Immigration tightening is real

A friend has been coming to Thailand for the past 15 years, each time 2/3 weeks and two to three times a year. Never over stayed and never extended.

However, stayed for two months once, march and April 2026 - and back now for another two months. So this time (today) he got stopped, questioned, asked about showing enough funds, return ticket, etc. The reason was because of this being the second time asking 2 months stay. Although he had everything, the additional officers that came in to assist in a decision were joking that Pattaya (as that is the first stop), need the client now… so boy and gals, sort your Visas!

I personally believe instead of given free visa to 90+ nationalities, the country need long term staying to apply for a visa, those fees could be put to a good use.

Do not book flights tickets via OTA, do it directly with the airlines

The reason we all use OTA is because they are cheaper, however, over time the math is not worth it. Once you book via an OTA, you cannot fully manage your ticket with the airline and won’t get possibilities to change your ticket to another flight in case of cancellation or for some even to select your seats (for those with status) - it varies which airline and which OTA. You only need to get screwed one time with the OTA and all of your savings from OTAs are gone. You can still use OTA for hotels but please avoid them - many complaints I see daily here from fellow travelers.

Is it just me or the portions of protein in Taiwan is small?

Being all around and I still face the same issue with portion sizes of the meats - is there a restriction on meat consumption or a kind of special tax or maybe all are imported?

Viral video of Thai FL vs Africans

That video claims that African girls are preferred over Thai girls in Pattaya, considering if that’s true, what do they offer better/more than the Thais?

Saudia is limiting Business-class pax access to the Al Fursan lounge at JED to 6 hours, even though they sell flights with 11+ hours of transit.

I have an 11-hour transit flight via JED; this is usually manageable as I have access to the Al Fursan lounge. However, today the story was different. I was told I would have no access until six hours before departure.

The handling agents (not-so-nice ladies) didn’t understand that this is a usual route I take and that I get access even though the transit is 11 hours. Another passenger arrived with a 12-hr transit and was also denied entry.

Then we went to the passenger service at Saudia and were grudgingly told the same thing, and that if we were not happy, we could go to the Saudia counter before security or file a complaint online. Arrived there, again not Saudia staff, all 3rd party handling agents (at JEF, Saudia home base, one would expect a proper Saudia team - which is baffling me over the years since flying this route). However, this time, with manners, they were also surprised to learn that business-class passengers don’t have access to the lounge until 6 hours before departure. They called the lounge and were told that Al Fursan is now a separate company and that they have a new policy in place.

So, even if Al Fursan is a separate company, isn’t it Saudia's loyalty program? Aren’t they, then, part of SkyTeam? Business class aside, SkyTeam elite members get access to the lounge regardless of booking class and without any limitations, including during transit, as long as flying with a SkyTeam member.

Has anyone faced this before?

TB does not have sources/links, or at least not as updated as it used to be

After the Stremio debacle, I managed to get TB back via Comet, but over time, I've noticed that TB doesn’t have recent links like it used to. Anyone noticing the same?

Just relocated to TH and processing the dating culture in Pattaya.

So, it’s said that TF and Tinder apps are Prostitution apps. And the accepted dating stages here are to go ST, then LT and finally hope that one will like you enough and select you as the boyfriend (number x). Did I sum it up correctly?

For the OGs here, how do you work it out?
