got any fun ideas for a 12 light player session?

i'm writing a fanfic about a session with 12 light players. (here if you're curious. there's like two chapters out.) and i have the general shape of the plot and characters but i'm still open to some other ideas. are there any interesting powers you think they might have, or interesting interactions they might have?

is this how the gates work?

this is the only configuration that makes sense, i think. dave passed through a gate 5 to get to his own planet in dave: accelerate, and john passed through the gate seven over his own planet to get to his denizen's lair, and your gate one leads to your planet, and your gate 2 leads to above your server player's planet...so...i think this works?

the only thing that contradicts it is davesprite's "round robin" comment, but i don't think ANY configuration works for that. you still can visit planets that aren't on your path, you just have to...deviate from your path, which isn't really too difficult. because players enter at different times, you can enter your server player's planet before they've finished building up to their gate three, so you can help them with their quest. it makes sense.

[Honors Pre-Calc and Differential Calculus] is my teacher right that I can’t use pi?

for clarity’s sake, f’(x) isn’t the function drawn onto the graph, it’s the one that’s printed. the drawn function was my answer to 8e.

it might be hard to tell, but the f’(x) graph hits the x-axis just past where 3 is. I was a little unsure while taking the test what to put, but then I realized that the function looked like a wave, and I realized it was probably pi.

according to her, this was wrong. there’s apparently no one answer: I could’ve said 3, or 3.1, or something. but the problem was that apparently pi is not on the number line, and that it’s too much effort for her to figure out that pi/2 is a little more than 1.5. even though I marked on the graph with the inflection points where it was.

(in case you’re wondering, e WAS meant to be f(x). she made a mistake and told us to scribble out “the inverse” and replace it with “f(x)“. I got 8e right.)

am I wrong, or is this completely absurd?? I guess that maybe pi is a bit of a stretch to come to if that wasn’t the intent, but if that were the case I should’ve gotten one point off at the start and the rest should‘ve been fine for self-consistency. but apparently I was “treating it like radians” so I got a point off for each one.

ranking homestuck ships by how INTERESTING they are (and by how good)

this is specifically redrom. if i was including pale relationships, then meowrails, erikar, and karkan would be way higher. meowrails would be higher for being interesting, not for being good. fight me about it i'll cite my sources bitch

also yeah i just thoroughly do NOT care about gamtav. i skipped every pesterlog between these two. i think there was only like 1 or 2 though, lol. i watched the dub my first readthrough and the pacing of act 5 act 2 was just dragging on so much near the end that i did not care enough to read them shittily rapping at each other for thirty minutes. i skip it every time i reread out of spite now

but yeah i did it by how INTERESTING because, like....that's kind of the point of shipping, imo? like yeah sure sometimes you want cute fluff, understandable, i do too, but i don't go feral over vrisrezi (just) because they're good for each other, i go feral for them because of how BAD they are for each other. i don't find stridercest cute but it's undeniably really interesting. three years was a good comic, etc. etc.
