An alley from my game
I'm making a PSX-inspired game with modern rendering
I wanted to make a walking simulator that combines the atmosphere of PSX visuals with modern rendering.
Since lighting is a major part of the game's mood, UE5 felt like the right fit for the project. great UE5's lighting tools allowed me to achieve the kind of lighting and atmosphere I was aiming for without needing to build custom shader systems from scratch.
My background is mainly in modeling rather than programming, so BP also made it possible for me to build the game myself while focusing on the parts I care most about: environments, lighting, and atmosphere.
