Sub where you can ask who made a certain art piece?

r/whatisthisart is unfortunately dead, so it won't be able to help me, and r/whatisthispainting is only for paintings. Both are from the directory.

I'm trying to find an artist that made me a traditional drawing of two of my characters. I was going to ask them if I could upload their art to Toyhouse, but I don't have access to the discord server that they posted their art in because it's either missing or deleted. Any ideas?

Anyone else send hidden/deleted characters to a "rest in peace" folder?

I don't know if this is weird or not but I like to think of it as remembering good times

lesbian memorial is for my three favorite characters who got removed by the way

Just for fun, I put all of the lyrics of a google translated song into the "AI." I find it funny how only one person knew the reference (Hamilton google translated) and everyone else was so confused.

YOU. CAN. LOG. IN. TO. NEW. YORK!

AITJ for stealing my stones back and throwing everyone responsible into a fantasy realm?

I (23M) collect stones across the galaxy from a planet killer, let's just call it E. E destroys everything in its path. Planets, asteroids, you name it. And (almost) every time it destroys a planet, a new stone with mysterious powers is made. If you can't tell, I'm a big superfan of E, so I had to get five of its stones for myself. But then I learned that a lowly restaurant stole ALL FIVE OF MY STOOONES! I then proceeded to kidnap one of their so-called "heroes" and take all their stones from them, because NO ONE MESSES WITH THE PLANET KILLER! After a little back-and-fourth (wait, does back-and-fourth have dashes? I'm gonna say yeah.) with the stones, I finally managed to throw them into a fantasy realm where everything they want comes true. Im even planning on sending E to kill their lousy little planet as revenge and turn it into another stone of power. So yeah, AITJ and please don't say yes or I'll send E after you, too.

Possibly a hot take: Not every monster needs to be "hearable" or "useful."

I'm tired of people saying "oh, I hate Flasque on Crystal Islet because you can't hear it!" or "You can't hear Uuduk on Bone Island!" or "Tring needs to do more, it's a quad!"

Have any of you listened to music before? There's a lot of little "details" in music most people miss. One of my favorite examples of this is in a song called Lost Memory Reprise. Before the whole guitar part, most people usually only hear the surface memory, but listening deeper, you can hear a flute that goes absolutely WILD. Doesn't it remind you of Magical Nexus's Floot Fly at all? When you first listen to it, you listen to Cantorell, but when you listen to it more, you can hear Floot Fly. Doesn't mean Floot Fly isn't important.

And what's more, "useless" music isn't actually "useless," as they're all put in the song for a reason. Pinghound is a great example for that. People dismiss Pinghound as a useless monster that shouldn't be on mythical island, but I disagree. Mythical Island isn't Mythical Island without Pinghound's "bing." Pinghound isn't my favorite monster, but you can't deny that one simple, small noise can change a whole song.

Now, I'm not saying that volume (or even placement) isn't a problem. Sometimes it is, like with Bowhead on Space Island. But that's because Bowhead was supposed to be more on the forefront, not the background. Now compare that to Flasque on Crystal Islet. Flasque is supposed to be in the background? Why? To hide the ringing noise that comes after that only makes sense when it's an individual. You can also see a similar thing happen with Calamity Island from The Lost Landscapes. Stogg is barely hearable and only serves as a small melody, but if you look at the individuals, it's way more than it actually is. Flasque also needs to be quieter to support Gaddzooks and Boodoo without actually being at the forefront and cluttering everything. Now, sure, I would appreciate if Flasque were *a little* louder, but that's only by a little and isn't that big of a deal.

I'm even making an island called Plasma Legacy to prove this point. In the song, Sooza is basically unbearable, yet carries a LOT, and most of the monsters like shLep, Thumpies, and Whaill don't actually do much, yet add a lot to the song.

In short, *every monster is useful, whether you see it or not.*
