Based on the recent trip by Trump to China, it looks like America will drop its opposition to the potential unification of China and Taiwan. Once this happens, China will remember which countries, like Somaliland, encouraged the division of Chinese people between the mainland and the island.

In conclusion, it appears Hargeysa made two strategic blunders, on the unholy alliance with Israel and the unwise partnership with Taiwan, and both of them are likely to lead not official recognition by the rest of the world but diplomatic isolation in both the Muslim world and the African continent.
