A Democrat is leading in a special election in Butler County Pennsylvania— a district Trump won by 18 points

Republicans outnumber Democrats in the district — an area covering the southwestern corner of the county — by almost 2 to 1.

Just two years ago, Trump won the district by 18 percentage points, and in the same election, Scialabba trounced her Democratic opponent by 30 points.

In 2024, Trump carried all 27 precincts in the district. On Tuesday night, Dukes was leading in 15 of them.
