DNS DuDu & Clozer talks about DNS' strengths

Prince: Even throughout the struggles, is there any strengths or in-game details you want your fans to recognize? You can talk about drafting as well.

DuDu & Clozer: ............................................................................................................................... (6 seconds)

CloudTemplar: It's hard to think one on the spot. Right?

DuDu: Yea kind of hard to think one on the spot. I need to think about it.

(Edited out seconds of fluff)

Clozer: I personally haven't given up. I still think DNS can get to 8th place in rounds 3 and 4. I think that could be our strength.

*8th place (Rise Group 3rd place) can get you into play-ins for playoffs. Current 8th place is KRX with a 5-13 record. DNS is 10th place with a 1-17 record. 8 more games left for each team in round 3-4.

TheShy: Background of his injury in 2018

**WARNING** There is a massive scar on the arm in the second and third pictures. Not too graphic though.

I am writing this post because I have seen various people over the years mocking, joking, and memeing about TheShy taking breaks. I realized that most of those people didn't know about his major car accident he had back in 2018. Just wanted to give a short breakdown since a lot of people don't know about it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2018 LPL spring split, IG finished with an 18-1 record with 37-5 set score. Despite IG was using Duke as a sub, TheShy played most of the games and his set score with IG was 32-2 with a 94.1% win rate.

However, TheShy got into a major car accident that almost ended his life (not really much detailed information on the accident itself). Luckily his life wasn't taken away but his arm was in serious condition as the doctor told him that he might not be able to use his arm for the rest of his life. After surgery, he was lucky enough to use his arm but a lot of its capabilities were very limited. Because of the accident, TheShy was able to get Wartime Labor Service status for his military service which is one stage short of exemption, which means that he doesn't have to do any military service and training but he is on the list for being summoned in times of national emergency for a military support role. Getting that status from the Korean military tells you how serious the injury is as the Korean military is very strict on giving those out.

Things TheShy has said over the years about the injury:

  • I could have died right there. I feel very lucky that I am still alive.
  • During 18 Worlds, my injury was really bad and I couldn't do many basic daily tasks with my arm. Even in 2019, I couldn't open a water bottle on my own and my teammates had to help me with that.
  • (Said in 2022) I still have a hard time working out because I can't really apply strength in my arm.
  • I always try to wear an arm sleeve to not show my scars to the public
  • I feel lucky that my injured arm is my mouse hand instead of my keyboard hand.
  • (Said some time after he won Worlds) Whenever I think about the accident, I feel like I want to cry. Because I can't do some of the plays I used to do anymore.

After rehabilitation, TheShy came back for summer split and had a set record of 14-3. Duke played more games than TheShy for that split. And as you all know, IG wins Worlds for the 2018 year with IG's and TheShy's dominant performance.

There is no statement on why TheShy took breaks in 24 and 26, but many believe it is because of his injury.

Some people still say that TheShy's prime is actually his 2017 year even though he didn't qualify for Worlds. TheShy may be one of the biggest "what if" in the pro league scene as we can imagine if he never got injured.

Peyz's POP messages

Anybody noticed I escaped with Ryze ult using blast cone?

It was intentional

I am him

But I was surprised that it actually worked

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reason I wall flashed

I turned on my portable fan for game 5 but it turned off mid-game and my hand started to sweat

If the fan didn't turn off, I wouldn't have wall flashed

(Peyz has sweaty hands so he uses portable fan for that reason)

Is there a unique fixed loot table for lower Kurast map seeds? (single player)

I was looking for a good lower Kurast map seed online and it kinda hinted that there are some kind of fixed loot table for a specific seed. Just wanted some clarification. Because I prefer random loot.

If there is some kind of fixed loot, is it the same case for every map seed I naturally generate?

Showmaker Reacts to DK Fan's Criticism/Backseat Gaming

A DK fan wrote two posts on Showmaker's streaming page.

The frustrated fan wrote the posts in a tough love tone being a bit spicy so it is not really some malicious message. Just read it for fun and don't take it too seriously.

I will use ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ whenever they laugh. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ = lol

---------------------------------------------------------------------

(Reading post title)

Showmaker: "Hey Showmaker. How many early games have you ruined because you got ganked"ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Showmaker: What is this? This is my first time reading posts here

Showmaker: Alright. I will take this seriously and start reading the whole thing

(Lucid, Siwoo, Career, and Smash all gather around Showmaker and starts reading with him)

Post:

Just because Lucid carries the team, you think you dying like that is not really a problem?

You said in an interview that you prefer plays that waste enemy junglers' time by playing around with their ganks. Their junglers are not even risking their jungle pathing and just succeed in ganking you. Is that what you were referring to?

You don't gain any advantage out of that. You take mid pick as DK's first pick and then you get ganked and you ruin early game. How many games do we have to see DK clawing back into the game from behind?

Career: Who is this fucker?

Post:

What Faker did in the past was waste enemy jungler's time while not dying. That's how you do it.

You lose all your HP and forced to recall. You get killed. Forced to waste your flash. Are those the plays you were referring to when you said you want to waste jungler's time?

