Being part of this sub and the person who always wanted to make films, I recently completed shoot of my first short film. I just want to share my experience which could help people of this sub.

1. The first comes self doubt. Is the story good, can I make it? Will people watch my work? Let that fiddle with your mind. These doubts make you do better.

2. Let the first one be mid or average. Let people judge. You will find 100s of people who says you’re not good. Let them talk. You start first.

3. Build a team. Call up your frnds. Ask them if someone is doing the same thing. Sit with them in a cafe (or your dining) talk whats in your mind. May be something good could come out of it.

4. Write stories which you can afford making. Initiatially I wanted to shoot my story inside my flat but ended up shooting somewhere with the cost. Always find an alternative without compromising the quality.

5. Rome is not built in a day. Give yourself time. Perfect yourself. Write. Write better.

6. Invest time in pre production so that shoot happens within time. Take time for post production works.

7. I have no idea, if my film will be good enough. But it doesn’t bother me anymore. You can’t satisfy everybody. Do your best.

Im not sure if the price quoted is too much of a low ball but im looking to buy bs6 Himalayan 411 in Bangalore. Any lead would be appreciated.

Chaos erupted at Karavali trailer launch event. The main lead Prajwal Devraj was absent. There are 2 sides. Let me summarise:

1. Prajwal Devaraj claims his remuneration is still pending so he refused to dub untill the full payment. Now the trailer has his voice dubbed.
2. Few individuals who claimed to be Prajwal Devraj die hard fans obstructed the event for not having “annan voice” in the trailer.
3. He clarified that the decision to use a dubbed voice was purely a creative choice to fit the character. He also stated that Devaraj's team had confirmed he would attend the launch until the night before, canceling only at the last minute.

Payments dues are to be questioned lawfully and ethically but is it right to create a mess during a trailer launch when bunch of people are depending upon the film’s release?

Who are these so called fans who were never to be seen before for PD’s earlier movies which bombed at BO and suddenly he has become a Anna now?
My predictions are these are the gimmicks the team is relying on to create a buzz. A week of time and we’ll see posts “everything is okay and sorted” posts on social media. Btw KVN is the production house so it could be usual trick as well.

I’m a music lover and singer. I’m always intrigued by jamming sessions people do. Im reaching out if anyone her plays instruments like tabla, harmonium etc. I would love people come over do a Karnataka classical jam session covering daasara padagalu, bhavageete or bhaktigeethegalu. I saw someone asking for meaning behind “Kaakig Banna Kaanta” song in one of the subs. While I laughed at people giving misinformation or just giving plain translation, I tried to decode it by my understanding. Please read and let me know if this feels right.

1. ⁠Kaakig banna kantha, banna hakid charma kantha - does crow see color. Can it see the skin behind the color? This is poetically putting of does Ritchie(crow- black shirt) see Balu(who has paint-banna on his skin)
2. ⁠Bhangi sendad tali, satya kanta sullu kanta? - bhangi sendad tali is Munna. He has been smoking ganja in few scenes. He doesn’t really know if ritchie is at fault or not. So lyricist is asking us he is a smokehead can he see truth and false?
3. ⁠Jaidya eli bili sunna kanta? - jaidya eli (jaidyeli) is vilyadele. Can you see the beetleleaf and white limestone or the red color once you chew it red symbolising the blood.
4. ⁠Sath jeeva ganji tili kanta? - i laughed when people said jai and sajjeva are people😂. Lyricist is asking if the dead can taste the ganji tili?
5. ⁠Baashi barad nyalgi keerthi kanta kranti kanta? - the tongue which doesn’t know words can it see fame or revolution. This signifies if you don’t speak up would you see revolution?
6. ⁠Taligari lipi kanta? - can you see the scriptures written on the palm leaf? Like can you read and understand with your brain or just following someone’s order blindly.
7. ⁠Kanakan kindi mayyi banna kanta? - can you see the black color? (Kanakan kindi olage mai banna kansodu krishna du which is black). Can you see Balu who is black in heart since Ritchie thinks he cheated shankar poojary.
8. ⁠Daasar pada, habba kanta jatri kanta? - this whole line describes Janmasthami.

I tried my best decoding it with whatever Kunda kannada I know (im not from Kundapura🤫 im from Uttara Karnataka but i spent 4 yrs in Coastal Karnataka)

1. I joined X company in December ‘24.
2. I never had pf so the X company promised they’ll create one.
3. They deducted the amount from my salary until last month salary which is on Jul’ 25.
4. I got UAN after leaving the company in July 2025
5. I joined new company in Aug ‘25.
6. Since i had no prior knowledge about exit dates, the HR from X company asked me about my last working day in the X company. They have registered the date as exit date.
7. I’ve been following up regarding settlement since Aug of 2025. But I only got “We’re working on it. It’ll be settled next month”
8. Cut to 11 months later, I finally told the MD of X company since im not getting any resolution on this, I’ll be legally taking it forward.
9. They’re saying because of exit dates issue, they cannot deposit the amount in my UAN and they’ll settle it offline.
10. Now my question is “Am I only eligible for the Employee contribution if settled offline or Can I fight for both employee and employer contributions? If I proceed legally what are the things to be taken care of?”
