A pretty cool pickup for me.

I was going through stuff and noticed how insanely good this book looks

All the pics I have at the moment. I will get better ones when I can.

So i just scored this Technics SL-5300 at an estate sale today. Based off my quick online research I believe I got a great deal.....$40. Anyways, all it needed was a headshell/cartridge because the needle was broke. I happened to have one at home that worked with this setup. My question would be....Is this the corret cartridge? Are there better options? I'm still a beginner with this hobby so please forgive me with all the simple questions.

Maybe after a clean/press?

It looks so good despite the flaws....disappointing.

I have a thing for this book and the Superman vs Amazing Spider-Man Treasury. I try to find the best looking ones possible. Most of them are usually in terrible condition.

I see the ticks on the spine but overall it's pretty clean.