Showmaker & Smash: ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Siwoo: (Silent smile)

Post:

So many years under your belt and you still can't play around ganks. Does it make any sense? Why are you going in deep without flash? You felt the game was unfair because only the enemy jungler came to mid? How can you feel the game was unfair when you couldn't even control lane well because you shove lane against a melee champ without even thinking?

Enemy melee champs struggle when you poke him with your AA and skills when they try to cs, or you should try to shove a big wave towards him and torture him that way.

You don't know how to handle yourself vs melee champs. Don't you? Like against Sylas or Fizz.

You guys already had dragon stacks with a winnable comp and our jungler was scoring at a different lane. Then you decided to shove lane and die. You think that was the correct play?

Also, your Viktor lacks spacing and I don't see any component that is close to perfection.

You do realize that when there is an assassin in the enemy team, you should be buying Zhonya's or Hermes for defense no matter how fed you are. Otherwise you are gonna get sniped. Why are you buying only damage dealing items when you are ahead with Taliyah and your team is expecting you to make plays? Don't you realize how efficient defensive items are? You lose efficiency if you only keep buying offensive items. Just surviving and using another round of skills is much more beneficial.

Smash: Hyung. He said your spacing is disappointing. He can't see any perfection from your plays. You gotta improve. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Showmaker: Cmon. Let's 1vs1 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ go 1vs1ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Career: What is up with this guy?

Lucid: Out of all the posts, only this guy is raging

Showmaker: This guy is a true fan

Showmaker: Yo. This guy is posting his diary here.

(reads post 2)

Post 2:

AD Mid Tier List

Sion

Irelia, Jayce, Naafiri, Tristana, Yone

Qiyana, Zed, Riven, Akshan, Quinn, Aatrox, Viego, Renekton

Jax, Kayle, Gangplank, Sett

Tryndamere X

Showmaker: He finished his post telling me not to play Tryndamere ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Showmaker: You guys can post anything here. It's okay. I myself trash talk football players when I watch football.

Lucid: The same guy wrote me a post as well ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Showmaker: Did he really? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

(Reads title)

Showmaker: "How to change DK's fate with drafting" ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Siwoo: I wonder if I have one as well

Lucid: He is telling us how to draft. Even leaving a message "Lucid Fighting"

Career: I think he is your fan

Lucid: He is a true analyst

Showmaker: Thanks for giving us attention and interest.

I am confused on the Asian Games Korean Roster Drama

This is part of the statement explaining how KeSPA selected their AG roster.

Final roster was chosen based on:

(1) Gameplay review

(2) Statistics

(3) Team's direction

(4) Roster composition

What I am confused is that why are most people making their point based on the assumption that KeSPA decided the roster based on statistics alone?

Because number 1, 3, 4 are not based on stats and there are a lot of subjective elements when deciding things on those components.

Even Arnold is going ham and making most of his points only about statistics.

Can someone explain it for me? I am just confused.

I only translated questions related to the trade

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How did you feel when you found about the trade?

The GM, coach, and I talked about it. It felt like a situation that I could understand but not understand at the same time. I understood the part where they wanted a change, but I didn't think it would be me. But even if I get traded, I had the mindset that I would still be playing and I tried to cope that situations like these can happen. Of course I didn't feel good about it since I got the feeling that I was being pushed out. In the end, I just had the mindset "Okay. Let's pull myself together and do well."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding your message on pop, in what spirit did you write that?

(Taeyoon's pop message in the link below)

https://www.reddit.com/r/PedroPeepos/comments/1szsbtz/when_everyone_only_focus_on_one_side_taeyoon_pop/

One of the reasons why I started pop was to communicate well with my fans. But the actual main reason was because it was fun for me. After I heard the trade news, I needed time to process the whole thing so I didn't write anything on pop that day. So on the next day, I felt like I had to tell my fans what's going on.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How did you say your farewells with your teammates?

My hyungs (older brothers), aka teammates, heard the news around the time I heard it. Based on what I know about my hyungs, they probably would be thinking that I was getting the short end of the stick because of themselves. So that's why I jokingly told them that I always wanted to play with Kellin to ease the mood. I just didn't want them to be concerned about this whole thing. I am sure they were all surprised about this news.

Also, I never had a phone conversation with Lehends before. He just called me out of nowhere for the first time haha. I kind of didn't know what to do in that situation of two guys talking over the phone.

When the trade news broke out, that's when I realized that I already grew closer with my hyungs and Sponge even though we only have been together for 4 months. But we can always see each other some other time. Maybe at a higher stage.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any message to your special Lehends?

I don't know if he would even watch this interview. He only watches food related videos. Lehends is definitely the weirdest dude I have ever seen. But he is hilarious. I like him as a hyung. I learned a lot from him especially in bot lane matchups. We were at the stage where things started clicking between us, so it is a shame that our journey ended abruptly. Let's get something to eat when we can. We can keep having a chill relationship. Let's meet up at a higher stage. Fighting.
