Democratic Belgium: I am unable to withstand the german assault more than 3 or 4 months every damn time

They always assault Antwerp, the coast and Turnout with overwhelming force. Everytime I hold up Bruges pretty well, but they assault and assault and assault

Forts are quickly useless since they get hammered down during the assaults and I can't repair them as long as they have the initiative...

As for anti air, as show in my templates I have them in my units models as well as 5/5 anti air units in every state. However they seem to have been nerfed somewhat compared to previous versions as the german air force is rampaging through my states and army... overall turtling seems way more difficult than in the past.

The organization that german units maintain is disheartening. They attack repeatedly, though seem not to suffer any damange organization wise. Their panzers are a nightmare.

I feel like I cannot do better industry wise than what I did, and I would not be able to produce in time enough tanks to counter, while maintaining anti tank and anti air and artillery in the forces.

And finally never have I had so many problems with the front mechanic. This fucking AI is sending troops all the time in the wrong tiles and depleting stressed out sectors, so much so that each time it was a dumb redeployement that led to the decisive attack by the germans. Perhaps should I go ultra micro, and assign one tile to defend for each goup of units to stop this fuckery?

The congolese units arrived around july but it wasn't enough to stem the tide.

HOW DO YOU DO IT?

You can think, write about class, race, age, demographics, regions, urban/rural etc all you want, there is one metric that acts as the great divider and the great explainer of so much of the politics of this country in this day and age:

Evangelicals vs Everyone else

Remove them from the electorate and the US overton window and political gravity center instantly shifts to somewhere between Britain and Sweden. Free market economics and strong democratic and anti-corruption institutions.

Their views on social, on economics (prosperity gospel), their conspirational view on so many aspects of life, their gulllibleness, their apocalyptic view of foreign affairs especially in the middle east etc etc are so outlandish compared to the rest of the population that they singlehandedly push the discourse towards the far right because they are 30% of the population and are so far gone - as in other countries, such as South Korea, Brazil and others.

This has been a fight between the protestant evangelicals and everyone else for the soul of this country since the end of the XXth century.

But because religious freedom is so embeed in the US' DNA, it has been impossible to fight back for the Democratic Party, and "define the ennemy" as right wingers love to say, quoting some Schmitt. And so they have been locked into adressing the fight tangentially which proved ineffectual in the long run.

Yet, alongside ultramontanists and the russia orthodox church, they are to christianity what ultra orthodoxes are to jews, islamists are to muslims or hindu nationalists are in India. Religious zealots whose world view and intolerance can only lead to civil strife sooner or later.

Absolutely useless synday ramblings

I would love it to feature three statues, one for the Admiral, one for the Big Fundamental and one for Pop.

But I was also thinking about how this focus on world basketball, on what international talent has brought to this very texan city in terms of openess to the world and international exposure.

I would love to see an alley with american and lone star flags, which would also permanently feature the flag for every country that has a player with at least 500 regular season games played for the spurs, that is, around 6 seasons.

It would fit into the culture and be a tiny but neat hommage to what has brought the spurs to where they are today in the NBA, one of its blue-blood franchises.

Voila
