Share your convention attendance + baptisms for 2026. Which country are you in?

What was the attendance and baptisms number at your convention? I’m trying to get an idea of percentage growth in certain regions. I want to see if they’re in line with what happened last year. I’m kinda expecting the end of the 2020s to be quite a bit tougher for the organisation as a larger consortium of boomers die.

“For the Watch Tower Society and local congregations, these figures carry significant weight. Higher baptism ratios relative to overall attendance often reflect vigorous door-to-door and public evangelism efforts, particularly in developing nations across Africa, Latin America, and parts of Asia. Conversely, lower figures in Western nations are monitored by researchers studying secularization trends and retention rates among young people raised within the faith. Ultimately, these numbers highlight both the personal commitment of individual converts and the broader demographic shifts within the global movement.”

When will your congregation age out?

Is your congregation at risk of aging out? There’s a lot of talk on this subreddit about a collapse… it won’t come however, I think most agree we’re seeing a dwindling of numbers… slowly but surely.

This is pretty obvious as they merge halls and decrease their quantity despite “seeing many new members” in developed nations.

So what gives? What does your congregation look like and is it healthy or dwindling? What’s the likelihood it’ll merge in the next decade?

What changes must the organisation make to survive the 21st century?

As society secularises we all are interested to see how religion metastasises into something that can survive the 21st century. Over the last few years they’ve attempted a few things like dress and grooming changes plus no hour reporting.

Yet, despite these aesthetic and procedural shifts, the elephant in the room remains their stance on LGBTQ+ issues. Gen Z and Millennial members are increasingly unwilling to compromise on human rights and inclusivity. The organization’s strict condemnation of same-sex relationships and gender non-conformity acts as a massive accelerator for the youth exodus.

This of course has many people wondering whether the key for religions to survive the 21st century in the west is their willingness to move away from such condemnation, allowing such a controversial thing to be solely up to the conscience.

Young adult/teenager POMOs/PIMOs, how many young people that you grew up with have left the organisation?

Young adult/teenager POMOs/PIMOs, how many young people that you grew up with have left the organisation?

Young adult/teenager POMOs/PIMOs, how many young people that you grew up with have left the organisation? Is it many? What’s the percentage if you have it?

How many young ones are left within the congregation you grew up in? Thanks.

I’m asking this after wondering if my experiences in the circuit I attend which has quite a low number of young ones is universal or just an experience in my circuit which is rather a rarity.

Am I going crazy?

I see many mention that the grappling is unchanged from UFC 5 but I seem to notice that there are some new smoother animations.

Why they move so slow despite knowing they must adapt…

Most recognise that the organisation is facing a severe demographic squeeze in their future… aging congregations with low retention make their long term future very speculative…

I think the most interesting thing to note is that progress is slow because:

Why would a 91, 85, 82 and 77 year old care about the organisation’s long term health. The GB is stacked with people who are not going to see the organisation face the worst of the demographic/financial squeeze.

That’s why I believe that in 10 years time they’ll start making more rapid and radical changes. When those 60 year old GB members are confronted with “adapt or things are going to get exponentially harder for you by the end of your life…” things will get interesting.

“In 30 years you’re going to have a demographic crisis on your hand which will harm your ability to finance your business.” to a 91/85/82/77 year old means absolutely nothing.
