stance on special/secret flairs?

Hi, admin that you probably forgot existed here.

Since the creation of the subreddit, I have been silently handing out special flairs to people who complete hidden tasks on the subreddit, like joining before a certain milestone, being a top contributor, making a post about a specific subject, or just commenting on one of my posts I make here, because I like to hand them out on ALL of my posts. (including this one)

It's my little obsession. I like the idea of handing out small digital treats when people make me laugh, or do something cool. I've seen many people do have a small amount of interest in this endeavor (and one person with a LOT of interest), but I think I should take a moment and reflect on how people actually feel about it.

I know the vast majority of you don't care, but for those who do, what do you think? Are there any flairs you think should exist? Should they only be available by special request and not by just sticking them on random people? Should I shed some light on how to obtain some of these mysterious flairs? or should I just scrap the idea altogether and let people write their own....

Regardless, none of this really matters and it's just a silly thing I like to do when I'm on this sub. I think it's fun, and the flairs don't have any kind of impact. unlike on r/SkyChildrenofTrading (shameless plug)

Any other questions or comments, related or unrelated to this post, are welcome.

current fastest way to gain player exp?

I want to get all of the achievements for this game before it shut down, and I've been playing again since I heard, just hit level 12. are there any specific tracks in the current rotation that are better for getting exp? is there anything else I should do to boost the amount I get?

I have 2 questions for the community

  1. I plan on eventually making a new subreddit guide, as the old one is extremely outdated and contains false information. in this guide I would like to include a "community standard exchange rate" to help new traders know what a fair price is.

So my question for you is, what do you think is the ideal heart to dollar ratio for trades? does it depend on other circumstances? what other advice would you give to new traders?

  1. I'm interested in knowing if the community thinks it's a good idea to leverage community highlights to allow people to pay in order to have their post pinned to the top of the subreddit for a certain amount of time, so you no longer need to repost to maintain visibility and many more people see your post in general.

Is this a good idea? What would you be willing to offer for something like this, if at all?

It feels good to see the community thriving so much, when I never even expected r/SkyChildrenofRage to take off like it did, and then this subreddit took off even harder. I really appreciate hie kind all of you are. I honestly thought there would be a flood of scammers and rude people and I've seen almost none.

Any other feedback is appreciated.

mod application

I made another post like this a long time ago, but I never really went through with it, but trade verification has become a lot more popular recently and I could use a hand.

Ideally, I am looking for someone who;

  1. Has verified at least 2 trades (+ being familiar with the system)

  2. Actually knows how to use reddit (tough ask, I know)

  3. Is active during the early morning (My timezone is CST, so if you're active between 4 AM to around noon, this would be ideal so at least 1 mod is always active)

none of these are strict requirements, but the more you have, the better.

This job isn't just to help with verification, I'm also looking for someone who could potentially help me innovate the system, to make it easier, faster, and less confusing, and also introduce new ideas to the subreddit. But not required.

2 ppl needed to get "way of the sword" achievement

"The way of the sword", from testing, seems to require a public match to obtain. 4 players are required, and my friend is already helping me.

2 more players are required for a public match to start. joining players will recieve assistance for any other multiplayer achievement.

thanks

is there anything I can do to get into my quest 2 without tearing it apart

I bought a used quest 2 online, unable to be factory reset.

when inside the bootloader, the volume down button can be used to cycle between all options, looping back to the first after reaching the last.

when confirming if I'd like to factory reset, the volume up and volume down buttons both do nothing. the only thing I can do is select "No, go back" using the power button.

The previous owner's account is still on the quest 2, and there is a passcode. I tried guessing many times and failed. I contacted the seller and they do not know the passcode.

I tried to update the headset and it fails because it is already at or above the current software version. I tried using the official meta software update tool and adb commands on windows, using an update from cocaine.trade.

I tried using adb to factory reset. developer mode is disabled.

I tried using adb to simulate the button press of the seemingly broken volume up button. developer mode is disabled.

the cost to repair the volume up button is more than what I paid for the headset.

I do not have the tools nor expertise to repair it.

what can I do?

previous post for context https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/s/4PKqhKaj39

I'm trying to update my quest 2 to the current update. when using the official software update tool, it either updates partially through and then stops or doesn't work at all.

I used cocaine.trade to download an install an update manually, connected my quest to my laptop via usb, and used adb to install the update. but every time the update reaches exactaly 47%, my quest 2 restarts and goes to the login screen.

I bought a quest 2 online that I'm having trouble factory resetting because in the bootloader, when scrolling down to the factory reset option, the ability to navigate the menu using the volume button is disabled, but only when confirming to factory reset. everything else works.

I can't use the app or the website because the previous owners account is still on it, and I don't have the passcode.

I just bought a quest 2 with an issue of being unable to factory reset. in the bios menu when attempting to select the factory reset option, it does nothing. I'm able to scroll through the menu with the volume down button but when I select the factory reset option, I'm unable to scroll anymore.
