Progress

First one is June/July. Second one is September. I hit a plateau in September didn’t workout for a month. However before the plateau I was hip thrusting 75lbs dumbbells. I would say what’s working for me:
• Frog Pumps
• Kickbacks
• Hip Thrust
• Globet Squats
• Deadlifts
I think it’s difficult trying an entire workout in a day or two that’s my biggest challenge. I like to get in and out of the gym. Getting rid of the stubborn muffin top/hip dips. Really shaping the sides of the glutes. It’s coming get together gradually.

Confusion ?

Hey,

I’ve worked with a few therapist for a couple of years now. I’ve really learnt about anxiety and depression through DBT/CBT modalities.

However I feel that I’m struggling in interpersonal aspect. Unfortunately it didn’t workout with one therapist because she tried to teach me humility in a way I wasn’t grasping. Basically trying teach me that my life is only good or better if people I don’t want are in it.

Now I’m biracial, still struggling with identity issues. That I don’t feel helped with and don’t feel that I’m creating the life I want. It’s unfortunately affecting my financial circumstances or my financial character.

I have therapist, a therapist which I like very much. However I could only afford to see her biweekly and sometimes 45mins isn’t enough.

My question is can a person have exceptional mental health without a community and still feel belonging ? Is this a choice ?

Juicing Advice /Guideance

Hey Ya’ll 👋🏼

I started Juice once a week for skin care , anti-inflammation and recovery. I got this cheap juice and a blender. I get my vegetables from food pantries therefore I don’t have much options what type of vegetables that I get. I’m learning that juicing does wonders for the skin.

Problem that I’m running into is it comes out more like a cold press rather than a thick juice. I’m struggling to get the juice just right and matching the right vegetables and fruits.

Lessons of Being First Year Business Owner in New York

Throughout the past year I’ve learned numerous lessons pertaining to being a business owner and making lemonade. It’s not fun and it’s not what you think it’s going be when you first start out. Especially if you don’t have the financial capital to start up.

Lesson One:
Be aware of your endgame, know how long your going run the business and how you want to exit the business.

Lesson Two:
Society isn’t going just let you run your business however the fuck you want. Your going run into difficulties getting started up if you don’t start in the community you’re already in.

Lesson Three:
Getting your foot in the door pertains to marketing and advertising. When you’re first starting up and don’t have hundreds of doors to throw away, you’ll waste money. It’s cycle of promotion. Some give up, some don’t.

Lesson Four:
Operations and Marketing is a balance, you can’t run marketing and get consumer base if you don’t have a steady system of operations.

Lesson Five:
Seeking Public Resources, Public resources are constantly going be trying figure out what your business does for communities. However if your capitalist you fund start up cost yourself, it’s much easier to go Private Owned. Private Ownership is much harder however much more rewarding if you really know what you’re doing.

Lesson Six:
You’ll never know when you’re really going get paid, starting payroll w-2 employees prematurely will really get you fucked and stuck in unwanted debt.

Lesson Seven:
If your Black or Hispanic person Society is going give you a huge problem and roadblocks if your not deemed or labeled “Minority Owned” for government contracts. Which then prolongs your business development.

Lesson Eight:
If you’re not doing something for “your people” it’s a problem. Early on, learn who or where that is for you and be mindful because society will really throw hundreds of roadblocks at you if you don’t have this figured out.

Lesson Nine:
Blogs usually make it seem starting a business is easy, it’s really not and you could do it in a few steps. False. You have to learn your market, learn your supplies, learn you scope of work or product, learn marketing, learn advertising, learning some accounting, learn bookkeeping, then you have to decide which business products are ideal for your specific type of business.

Lesson Ten:
Nobody is ever going actually give a fuck about your feelings, how much you’ve went through, or your time. Sad truth most business owner don’t give a fuck.

Lesson Eleven:
Take accountability for your mistakes and correct them whenever you really can.

Good Luck 🍀

Hi I’m currently seeking a really good Therapist in Brooklyn or Manhattan budget $100-$175 if self-paying. That does have experience working with people of color.

Any recommendations would be really amazing.
