I like the Deathwatch Kill Team but don't really vibe with the colour scheme. So I decided to kitbash my own team.
The Aegis seemed funny to me as he's basically the "smash it with the big stick"-operative so I figured it would be funny if mine was a Techmarine.
Yes, his shield is a Knight model's tilting Shield.

The Dreadnought that the tech-priest puts you in when you skip leg day.
Also, family photo with all my dreads.
Lastly, a couple photos of the build process for this:
I got the dread body and gun from vinted for a fiver.
I had the first part of the sentinel sprue from the Combat Patrol magazine and was going to use this for another kitbash but once I got the idea for a chicken leg dread I needed to build it. A lot of time and sprue goo went into welding this thing together.
I ran out of transfers for the shoulders so tried using tape to mask off the shape. It didn't quite work out as well as I'd hoped but good enough for this very un-serious guy.

In life, he always skipped leg day. In death, he still brings the gun-show.
I noticed a third person that posted this in addition to /u/9EE2H24 last week. This is the BROTTAR cabinet from Amazon. When that post prompted me to take a look it was discounted the most it's ever been so I too decided to finally bit the bullet.
I'm still figuring out my exact layout but I'm already incredibly happy with it.
I think if I had to be super critical, they could squeeze and extra shelf in and make them each less tall. But in practice, for £155, this is about as good as I could get, with built in lighting, that fits pretty much perfectly into the space I needed.
Current plan is to keep a shelf with some space spare for my unpainted minis as it provides a lot more inspiration to just grab one and finish it compared to when they're stored away in magnetic containers.
And once more of the unpainted is painted/some of my larger vehicles are finished, I'll probably move things around and more fully utilise the fourth shelf.
4realz, I don't collect orks. The models look beautiful but if I get the new box I'll be selling/gifting most of them to friends.
HOWEVER
This walker looks like a perfect based for an Intranzia proxy to go with my Anti-Ork Sisters.
