Why do you need a solar filter for eclipse, when lanscape photographers shoot sunsets all the time?
My apologies if this question seems redundant... I live in north europe, the ecplise will be around 8pm and close to the horizon. Thanks for all the advice.
Noob needs you help: Last quentions for the first time developing
Hey people,
after a long time, I can finally start to develope my film myself, I am pretty excited, but there are one or two things I am still not sure about, even after my research. These will probably be redundant for you guys but I would still really appreciate, if you could answer these for me. This is the gear I will use: Jobo 1520, Adox Adonal and Fix
- Do I have to use longer development time when I am developing 2x 120 films in one spiral? And if not, how can that be, if I use the same amount of dev for one and for two films?
- For how many films can I reuse the fixer or is it only one use like the developer?
- What should I keep in mind, when I develop only one roll 135 in the Jobo 1520? I would only use half the capacity right? ( 250ml )
- Is there any problem when developing two different film ( same asa ) in the same tank? Or do I just got to choose two film with the same dev time?
- Do you have any personal advice for the first time developing?
Thanks very much! I will try to show you the results...

I need your help
Hey guys, I tried to repair the light meter from my analog camera and had some issues. One cable came off the battery compartment and I tried to solder it back on but the solder won't stick to the plate.. what to do? I used soldering acid and already sanded it down a little and cleaned it with alcohol..
I would really appriciate any advice!
I need your help: broken lightmeter
Hello guys, I just got this beautiful little shooter, Konica Auto S3 with a not working lightmeter. I already discovered the issue: this blue cable came off the battery compartment.. Can I just solder it back on? An on which exact spot should I do it? Anything else I should keep in mind?
Thank you very much for any advice!

Economic options: XL scans
Hi everyone, at the moment I'm searching for ways to make this hobby a bit more affordable. To begin with I want to finally set up my own scanning system. I'm thinking about digital camera scannning with pixel shift, for I need high res scans ( maybe an older Olympus OMD with vintage macro lens? ). I only shoot B/W. Budget 500€
I would really appreciate any advice... what do you generally think about DIY scanning? Will it ever be as good as decent lab scans? Can you suggest any affordable camera models with pixel shift?

And one more: What do you think about bulk loading? Is it a must do to save money?

Thank you so much for any advice!
Keep shooting <3
