As above, my hospital system is transitioning to EPIC but not paying for any of the advanced features because they think that I'm omniscient. Anyone want to share their favorite EPIC dot phrases for the greater good?
For example, I recently learned about cardiac myosin inhibitors for HOCM, mavacamten and aficamten "-camtens" that are recommended to be held for 3 weeks and 1 week prior to major surgery, respectively.
Edit: I'd also love to see only generic med names in the chart. Aficamten was listed as it's trade name, which is even harder to identify.
Some lots of this SKU have third party testing with phenolics >400. Is this a good buy? If not, why not?

I (48 yo man, 180 lbs) work mostly on my feet in my 2 yo Doc Martens. The collar is fraying but the sole is pristine. Partly caused by odd fit - for my arch to match the shoe's arch, there is a gap at my heal. I encounter this in most shoes, so switching isn't really a solution.
Can I replace the interior of the shoe from collar to heal and place a dense felt under the new interior material to reduce motion and collar wear? Or is this a lost cause?

Gefen beets used to be good, but I quit buying them ~2023 because half of the packages are brown and oxidized. Refrigerated "Love Beets" were great but aren't sold now. Has the Gefen quality improved?

As above, I bought a 1940s house in the Midwest (clay soil) and the basement walks would bow inward despite appropriate exterior draining. Company recommended interior French drain (terra cotta footer draining likely collspsed) and carbon fiber strapping.
Straps were installed when the CMU walls were very bowed, now when walls straighten there are gaps in the straps in the middle of the walls. Straps are attached to wall with resin and don't appear to have slid. The cycling feeds a cycle wall cracking.
Are there benefits to placing new straps with the walls straight that would inhibit the bowing? Or is there just a lot of energy associated with the clay swelling that needs a place to go? I have walls torn out now, so it would be a good time to do so...
Anyone familiar with such a program for undergrad premeds to volunteer in the OR? I thought that Iowa or Kansas had a program but I can't find any online.
We're not alone in being short on anesthesia techs and need trainable people who can follow directions. I see undergrads at our highly regarded associated University volunteering with... transport. It seems that they could be of service and also find something more stimulating than pushing stretchers.
