I hate how the MCU tries to make itself Earth-616 when its Earth-1999999

Recently the MCU has started to try to make their universe the 616 when for years now its been designated as Earth 1999999 since the official handbook. It started in Far From Home but that eas clearly a wink and a nod to the audience but it gets the title of 616 officially in Multiverse of Madness which doesnt work imo since the comics is 616. I like how Spiderverse keeps it as Earth 1999999 though and hope it sticks to that label

Absorbing energy does CAUSE insanity, it doesnt amplify it

For some reason people think absorbing energy amplifies insanity when thats strictly not what is said in UA

What if Zero attended Schneizel's ceasefire meeting with the rest of the Black Knight leaders

Would things be the same or would Zero be able to convince the Black Knight leaders to still trust him as he explains everything

Side Note: I really hate how they go from this to deciding to just kill Zero trusting the enemy very easily without asking for an explanation. Oghi was the worst though, legit annoying how he fucked everyone over with Viletta relationship and came out on top. Tamaki and Kallen are goated though

Why do people completely misinterpret and glorify Zuko as the Blue Spirit

For some reason the fandom treats the blue spirit as if its Zuko's good vigilante side, but they often misinterpret WHY he does what he did as the blue spirit.

The blue spirit as a whole represents Zuko without any of his integrity, or morals as he commits purely selfish and immoral acts that benefit himself. People often point to how Zuko freed Aang from Zhao as the blue spirit but ignore that he didnt do it for a noble reason, but instead he did it for his own selfishness as HE wanted to be the one to capture the avatar not Zhao and decided to commit treason knowing that he was wrong because at that point he still believed in the fire nation. Other actions Zuko did as the Blue Spirit to benefit himself include when he kidnapped Aang in the North Pole with no plan and wouldve died there if it wasn't for Aang's kindness. Later on as the Blue Spirit he steals food from people while he and Iroh are on the run despite knowing this is also a bad thing. Even later on he plans on kidnapping Appa so can try to get Aang with no plan in sight. After Iroh's talk Zuko even abandons the blue spirit mask deciding to be better.

In Zuko's story blue even represents the worser more negative traits in him. Such as when his own body was in inner turmoil after deciding to give Appa to Aang, where we see a red and blue dragon with the blue dragon being voiced by Azula telling him to rest as its clearly represented as the bad while Iroh's red dragon was telling Zuko to stay awake represented as good. In the Roku flashback we even see that Roku sports a red dragon while Sozin himself had a blue dragon which also ties into Zuko's turmoil and the fact that both men were his grandfather. Later on in Legend of Korra after we see Zuko's redemption he even has his own red dragon.

Ironically we see Zuko comit more selfless acts as himself not the blue spirit. Such as when he tries to save Zhao from the water spirit or when he decides to not steal a couples food and fights for the family in Zuko alone.

My turn...

Tried to focus on a practical balanced playlist, sadly couldnt add all my favorites but I think I these 14 alien will help achieve my peak playlist. Picking between Ghostfreak and Wildvine was a really tuff choice ngl

Season 2 of the Original Series is the PEAK of the Franchise

Yes I said it. Season 2 of the original series, the writers just hit the ball out of the park.

  1. I love how Truth included Phil who was a well done villain from Grandpa Max's past, as well as us learning more plumber lore

  2. We learn that new alien can be unlocked, and Cannobolt was such a great 11th alien. His design and powers and introduction were all done really well.

  3. Framed was a great reintroduction to Kevin, as well as continuing his story with him getting his iconic mutation. It also gave us one of the best lines in the series imo. "Nobody's innocent, they just haven't had the chance to make fun of me"

  4. I love Gwen 10 more than the fandom tbh. I enjoy Ben learning to be a hero without the watch and I also love how its not a 1 for 1 remake of season 1, and in this world events occur differently, such as vilgax not being injured

  5. Grudge match was an excellent follow up to frame, as now Ben and Kevin have to team up, also the audience gets to see Kevin's new mutation in action, especially him combining his powers. Seeing Ben defeat Kevin with Cannonbolt was really hype imo. Technorg was such a nice character and him saving Ben at the end was sweet

  6. I like Galatic Enforcers for letting us see how stuff works in the Galactic scale. The enforcers themselves are sweet and Ultimos was a preety enjoyable Superman parody. His weakness being chocolate is still hilarious to me

  7. I like how Camp Fear highlighted Ben and Gwen's relationship more, as even if they argue they still noe how to work together when stuff gets serious. The 2 twins work as a nice parallel to Ben and Gwen. It also gave us Wildvine whos massively underrated imo

