The best-selling worst performance hatch for 2025

In 2025 Toyota Camry sold 316k units in the US... more than 5x all of these models COMBINED.

It goes to show you how minuscule the "enthusiast" market is. Seeing this, you can understand why BMW is trying to appeal to a wider demographic.

Minus One Car Wash

The mobil station on Northern Blvd (past the Home Depot) has removed their Power washing machines. The nearest I could find was in woodside.

I really liked pressure washing the car vs the rollers and brushes. If anyone knows of a pressure wash station in Astoria. Let me know.

Stalker Rule #1

I followed this lady in traffic for a few blocks and took her picture, b/c I assumed she was also driving to the dealership. She wasn't.

Also the rear looks awesome. I understand that's its a big departure, but to say it's bad design is just dumb.

Passenger side front fender trim

F66 2 door.

So this keeps popping out at the bottom. Eventually feels like its just gonna blow off. I asked the dealer and they wanted $200 to take it off and put it back on. Can I just use a piece of trim tape, or should I bite the bullet and pay to have it fixed right? Could any bod shop do it cheaper?

I'm ok paying an "idiot tax" for not being handy vs trying to learn and effing it up worse than it is now.

Transmission Confusion

I took my spark to a transmission specialist to get the scheduled fluid flush. They said not to bother that it would create more problems than its worth.

A couple months later, I took it to a chevy dealership and they said the same thing.

People here are saying to change it every 30k mi.

I was aware of the cvt issues and was planning to sell the car before it dies, but now im thinking of keeping it and would like it to last a while...

Fluctuating voltage in old building

I live in a building built in the late 50s. Poured concrete with wiring in metal conduit (I assume). A lot of lights in the apt flicker, especially in the bathroom and the dining room. The dining room had a dimmer switch that I replaced b/c I thought it was defective but the flickering is still there.

Do you think this is a building wide issue, or specific to those two fixtures, and is there anything I can do about it?

MINI Superleggera would you drive it?

If they found a way to mass produce the MINI Superleggera concept car, would you buy it and what do you think they'd ask for it. Do you think it should be an EV or ICE?

The mini cooper business case

Someone complained that the new gen was too expensive, but mini's msrp has been relatively locked in around $32,050 – the 20 year average. Of course this doesnt show the full spec price.

Side note, you can see US sales peak in 2012 and drop off, possibly as problems with the R56 emerged and impacted the brand perception. Sale figures are all models.

Man, I love this car.

Wife and I took a drive up the Hudson Valley. Car is such a pleasure to drive. Smooth as silk at 70mph+, changes lanes in a flash. Blind spot detection warned me about the jerk passing on the right at 90mph. Everything in the car makes driving relaxing even in the chaos of NYC.

And we got ice cream and watched youtube videos in the car

Ps i got to use the pre-condition which is such a nice convenience when its 90F.
