Ate around 9 grams of this monster, would give an in depth trip report if I could remember/put into language 90% of the experience but unfortunately that’s impossible, but safe to say i experienced the most intense ego death off psychedelics i’ve had yet. Ive never actually hallucinated off of psychedelics until yesterday, i’ve had extreme visual distortions and geometry before, and have taken large amounts of both shrooms and acid at the same time but have never actually full on hallucinated something that wasn’t there until this experience. Anyways, just wanted to share this beast of a shroom and what it did to my mind lol.

Splash-Cup Bird’s-Nest, Cyathus stercoreus, barely even looks like a mushroom. It starts off looking like plant buds, and eventually opens up in a way that looks just like a birds nest! Found a bunch in the mulch surrounding the trees at a public park.

United States, Maryland. Found in a lawn, super tough to pull out, I think its a golden reishi but it looks so weird and deformed, smells exactly like and feels like a mushroom though so I know it is lol

This patch of grain spawn looks pretty suspicious to me, it’s the color of metabolites but the texture is somewhat…powdery? like its cheeto dust or something, and the patch is bigger than alot of the mycopiss ive seen before. not experienced with contam but it doesnt look like trich to me based on the pictures ive seen of it, could be totally off base tho. Could also just be the strain atleast thats what im hoping for, anyone who grows tidal wave know if they have alot of metabolites?

Is this Psilocybe coronilla? Located in Maryland

P.E. is not a strain for the impatient…It has taken months colonizing this grain, the mycelium grows slowly in dense rope like clusters, and they have grown up the side of the bag, but for some reason have not colonized the surface one bit. I really do not want to break and shake again, this would be the third time and I don’t wanna risk it stalling out, for anyone with more experience should I just break and shake again or neglect tek? Not sure how to make the conditions more favorable, it’s been sitting in a dark area with the temperature in the mid 70s with good airflow and humidity im pretty sure. Ive been thinking “this is the week i’m gonna send it” for about a month at this point, please someone who knows this strain well help out for my sanity lol.

Throw us a better bone 2k I get they are free invincibles but man I cant use all of these in a full lineup even if i tried theres too many guards especially since the max height of all these mfs is 6’6…at least the new paul pierce is 6’7 even though not much better lol

This grain spawn has taken forever, penis envy takes longer to colonize and so do rye berries so i’m not totally surprised, but i’m confused on why the mycelium appears so thin. Did a break and shake about 10 days ago and usually by now it’s fully colonized, at least thats what happened with my golden teachers. Does this strain naturally appear thinner than others, and i should just send it now? or should i just take another week or so to let it fill out? Or am i doing something else wrong? Temperature has been in the 74-76 range, humidity’s consistent, and I believe so is the air flow. Please let me know if you have any advice!
