@ all the Samara supporters and people who think it's forgivable and justifiable to like racist videos because they think stereotype of street food being unhygienic is true

Yall are weird asf and if you're truly against racism, stop supporting racist people.

Lara has to deal with an extreme amount of excused racism since her debut. Even before then. Ezreala as well. On top of that Samara posted that video. She was still allowed to debut and is infact supported.

A lot of people excuse this by saying since Lara follows her, it's mended. No one ever considers that she might've done this to smooth things over and keep the peace. Something I have seen a lot of South Asians and other POC do to lessen drama and backlash. I could very well see her being afraid of backlash and getting more hate from Samara stans and more racism. People in the company could have also pressured her to since they knew they might debut Samara. I wouldn't downplay that theory considering the racist tendencies of HYBE.

I also need static views. I have see way to many people speak out against East Asian hate but tolerate or even participate in South Asian hate. I have spoken with people IN THIS SUB who support Manon and call out the racism against her but excuse the racism against Lara, or Samra's actions. I find it morally inconsistent that people can acknowledge and recognize the marks of racism/biogtry, even speak about the effects and emotional harm it causes but turn around and have the audacity to proudly commit the same behavior.

I don't care if there are only a handful of people that are South Asian and recognize this behavior and I don't care if there's only a handful of people that recognize the hypocrisy. I will continue standing up for my people, calling out objectively wrong behavior, and trying my best to make young brown girls feel safe and supported in spaces like these.

The little girl in me who has experienced excused racism throughout her life also grew up loving kpop and popstars. I would imagine I'm not the only one.

EDIT: I do not believe only Lara should be defended. I do not condone racism against Manon or have a problem with the support she has and I am a supporter as well. I am NOT comparing racism. I am NOT mentioning Manon because I think racism against her is okay. I am calling out the hypocrisy in people who are against racism against one ethnic group but condone racism against another. That is objectively wrong. Stop trying to spread narrative and read my posts carefully.

EDIT 2: Never have I see so many people blatantly excusing racist behavior and being flippant about it. Especially on this sub. A stereotype is racist. The video fueled anti indian hate. The COMMENTS? The comments under the video she liked were pure racist hate speech and vitriol. What's your excuse at that point? I don't know why you guys keep saying it's just ignorance or prejudice when it's not, it's racist. Also it doesn't change the fact that it's fucked up and was hurtful? And that me holding her accountable and not thinking she should debut doesn't mean she's victim? There is no grayness in this situation. She hasn't even apologized.

Im done responding to comments. I think it's clear today a lot of you will excuse anything or hold different standards. A lot of you have straight up said "its just funny or its true!" I think its clear you guys are racist af and you need to do some reflection