  8. Ultimate Weapon gave some nice highlight on Grandpa Max, and I like how the audience has known Max long enough to tell hes OOC here, but his turnaround was preety good when he saves Ben and Gwen at the end

  9. Tough Luck was a nice reintroduction to Hex, and also introduced Charmcaster and their abusive relationship. I also like hoe Ben wants to work with Gwen instead of being jealous like in season 1

  10. I really liked Edwin and his grandpa in They Lurk Below and think the arc was sweet. Ripjaws was preety badass

  11. Ghostfreaked Out was an amazing payoff to the subtle set up the writers did with Ghostfreak earlier, and Zskyar was great and really imposing

  12. Dr. Animo and the mutant ray was good as we see Ben tinkering with the Omnitrix which I enjoy seeing, along with bringing hack Dr. Animo in a great role

  13. Back With A Vengeance was an amazing season finale and probably my favorite episode in the entire franchise. I love seeing master control against the team up of Ben's 2 best and strongest villains atp. My only problem is that Ben knows how to deactivate master control suddenly tho id still give the episode a 9/10

I think season 2 of the original series just exemplifies everything great about Ben 10 and shows why I really got into the series in the first place. Rewatching this was a treat

My Full Review On 5YL

Since 5yl ended today I decided to watch all episodes of the motion comic from beginning to end to finalize my thoughts on the series as a whole

5yl things I like:

  1. I think it handled the characters overall right like Ben and Danny and especially Vlad was really fun to read. I like Danny and Vlad conversation towards the end and this weird relationship they have was cool. I also love the interactions between Danny and Ben's cast of characters, especially the convo with Rook.

  2. Lula was an enjoyable character to read and I enjoyed her more than I initially thought I would. The Upgrade guy (forgot his name already) was funny with the idiot pill joke

  3. Cooper was cool with his characterization being preety great. His death was also nice

  4. Eon's backstory was amazing, and the way 5yl condensed his messy lore was great

  5. I liked how we learn of what each character did in thise 5 years

  6. Full stop and Portaler were the best of the new aliens

  7. I like Ben's dilemma about Alien X and his discussion with Divinity later on.

  8. Future Fenton was a cool addition to the story, especially with the mystique they built up towards the character

  9. Gwen and Kevin's powers were cool to watch in action, as we see how they've grown

  10. The jokes were preety good like the one with Clockwork and Kevin or the weak walkatrout variant as Ben and Gwen banter about taking it down.

  11. Also enjoyed the Clockwork and Paradox interactions as Clockwork was tired of re-explaining over and over

  12. I enjoyed how Eon became Divinity with the twist of him basically building an ultimatrix to get stronger with Cooper tragically failing to stop him

5yl problems:

  1. Pacing is preety poor imo. The story goes quickly from this fun crossover into a multiversal battle. Then we spend what feels like ages on the Divinity fight as the pacing just slows too much. Like I feel like we spent ages of Ben and Danny fighting him just for him to counter them easily cause hes a God now. Though the Alien X fight was really cool.

  2. Orion squad is underdeveloped, and they werent fleshed our enough. Besides Lula idrc about the others and when the one member "died" I didnt care

  3. The way they change ecto energy, to make it this OP thing is uninteresting to me along with Danny/Vlad getting these new forms i dont care for as it starts to feel like dragonball nonsense. Like when I saw the clone Vlad new form I was so done atp.

  4. There's some random edgy moments like how Ben murders a tokustar. The way the tokustar died feels weird too, like the random rock just pierced it, HOW...

  5. Divinity design is ass along with a lot of other redesign like way big, feedback, armodrillo and so on. Ben's main design is mid to bad for me, feels too self inserty as I dont see Ben wearing a beanie and getting a soul patch. I didnt enjoy Kevin's suit cause the blue and red clashed. Danny's final suit was alright but the first one was better imo. There are good designs tho, and I really enjoyed Gwen's design along with other aliens like Echo Echo

  6. I didnt enjoy much of the new aliens tbh. I like full stop and portaler but the rest were just there for me. Also didnt enjoy how basically all of Ben's other aliens were just useless because of the Ecto energy wank, like I wanted to see them more but once Divinity arrives it just turned into this dbz battle where Ben spams his most OP aliens with most of them being new ones I have no attachment to

  7. Why did no one try to stop Eon when he was in the Godmaker. Only cooper tried, while the rest were wasting time on the Ben variants and Vlad. Future Fenton calls them out on this but it just gets brushed aside with no good answer

5yl was preety good. Id give it a 6/10 tbh
