Finally finished my 1.7.10 weapon mod and wanted to share, started making this mod nearly 2 months ago as I noticed there weren't many simple but unique weapon mods for 1.7.10 rn when I was playing challenge games with my friends. This mod is designed with the 'explosive' feels of old 1.7.10 in mind such as orespawn from the 2015 era. Highly inspired by popularmmos (fav minecraft youtuber)

Warcraftisgood's Awesome Weapons adds in 75+ detailed weapons with unique mechanic/abilities, most of which are from games I play such as WOW/LOL/Expedition 33 to name a few, and were originally designed to be used for mini games like challenge games/hunger games. The mod mainly focus on aesthetics and character fantasies, most weapons were designed to try and capture the character fantasies of the original character they were inspired by.

The weapons in the mod that deals some type of ability dmg has built in scaling for weapon dmg meaning weapon abilities do more dmg the higher base dmg the weapon has, and infinite scaling is introduced through an item that can be used to infinitely increase an item's sharpness (can be crafted or drop off high hp mobs). Mod focuses on weapons themselves and not on acquisition so most weapons are gotten from just pure RNG by fighting mobs/crafting caches. The mod itself is highly configurable for balancing, and although it's already balanced for a regular survival world, it's meant to be played in higher player power mod packs such as divine rpg/Orespawn. Weapons have rarities, with higher rarity weapons usually having more detailed abilities.

I made Maelle's weapon in minecraft.

implemntation was basically: blocking acitvates parry for 0.3 seconds, making u immune to dmg. auto cancels after 0.3 seconds and have cooldown like in game. attacker takes 250% of weapon dmg if their attack gets parried, works for melee/ranged attacks, thought this is kinda cool.

thought it's kinda cool.

Making a pretty detailed weapons mod for the older 1.7.10 folks raised on the days of popularmmos with weapons from alot of my favourite video games. Here's a showcase of an animated sword weapon/Remornia.

Nearly finished, probably gonna end up with around 70-80 weapons total with 2/3rds having special abilities, doing this as a hobby in the summer. Mod name is gonna be Warcraftisgood's Awesome Weapons. Decided to make this since 1.7.10 is the only version I play and I don't see many good weapon mods to use in mini games.

What's the best champ to introduce a new top player to the game when you can act as a 'coach'?

Alot of folks say 'garen' or 'malphite' due to easy mechanics but IMO it's Jax.

Champs like garen and malphite are forgiving and nearly always useful but does not teach good top lane fundamentals (micro and mechanics) well imo. Champs like illaoi and trundle tend to give players too many bad habits that doesn't

Jax does not have many harrrd unplayable counters, and requires mana management, trading patterns, somewhat knowing what the opponent does, as well as having a leap and a simple auto reset. Powerful split push and scales well into the late game dueling wise. These are all important fundamentals of top lane transferable to other champions that malphite does not provide. Jax's gameplay is also engaging enough where new players won't find the game 'boring'.

New player might find all this 'overwhelming' but tbh if they come in with a basic understanding from a higher elo mentor before hand they'll be fine after either a demo in training tool or a few games.

Thoughts?

i just recently started playing ranked after being a pure normal player since when I first started in 2021. I decided to OTP darius and at first it was fine, promos placed me in iron 1 and i climbed to bronze, but I'm in Bronze 1 after a few days and noticed my games were just wayyy harder/huge difficulty spike. Then I checked opgg and realized my enemy top laner and most if sometimes all of the enemy team was platinum/gold? How do I climb if I'm being put against much more difficult opponents than me?
