon designed like this for achetypes?
I dropped wb a bit after the first set, came back for skybound dragons and have stayed since, but ever since I could swear the only archetype that dragon has had that was truly strong has just been ramp, am I misremembering or just forgetting something?
Like, discard was a thing, but even when it was around last set it needed fan to really do much, and I wasnt playing when disdain was relevant I believe
But since coming back it seems like ive seen different archetypes fully for other classes except dragon that just kinda falls into some variation of ramp?
For example portal of course has AF and egg, forest (had) combo and evo, abyss with evo and mode (kinda annoyed at how many decks were just evo) but the closest split I thought of for dragon ive witnessed was Fennie (which is literally just ramp into fennie into strong discounted followers) and Evo (which wasn't particularly good either and of course was just yet another evo deck)
It seems like they just have a problem committing fully to a separate playstyle for dragon other than ramping
Anyone else pretty dissapointed with AF this set?
Not to be negativity posting but it has me considering just going back to playing egg, at the end of last set it was super fun to make the different pieces and plan ahead, along with gundam, scarlet/myuu, or beta spam as different wincons depending on how long you expect the match to go
Managing handsize with fusing a bunch and preparing turn 5 copy spell with artifact catapult + yogg really felt fun to me
now though with catapult especially gone it really feels like you dont have enough generators to fuse into gundam, or even have much variety, and your gameplan is pretty much only scarlet/myuu now as finishers
chances are I might just not be understanding how to play it now, but I didnt realize how fun karula and especially catapult made AF fun to play for me until they were gone....well, at least until I decide to grind unlimited
tldr it feels like in terms of options AF got gutted and it makes me sad. maybe ill just play pawn or rally this set
What made loot sword fall off?
I remember it absolutely dominating for a time, but then at some point I could swear it just...stopped existing?
Was the nerf to the 1PP 3 damage + draw if fused really that bad for it? Or was it also a combination of losing albert?
The current meta seems like its slow enough to where sincero would do fine, so im kinda curious on if there are particular reasons
JP channels to watch?
Does anyone have a list of JP channels on yt, any decks work, I just know shadowverse in general is more popular there and want to expand the ones I check out
Does nangong count as hebe or loli, or are the two not mutually exclusive...?
This might sound like a silly question but I was generally wondering, since all the AoD don't seem small enough to me to fit comfortably into "loli" territory but seem closer to a teenage build which to my knowledge would fit under "hebe". Maybe im just getting my anime terms mixed up more. anyone who is a bigger weeb than me feel free to explain for me why or why not
This is my favorite designed card in the entire game
I seriously love this thing. Back when it dropped last expac I wanted to make AF work with it but just couldn't but it's really been shining for me
It gives a spell that allows you to combo so many things with each other (T7 Karula + dog into T8 scarlet into T9 scarlet + myuu) or just allow you to keep reusing gundam/scarlet as long as you have the foresight to hold onto it (a weakness of gundam being that you spend all match fusing into it and can only use it once otherwise, while not guaranteeing the board is clear on its arrival)
It feels like this singular dog can work with like 4 other cards to set up combos with. I have been falling in love with AF all over again after getting a handle on it more. on it's own it cant finish out games with storm or something but it can set up for other cards to and its very fun
Also hes just really cute and fluffy so art wise thats a plus
3.0 singlehandedly sold me on Cissia
So for context, ive played since launch, and am one of the types that preferred the old vibe of ZZZ more since launch (tv mode and all that yadda yadda you have heard it a billion times), but I still enjoy the game and have been coming back from time to time when I feel like it
I wasnt really big on later waifei patches and ended up skipping through it, and only really came back seriously for 3.0, and I have to say...Cissia fits the exact vibe I was looking for EXACTLY
Part of it is her goofiness but genuinely, I think her EN VA fits the character SO perfectly it elevates it. There are often talks in regards to how EN treats their VAs compared to JP in the industry and I usually only have on EN voices when I wanna listen along while doing something, but hers just makes me want to listen every time shes on screen
Character wise shes great too, her fighting against promeia despite very obviously being scared was great after I went back to see what I missed and shes just the kind of character I enjoy where shes clearly not perfect but flawed in a very charming way.
I think the ONLY aspect im not really sold on is her design, but honestly if we keep her the entire time through 3.0 I think I will have to lock in and get her on her rerun because shes just so charming, I love her
You think zooey will keep you safe?
Was playing casuals with friend and he just hit me with "DUDE" in all caps on seeing this board and I almost cried laughing
Expectations for first year anni?
I finally hopped on shadowverse with WB (after taking a break past launch until the gbf set. I still regret not getting el.) and have stuck with it since coming back, so I am super excited for the first anni for this game
So far, my expectations arent high, but it would be cool to see a big surprise
My main thoughts are:
- Chunk of pulls (if they just give out a bunch of intro cards ill fight someone at cygames myself)
- Nio in shop (since its been a year since the first BP, assuming they ever plan to make BP leaders available again, I THINK Nio was the first BP leader...?)
- Larger set size (This meta has overall been pretty decent but since we lost a bunch of cards, not much better time to make a bigger set than with anniversary)
Unlikely thoughts:
- New class/abyss split (I know they introduced portal a year into OG shadowverse, but I cant really see them doing the same here considering abyss' existence, unless they just thought the identity and aesthetics between the two was too close...? Either way we would need a REALLY big set for it I think)
Lobby tournaments will really have you encountering cards you have never seen in your life
Who The FUCK is Rayvn the silver bullet. this is not a real card and I have never seen a single soul play or mention this lmao??
